-Dad, what happened?

Gabriel looked at her and sighed slightly.

-Leopoldo came and took Mariana away.

-What was Mariana doing here?

Emily didn't know what was going on. She did know the reason Leopoldo came, but she didn't

understand why Mariana was here as well.

Gabriel looked at the woman and didn't answer.

-Dad, does she know?

Emily was aware that Gabriel had done something in Mariana's store for her own good. Because of this

affair, Mariana must be too busy as well.

However, she did not expect her to discover Gabriel so quickly.

-This woman is far from simple," Gabriel looked at his daughter and warned her. Even he had been on

the verge of making a mistake and getting himself into a situation from which he would never recover.

If he had known that Leopoldo was coming, Gabriel would not have done something like this today.

-Dad, what can he do even if he knows? He doesn't have Leopoldo's backing now, unless? -Emily said,

realizing something was wrong.

Without waiting for Gabriel's response, Emily received a message from her driver.

-Ms. Velazquez, Mr. Duran took you to the car and we are now on our way home.

The driver's message made Emily's head spin.
