Chapter 1203
Chapter 1203
When Liam asked Owen to make this lighter, Owen knew what he was planning to do.
Owen was a kind–hearted person; he worried Liam would offend his brother‘ Steven, and tried to advise him to reconsider.
But Liam retorted, “Just do as I say.”
Owen probably never expected that Liam would deal with Steven in this way
Even though he called Steven brother‘ on the surface, he kept in mind all the harm Steven had done.
How could he not give his brother‘ a ‘surprise‘ on the day of the family gathering?
Poor Leonard; hopefully he could run faster. This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.
Soon, Celeste came out of the shop with a bag on her back.
Liam started the car and drove it to her
Celeste opened the door and got in.
She only took two bags when she left but came back with two more.
After Celeste buckled her seat belt, she took out three bank cards from her bag, “Look! Look! Are you jealous?”
Seeing her excitement, Liam knew that she was very satisfied with the gathering, and the corner of his mouth couldn’t help but lift into a slight smile
“Did your grandparents give these to you?”
“And my uncle and Mr. Garcia… uh, and my dad”
She was used to calling Shawn Campbell her dad. Having an extra biological dad was still a bit uncomfortable for her.
As Liam started the car, he said, “Seems like everyone knows about your preferences”
While Celeste was tidying up the boxes, she casually asked, “What preferences?”
Liam glanced at her, “Greed and lust.”
Celeste fell silent
This man really couldn’t say anything nice!
She cracked open the box, pulling out the paint.
Check out what I got you”
Liam took one look, “Handmade paint?”
“You’re quite the connoisseur. Celeste held the ink stone, “Must’ve cost a pretty penny, huh?”
“Judging by the craftsmanship and materials, it ain’t cheap. But we’ve gotta give it a whirl to really know.” Liam said.
After a pause, he added, “You’re not into painting; why would your Grandpa give this to you?”
“It’s not from Grandpa, Celeste said as she carefully put the paint back into the box, “It’s from Mrs. Janis… my stepmom.”
Liam was taken aback, “She’s there?”
He remembered that the Hanns didn’t exactly roll out the red carpet for Hiram Garcia’s second wife.
“We were having dinner, and she showed up to give Hiram his medicines. From the sound of it, she knew about me all along. This paint was a gift for Grandpa, and she also got something for me.”
As she said this, she grabbed a bag from the side, I haven’t checked it out yet.”
She opened the bag, pulling out a box. Inside was a bottle of perfume.
“CALE” Celeste read, “Sounds familiar.”
Liam gave a small smile, “It’s the Garcia family brand. Your biological mother actually started it. Used to be called Aroma Artistry, but your stepmom runs
it now.”
Celeste was taken aback, “My… mom used to make perfume?”
Liam chuckled. “She was a top–notch perfumer. Not just perfumes, anything that had to do with scent. Food, booze, medicines, you name it, she had a hand in it. My dad used to have trouble sleeping, and the soothing aroma he used was her creation.”
