Layla was seated on the hospital bed as she watched Nolan walk in, with a baby in his arms. Noelle was standing beside her mother.

Layla’s eyes widened as she took in the sight of her son, who was only a month old. He was a chubby, happy baby, with a thatch of dark red hair and bright blue eyes, all the kids took after their father.

“Oh, my baby” she exclaimed, reaching out her arms to him.

Nolan placed a sleeping Noah in Layla’s arms and he snuggled as his mother carried him.

“How are you doing, my love?” Nolan asked, tucking a strand of her hair that was lying on her forehead, behind her ear.

She woke up a week ago and was going to be discharged that day.

Nolan was the happiest person when Keisha called him, telling him that Layla had woken up from her coma. He couldn’t be more grateful for he had missed her so very much.

Layla looked up at Nolan, her eyes shining with love. “I’m doing better than I ever thought possible,” she said, gazing down at Noah, who was sleeping peacefully.

“I feel like I’ve been given a second chance. And I’m not going to waste it.”

She looked up at Noelle. “And I’m so grateful to have my little girl by my side,” she said, reaching out to stroke Noelle’s cheek. “You’ve been so brave and strong, Noelle. I couldn’t be more proud of you.”

Noelle’s eyes welled up with tears.

“I miss you, mommy. Please don’t leave me again and I promise to always listen to you..” Noelle smiled widely as they all laughed.

Layla pulled Noelle into a tight hug. “I’m not going anywhere, sweetie,” she said. “I promise I’ll be here for you, always. And I know you’ll always do your best. You’re such a good girl, and I’m so lucky to have you as my daughter.”

Noelle snuggled into her mother’s embrace, relishing the feeling of being held so tightly. She had missed this more than she could have ever imagined.

“I love you so much, Mommy,” she said, her voice muffled by Layla’s shirt.

“Me too my dear..” Noelle pulled away as she went to hold her father’s hand.

“When are we going home?” She questioned happily.

“Now..” Nolan replied Carrying Noah from Layla’s arms carefully.

Layla smiled as she watched Nolan carry Noah out of the room. “It’s time to go home,” she said to Noelle, who held her hand as she climbed down from the bed. She felt stronger than ever.

Layla felt extremely grateful that she’d love to watch her children grow.

Carla was gone now, and there was no more threat.

Her family would be happy again.

Noelle walked hand in hand with Layla as they followed Nolan to the parking lot.

“Is Noelle asleep?” Layla asked, standing by the door as Nolan stepped out from Noelle’s room.

“Yes, and Noah? ” He questioned.

” His nanny will put him to sleep, I just fed him.. ” she replied as they both headed to their own room.

Layla sat down on the bed and took a deep breath. It had been a long, difficult journey, but they were successfully scaled through. And she felt stronger and more determined than ever to make the most of this second chance. She looked over at Nolan, who was looking at her with such love and concern.

“Thank you for being there for me,” she uttered, reaching out to take his hand.

“I couldn’t have gotten through this without you.”

Nolan smiled and squeezed her hand.

“I’ll always be here for you, Layla,” he said.

“You’re the love of my life, my mate, my Luna, and the only woman I think of. You’re the best thing that has ever happened to me and you also gave me two adorable kids. What more can I ask for?” He voiced out as he knelt in front of her, holding her both knees.

Layla’s eyes filled with tears as she looked down at Nolan. His words were so heartfelt, and she felt overwhelmed with emotion. She placed her hand on his cheek and smiled through her tears.

“You are my soulmate, Nolan,” she uttered softly.

“And I am so grateful for everything we have. Our life is a dream come true.”

They stayed there for a moment, just holding each other and feeling the love that bound them together. Then Nolan stood up and pulled Layla to her feet.

“Now, how about we get some rest?” he suggested.

” Yeah, but there’s something I needed to ask of you..” She began softly.

” What is it? ” Nolan enquired.

” It’s about my family. I mean my parents and sister. I think I should go see them.. ” she voiced out her thoughts.

After Nolan tried persuading her that day, she concluded that it was best she visited them. They were families after all.

” Right. I’ll accompany you to Seattle whenever you want to..” he said, supporting her decision.

” And Scarlet..” Layla began taking in a very deep breath.

“I think you should let her out of where you locked her up..” Layla pleaded. After Scarlet had allegedly tried to assault her, Nolan locked her up and she was sentenced to jail.

She had been locked up since then, and Layla felt it was best she was let out. Scarlet had a life to live also.

“I’ll see to that. Xander will work on that

She’ll be released. ” Nolan informed Layla. It’s been years since she was locked up, her punishment was probably enough already.

“Thanks, Nolan..” Layla appreciated it as she leaned over to plant a kiss on his lips.

“You’re welcome, my love. Now you should go to bed… ” Nolan urged.

Layla nodded, feeling exhausted from the long day.

She slowly got into the bed, Nolan after her.

“Good night my love..” he whispered to her ears holding her tight.

“Good night..” Layla said softly, closing her eyes to sleep, hoping for a better tomorrow for her and her family.

IN SEATTLE

“My dear..” Rosalie ran to hug Scarlet who was just brought out of prison but Scarlet abruptly pushed her away.

“Don’t you dear touch me!!” Scarlet said to her mother in a cold voice. She looked tattered and unkempt.

“you left me in dear to suffer right? ” She smacked her lips in annoyance.

” I’m so sorry. I tried everything I could to let you out of there. But the influence of Layla’s husband was too strong. He made sure no one left you out… ” Rosalie explained but Scarlet’s anger grew even more.

” Layla, Layla, Layla.. ” she drew out softly as her jaw worked.

” We should leave and get you… .”

“LAYLA!!!!!!” Scarlet yelled loudly, her eyes blazing with anger as she punched the wall angrily and blood spewed out from her knuckles.
