When Qin Muxuan got downstairs, Gu Zijin had already been waiting with Xiaoxin and Xiaobai. Looking at Qin Muxuan with her makeup on, Gu Zijin raised an eyebrow slightly.

Qin Muxuan felt her heart filled with warmth.

Gu Zijin glanced at Qin Muxuan in the rearview mirror and frowned, but he said calmly, “It’s okay. I’m here.”

Qin Muxuan looked up at Gu Zijin with surprise, then met Gu Zijin’s determined gaze, feeling more warmth in her heart.

Qin Muxuan knew that she shouldn’t have expectations for Gu Zijin, but what was out of her control was that after hearing Gu Zijin’s promise, Qin Muxuan still wanted to believe him one more time.

Qin Muxuan lowered her head and nodded slightly, but she looked clearly much more relaxed.

On the other hand, Ye Han did not have any expectations after the phone call with Gu Zijin in the morning. After all, Qin Muxuan had so many bad experiences here four years ago, so it was quite understandable if she did not want to come back here.

Ye Han sighed to herself. The father and the son did have the same temper, “Do you want to see your granddaughter or not?”

Hearing this, Gu Heng was speechless. No matter how much he did not like Qin Muxuan, he still wanted to see Xiaoxin.

Ye Han knew what Gu Heng was thinking about and continued to persuade him, “If you still want to see your granddaughter, you should talk to Zijin and Muxuan nicely.”

Gu Heng’s expression loosened a little, but his words were still very cold, “Humph, Xiaoxin is my granddaughter. Should I seek that woman’s permission when I want to see her?”

Ye Han knew that Gu Heng was pretending to be cool and didn’t expose him. “Zijin said that he’d bring Xiaoxin over this afternoon together with Muxuan .”

Gu Heng was a little surprised, but he just snorted coldly.

Ye Han didn’t want to waste more time to argue with her husband, so she quickly went and told Nanny Chen to get prepared. She planned to make some desserts so that the two children could have something to eat.

Nanny Chen was very happy to know that Qin Muxuan was coming back. She had read news about Qin Xuan online but she was not sure.

It was not until Ye Han confirmed that Qin Xuan was Qin Muxuan that she dared to confirm it. She also knew about this other child named Xiaoxin.

When Gu Zijin stopped the car at the door, Ye Han and Nanny Chen were already waiting at the door.

Xiaobai looked at Qin Muxuan with concern. Qin Muxuan smiled at him. Holding Xiaobai’s hand, Qin Muxuan got out of the car while Xiaoxin also subconsciously held on Qin Muxuan’s arm due to nervousness.

By then, Ye Han and Nanny Chen had come up to greet them. Though Ye Han put a smile on her face, there was still a trace of gingerliness in her eyes, while Nanny Chen didn’t think too much and had a sincere smile all over her face.

Ye Han looked lovingly at Xiaoxin who was hiding behind Qin Muxuan, “Muxuan, that’s Xiaoxin, right? She looks so pretty.”

Qin Muxuan didn’t know how to address Ye Han now, so she only nodded and pulled Xiaoxin out a little. “Xiaoxin, this is Granny. Be polite and call her grandmother.”

Even though Xiaoxin was a little nervous, she still cried mildly, “Hello, grandma.”

Immediately Ye Han beamed with smiles and asked to come inside, while Xiaoxin was still clinging tightly to Qin Muxuan.

Xiaobai touched Xiaoxin’s head and comforted her, “It’s okay, Grandmother is a very nice person.”

Xiaoxin nodded and got relaxed a little bit.

When they got in, they saw Gu Heng sitting on the sofa with a newspaper in his hands. He didn’t even look sideways at all those people who just came in.

Ye Han was in no mind to talk to Gu Heng. She only raised her voice and said, “Muxuan, you and Zijin go sit over there. I will take Xiaoxin and Xiaobai to the kitchen. I made some desserts and they would love them.”

When she heard the word “desserts”, Xiaoxin’s eyes brightened and she pulled Qin Muxuan’s sleeve.

Of course, Qin Muxuan knew how much her daughter loved desserts, so she smiled at her. “Go ahead, eat the desserts with Grandma.”

With Qin Muxuan’s permission, Xiaoxin quickly and jubilantly dragged Xiaobai into the kitchen together with Ye Han.

Qin Muxuan helplessly looked at Xiaoxin’s back and shook her head, but when she saw Gu Heng on the sofa, her smile disappeared completely.

Gu Heng seemed to have only discovered the existence of the two at this moment. He raised his head from the newspaper and snorted at Gu Zijin, “I thought you forgot about this place.”

Gu Zijin patted Qin Muxuan’s back consolingly, “Go try the desserts my mother made. I’ll go upstairs.”

Qin Muxuan nodded and turned to the kitchen. She didn’t want to stay with Gu Heng. After all he was the person who threw a cheque at her face two days ago!

Then Gu Zijin followed Gu Heng to the study.
