Painful seduction

He stood where his car was parked fumbling as he tried to open the door with the right key.

He stood there unbelievably shocked by the actions he had just portrayed and fear gripped his heart.

He never could had imagined he would ever have been so disrespectful to Cathy, even though she had her own dose of craziness , she actually never deserved any of the humiliation she just received.

He sent punches at his car door, venting all his anger on the window.

He was mad at himself for doing that although at the same time he felt glad he opened up that part of him .

I need to speak with my father, he thought as he entered and drove off.

He got to his father’s house in less than 10 minutes, the house was just in the next avenue although he had so many houses scattered across the city. He usually stayed here when he wanted to rest .

Just like he presumed his dad was in his study settling down with a glass of champagne.

“You didn’t tell me you were coming, how is Cathy ?” He asked as he carefully studied what was on his laptop.

” We need to talk dad, Axl responded as he reached out to the mini bar to get a drink for himself

” I asked a question Axl and I need an answer, he said without removing his eyes from his system.

Dad was always like that, always putting Cathy first before any body, sometimes he felt Cathy was his biological daughter .

” She’s okay I guess” he answered with a puzzled look.

” You guess?” This Time he removed his eyes from the system letting it roam around the room.

” We had a big fight this morning”.

” And you thought the only way to solve it was to rush to me this morning?” He asked staring at him.

He folded his palms into a fist as he fought hard for self control. His dad always love getting on his nerves.

He had always supported Cathy and was willing to do anything for her , maybe because of the power and wealth she had.

” Dad I want to divorce her” he dropped the bomb.

Mr Anderson removed his glasses and looked at him surprised.

“Are you okay?” He asked.

” Yes, dad, I really want her out of my life and this time for good”Axl cried out .

Mr. Anderson roared at him in laughter as he heard his son’s explanation.

His son had probably had too much to drink , he thought.

“Axl my son, go to the kitchen drink some coffee and then have some rest, you really need it” he said going back to the system to work .

” Dad, you really think am insane?” Am serious about this ” he yelled.

His father laughed mockingly as he stared at him, he couldn’t believe his own son was exhibiting foolishness.

” So your in love with someone else?” He Anderson asked.

He nodded, sending another round of laughter.

This time Mr. Anderson laughed hard holding him on his shoulders leaving Axl confused.

” You can’t be serious Axl, you think any girl would spend the rest of their life with you? don’t you know they are chasing you because they presumed your the owner of Chester Enterprise?” He asked as he drank more champagne.

“Dad, it’s not like that, you really don’t understand” he cried.

” Go back home to your wife , Cathy and don’t think of leaving her, I didn’t save her life and make her get married to you just so you could divorce her without her transferring the wealth to you” Mr Anderson retorted.

Mr. Anderson walked away from his study still holding the glass of champagne on his right hand with Axl following closely.

” I worked very hard to make sure all my plans came to accomplishment and all you want to do is ruin it by divorcing her?” He asked as he looked at him with rage.

Axl digested it as he bowed his head in shame.

” Tell me Axl what do you think Cathy will do when she hears about your divorce plans? He asked.

He looked away .

” Let me tell you, she would gladly leave you, you know why? He interrogated and quickly answered.

“That’s because you have nothing Axl, you are nothing without her”.

” I won’t be in this house if she was not here ” he concluded.

Axl looked around the room , the mansion was all thanks to Cathy.

The mansion wasn’t like the other mansions in the neighborhood . It was prestigious and stood out in recognition. Stone statues guarded the entrance, on the left was the statue of a lion while on the right was the statue of a woman feeding a baby.

The statues supplied water to the little pool below them.

Adding to the beauty of the environment where the freshly trimmed lawn, flowering bushes and sunlight reflecting off the surface of a pool on a typical miserable summer day.

The different kinds of vehicles stood like a guard and showed off property. He had a total of 5 vehicles which consist of a magenta japanese car which was his latest collection Plus a skyblue small sports low car with a high-powered engine , the other 3 cars were all black range rovers which he hardly drove.

The environment was lovely in every way but exhibited loneliness.

It opened to a well-kept gravel path which led to automatic metallic double doors in numerous rooms, was stored expensive colour matching furniture.

The kitchen was equipped with all sorts of unused cooking utensils and the wooden drawers were filled with all the latest gadgets. In the bathroom, every surface was filled with half-used products ranging from shampoos to creams to toothpaste.

It had a total of 4 rooms, a master bedroom and three rooms for visitors.

He looked around and then realized that he had not seen the maids since he came.

“Dad, where are all the maids and workers?” He asked .

” I sent them all away, Cathy is supposed to get me new ones” he answered as he smiled with a dirty smirk.

” How do you do this Dad? Cathy doesn’t let me do anything in peace, the bitch is always on my neck” he cried.

Mr Anderson suppressed a chuckle as he watch his son lament over a woman he controlled with his finger tips.

” Sometimes I wonder which blood you are, you don’t know how to control a woman Axl, you lack that quality ” he mocked hard .

” Dad you call loving a woman lack of control?” He asked really confused.

” Yes, women don’t need love, they need luxury and money” he started off fiercely, ” give her all the comfort of the world and see if she won’t treat you like a king ” .

” That’s different with Cathy, remember she’s the one with the wealth ” .

” Sometimes you talk like a child, no wonder Cathy treats you like one ” he sneered.

Axl kept his cool.

He knew it was true, he gave Cathy too much love and space and that was why she always treated him like trash or maybe because she had all the wealth.

” I gave Cathy the life and the wealth she has now, if I had not saved her life, she won’t be alive Axl” he chuckled lightly.

” Dad but why did you save her life” He asked.

Mr. Anderson gave no response instead he gave him a hard stare that made Axl looked away.

” Drop the champagne glass” Mr. Anderson commanded.

Axl obeyed immediately without questions.

” Your drunk Axl” .

” Dad, am tired and fed up” he exclaimed as he sat on the couch in exhaustion.

” You will get your peace only when you take over the Chester’s Enterprise” Mr. Anderson said faintly.

” Tell me what happened between you and Cathy’s Father?” he snapped eventually.

He shook his head vehemently as he studied the glass in his hands as if looking for clues to answer the question.

” Cathy’ s mother was my lover, the woman of my dreams but that dream lasted only in my imagination, Mr chester used money to lure her and she fell in love with him, No… she fell in love with his money” he explained sadly.

” That’s the reason your against love?” Axl asked , his father was engulfed in his thoughts so he used the opportunity to get a drink for himself.

” Am not against love, am against you wanting to impress a woman with love” he answered with a bright smile.

” I learnt something from her” he announced as he stood up going back to the study.

” What was that?” He asked as he followed his father closely.

” Never try to lure a woman with love and then a woman is never submissive to a poor man” he responded.

They reached the drawers as he opened his drawers to find something, he searched for a while with Axl just watching.

Luck favoured him early and he found what he was looking for, it was a blue envelope which looked like it had never been opened.
