Oops My Toyboy Is A Hidden Tycoon

My Toyboy 345

Ethan spoke with a wronged look, “She was the one who chased me first.”

Cynthia suddenly remembered the first time she brought Jonathan to the Yates family. Jonathan had prepared gifts for everyone. Yasmine’s gift was an autographed photo of Ethan. Yasmine was a huge fan of Ethan. Later, Jonathan even gave Yasmine Ethan’s phone number.

Cynthia thought, ‘Can it be that they get in touch that way? Yasmine is an outgoing, lively, and very social girl. She likes handsome guys and is fearless by nature. It’s not surprising that she would be the one to chase Ethan‘

Cynthia asked, “What do you need my help with?”

Ethan spoke up, “Yasmine hasn’t been talking to me lately. She won’t answer my calls or meet me, and she even bloc i me on WhatsApp.”

Cynthia asked, “Did you two have a fight?”

Ethan replied, “No, we were fine just a few days ago, and then suddenly, she just stopped talking to me one day.”

Ethan continued, “I’ve been stuck on set lately and can’t get away. She’s n I know you two are close.

answering my calls, and I can’t find her. Cynthia,

“She always talks about you, saying you’re like a sister to her. So Cynthia, please help me figure out what I’ve done wrong?”

Ethan looked incredibly pitiful, his eyes wide like a puppy that’s been abandoned, with even a hint of tears glistening in them.

Cynthia couldn’t take it anymore. She said, “No,

degy. I’ll help you out.”

Ethan immediately wiped away his tears and thanked Cynthia, “Thank you, Cynthia. Thank you so much.”

Cynthia was still astonished. She planned to tell Jonathan about it, but looking around, she couldn’t spot Jonathan anywhere. Instead, she saw a familiar figure not far away. It was Preston.

Preston wore a white suit today. What surprised Cynthia the most was that his signature blonde hair had been dyed black, which completely changed his aura.

He went from being a sunny, cheerful guy from a comic book to looking like a mature, elegant prince.

Preston was also looking at Cynthia. Beside Preston was a tall champagne tower. His handsome face was a sight to behold. Cynthia met his eyes, but Preston quickly looked away.

Cynthia walked in his direction, but Preston started to turn around. His intent to avoid Cynthia was obvious, so he accidentally bumped into the champagne tower. The crystal glasses crashed down, with champagne spilling onto the thick carpet, vanishing instantly.

Cynthia stopped walking, watching as Preston’s figure faded from her view. Preston didn’t want to see her. Cynthia sighed inwardly. Memories of the radiant boy who shone like the midday sun surfaced in her mind.

Unfortunately, now that Preston had seen the harsh truths of the world, that version of Preston had likely vanished.

Soon, the annual party began, with Hana and Roger as the usual hosts. Cynthia stood among the crowd below the stage. Jonathan appeared at her side without her noticing.

After the opening remarks, Roger enthusiastically said, “Now let’s welcome Mr. Clifford Bennett, the chairwoman of the Bennett Group, to the stage for his speech.”

Clifford usually didn’t attend the annual gala. This confirmed the rumors that he would announce the successor this year. Clifford walked steadily to the center of the stage. This content provided by N(o)velDrama].[Org.

He was casually dressed in a suit he often wore. Despite being over seventy, he was energetic and stood straight with a clear, stern gaze that effortlessly commanded respect.

Who would have thought that this grey–haired gentleman was the founder of the entire Bennett Group empire? The crowd was hushed. Clifford picked up the microphone and said, “Today, I’m here to announce three things.

“First, there’s a change in company shares. Cynthia and Nina each hold five percent of the company’s shares, making them shareholders.

“Secondly, as many of you already know, Cynthia is the daughter–in–law of the Bennett family. From now on, no one is allowed to bully her!

“Thirdly, I’m getting old, and it’s time to retire. A shareholders‘ meeting will be held tomorrow morning regarding who the company’s successor will be. The eight major shareholders will vote openly, and the result will be announced to the media immediately.”

After Clifford finished speaking, he handed the microphone to Roger and left without saying another word.

Roger said, “Thank you to Mr. Clifford Bennett for his speech. I announce that the Bennett Group’s thrilling annual gala officially begins.”

Roger enthusiastically announced the upcoming events. The crowd below buzzed with excitement. Everyone was eagerly discussing what Clifford had just revealed.

Someone said, “So, it turns out that Nina received five percent of Bennett Group’s shares. It wouldn’t be surprising if she married Mr. Bennett and used that five percent as part of the dowry.

“Now that she’s seen as incapacitated yet still has shares, what does that tell us?”

Another person said, “Mr. Clifford Bennett seems to like this surprising new daughter–in–law. He openly stated that nobody should bully her. Is he supporting her?”

One person said, “Isn’t it clear why Mr. Clifford Bennett said that? He’s likely worried that Whitney might make things tough for Jonathan and his wife once she’s in power, so Mr. Clifford Bennett is giving shares and warnings.”

Someone said, “Yes, everyone knows Ms. Bennett has been in the company for decades, and the shareholders support her. Mr. Clifford Bennett said that shareholders will choose the successor, which is his way of giving the position to Ms. Bennett.”

Another person said, “Mr. Jonathan Bennett isn’t able to take the throne, so he’ll probably remain a laid–back prince.”

The crowd was buzzing with chatter. Cynthia felt a bit heavy–hearted. It seemed, as people said, that Clifford had already picked his successor. The shareholder meeting was just for show

Jonathan also said that the board is filled with Whitney’s allies. Cynthia thought, ‘Doesn’t that mean Jonathan has no chance?”

On stage, Roger announced, “Now, please welcome Mr. Jonathan Bennett and his wife, Cynthia, to open the dance floor and start our grand party.”

Cynthia was still lost in thought when she heard someone call her name. As she returned to her senses, she saw Jonathan standing before her, invitingly gesturing.

The crowd around them naturally stepped aside, creating a large dance floor with them at the center. Lights cascaded down over them like a waterfall of fringes.

Cynthia looked around and suddenly came back to reality. With a slight smile, she put aside her worries, placed one hand on Jonathan’s, and confidently entered the dance floor.
