Nanny and Her Four Alpha Bullies

Chapter 20

Chapter 20

I whip around and glare at him. “Slaves?” I growl. “What the fuck?”

Archer merely shrugs. “It’s an ancient Hayes tradition,” he says. “All employees are members of the Hayes Court of Slaves. It’s a highest mark of honor

“Fuck you,” I hiss and shove his chest. “I’m not wearing this shit.”

“You don’t have choice,” Archer says, unamused. “I’ve tossed all your other shit. It’s either that or be naked. Not that i give a fuck.”

I seethe. There’s no way I’m running around this campus naked. It’d give the pretentious, misogynist Hayes b

“I’m not going to the fucking dance,” I throw back..

“Again, you don’t have a choice.”

“Why do I need to be there? Mia and I can stay home instead of being paraded around like show ponies.”

Archer scoffs. “You’re not good looking enough to be paraded around, I jerk back in shock. It’s a massive difference from the compliments he was just throwing my way. From the way he was touching me.

“I’m not going.” I grit out.

“All freshmen are required to attend their first homecoming,” Archer says. I can sense he’s starting to get annoyed. “Plus, the boys and I are going as well. No one’s home to watch the baby.”

1 growl at him. He’s making my escape impossible. He nods once at me

“Great,” he says. “Can’t wait to see you there.”

His voice is thick with sarcasm. His eyes, however, are hot on me. They’ve been like that since I left the bathroom in his bougie clothes. I open my mouth to tell him to stop staring at the help. Just as I speak, he turns on his heel and leaves. The door slams shut behind him and I’m locked in my room in clothes that I don’t want. I miss my holey tee–shirts.

I sigh and look back at Mia. She’s asleep despite the commotion, knocked out in her play thing. I scoop her up and gingerly put her lock the crib in place and sigh. I step back and watch her stretch and groan, smack her lips together then pass back out

This baby is the only thing keeping me calm. For a whole three months, I’ll be here. I’m enduring the assholes of all assholes and biting my tongue to stop from lashing out. But then, I get to see her beautiful little face and watch her develop into a whole little baby wolf.

I’m stepping into my second week now. Only two and a half months left. I sigh and lay down in my own bed, looking up at the ceiling and praying to the Gods I make it out alive.

I wake up as Mia does. I look over at her and she is, undoubtably, the cutest baby of all time. Her cheeks are fat and red and her eyes are wide and blue. When she giggles, little dimples curl in her cheeks and I can’t help but giggle back at her.

I scoop her in my arms and blow a raspberry on her stomach. She squeals and I giggle back at her. She’s wonderful, this little baby. I look down at her and wonder if she’s had all of her newborn vaccines. I take out my phone and sigh. Time to call the assholes.

Chapter 20

I call Neil first. The phone almost rings to voicemail when he picks up.

“Hello?” He sounds breathless and nervous.

“Hey! Does Mia have

“Is she okay?”

“Er,” I pause and look down at her. She smiles up at me. “Yeah she’s fine but

“I’m sorry, Chloe,” Neil says hurridly. “There’s a bit of an emergency on campus. Can you call one of my brothers?”

“Yeah,” I say, slightly disappointed. I rub the back of my neck. “Yeah, of course.”

“Thank you!” The phone disconnects and starts to beep.

I grumble to myself and think of the next volatile brother to call. Steven’s call doesn’t even ring. I goes Great, that leaves the twins.

dead as soon as I call the number.

I call Beau first. He may be a dick but he’s less of a dick than Archer. The phone rings a few times then a woman picks up.

“Hello?”

She sounds mad. I blink a few times before speaking.

“Hi, is Beau there?”

“Who is it?” I hear in the background. Most definitely Beau.

“who the fuck is ‘Nanny‘?” the woman sneers.

“Babel Babe, come on

The phone line goes dead. Double great. That only left Archer. I groaned as I rang his number. It rang twice then Archer picked up

“I left you like an hour ago,” Archer sighs. “What possibly can be wrong?”

“Mia,” I say quickly. “Does she have her vaccine’s?”

“I don’t know,” Archer sounds genuinely concerned. “But is this something that needs to be done now? I just got to the gym.”

“Not really but we shouldn’t delay it,” I give Mia my finger. She wraps her palm around it.

“Not re

Archer sighs. “If it’s not urgent we can do it later. Or call my brother’s.”

“They’re all busy,” I say.

“Me fucking too, Chloe. We’ll do it later.” The line goes dead.

I feel anger spark inside me again. Maybe I should start smoking weed or something. I’m angry so often and it can’t be good for my blood pressure. I chuck my phone at my bed and look down at Mia. She’s dozed off again, hand still curled around my thumb. I gently pry it free and kiss the top of her head.

I set up the baby monitor and march my way through the Pyramid. I sit in the gold room until all the brothers show up. It’s about two hours after my calls. They all walk in laughing and prancing about as if they don’t have, care in the world. They stop as soon as they spot me, standing in the middle of my room with my hands on my hips.

“What the fuck?” I hiss.

“Cool your jets, Nanny,” Beau drawls. “I smoothed it over with my girl. She knows I’m not interested.”

“I don’t give a fuck about your side bitch,” I snap. “You’ve all been gone for hours. Half of you didn’t pick up your phones and the other half was too busy to care!”

“Sorry,” Steven mumbles. He looks uncomfortable. “I was at a hedge fund meeting. I had to keep my phone on silent or the investors get

mad.”

“I don’t give a shit!” I snap. “Are you all really this unwilling to take on fatherly responsibilities? Did you grow up like this? Without a parent? Clearly, you must’ve with the way your acting.”

The brothers all look at Archer. His shoulders heave with his breathes. He steps towards me and I swallow thickly. I may have fucked up.
