Layla’s feet remained rooted to the ground as blood droplets fell on her face. She stood in shock as she slowly opened her eyes only to see Archie’s dead body with blood gushing out from his neck. Nolan beheaded him right there with his bare hands.

It all happened so fast, Archie was saying harsh things about her and the next thing she saw was blood. She felt like throwing out her lungs at the gruesome sight before her.

Her eyes slowly traveled to Nolan who was standing in front of Archie’s body with bloodied hands, blood all over his face.

He had this kind of calm expression on his face as he brought out a handkerchief from his pocket, which he slowly used to wipe the blood off his face and hands.

This was not the first time she was seeing him kill someone this way. He just grew out fangs and killed them like chickens.

The first person was Hayes and now it was Archie.

“Take care of this scum’s body and get it out of my palace…” he ordered walking out of the cell after discarding his handkerchief on the ground.

“Why did you kill him?” Layla asked the moment Nolan stepped out of the cell.

“What?” Nolan raised a brow at her as he stopped walking.

“Why did you kill him?” Layla asked again.

“Because he deserved it..” came Nolan’s nonchalant reply.

“You just killed someone and you look so unfazed by it!!” Layla drew out in disbelief.

“And so what? He was as good as dead. Tell me Layla, why are you getting so worked up about this?” He asked as their eyes met.

“Because violence is not the answer to all this. You should tackle issues more carefully..” she stated in a curt tone.

“You don’t just kill people..” she yelled.

“I do what I want Layla…”

“Yes I get it, you’re the Alpha. You can do whatever you want, such as taking people’s lives..” she said. It was really unnecessary for Nolan to do what he did. There was no need for all of that.

“Wait, whose side are you on? My side or the person who attempted to kill you and your child’s life?” He asked, stepping close to her.

“No one. I’m not on anybody’s side. I’m only saying what I think it’s right. You shouldn’t have killed him..” she said, still standing her ground.

“You seemed to have forgotten what he said about you?” He drew out. The reason he got angry was because Archie says those things about Layla and he lost it.

“And so? That doesn’t change anything. You still shouldn’t have killed him..” she said at the top of her voice.

“Are you this stupidly naive or just trying to be?” Nolan asked as he scoffed.

“I’m only saying what’s right!” She defended herself.

“I don’t think so, Layla. You’re wrong this time or you’re just stupid and naive!” He fired at her with a passive look on his face.

“Go f*ck yourself..” he added softly and he suddenly walked out on her.

Layla just stood in denial, Nolan was angry at her. She could see the anger In his eyes. He had the same look on his face like he used to whenever he was pissed in the past.

“I think you should go to your room. It’s getting cold..” Darren says from behind, he had been there the whole time.

“I will..”Layla muttered as she shook her head.

Carla stood at the hallways patiently, it seemed as if she was waiting for someone. She just heard some very wonderful news and she wanted to confirm it.

“Hey Darren..” sfw waved at Darren as she ran to him the moment she sighted him.

“Well I wanted to ask something?* She began as she calmed herself down taking in deep breaths.

“You have two minutes…” he stated and Carla inwardly rolled her eyes at him. He always wanted to be away from everyone.

“I heard Archie is dead, is that true?” She asked quickly as she tried to hide her happiness.

“Who’s Archie?” Darren asked as he stared intently at Carla.

“Archie. The one who paid Sarah to kill Layla. He’s dead right?” She added again her face beaming with smiles which she tried so hard to hide.

“How did you know about it??” Darren asked with a suspicious look on his face. The last time he checked, he never disclosed the name of the culprit to anyone except for Layla and Nolan and Nolan killed him immediately after. No one really knew about it, nor even Keisha as he had not had the chance to speak with her.

“What do you mean?” Carla laughed sheepishly. “I know Archie is the culprit..” she stated. She knew because she asked him to confess to that.

“I never told anyone, si how did you know?” Darren grilled and Carla felt her heart seized. She just messed up. She heard a rumor that someone was killed in the dungeon and when she asked about it, she discovered it was Archie though the reason for his death was never mentioned.

She only knew that because she put him in that situation.

“I heard it from a guard..” she quickly chimed it.

“I actually over guard two guards talking about it” she added again.

“I see..”

“Yeah. So is he really dead?” Carla inquired.

“Yes..” Darren confirmed.

“Oh my gosh, I can’t believe this..” Carla’s face immediately broke into a wide smile. That was the best news sgex ever heard. Her plan worked.

“You look happy..” Darren says with squinted eyes.

“Why wouldn’t I be happy? Layla is no longer in danger, I’m happy for her..” she said smiling brightly.

“Thank you sir much for your clarification..” She appreciated it and she turned to leave.

Her lips immediately curved up the moment she backed Darren. Her plan worked.

She asked Archie to provoke Nolan so that when he escaped, everyone would think he was a real enemy. That was her plan.

To kill Archie. She knew how Nolan killed Hayes when he spoke against Layla, so she asked Archie to do the same and it actually paid if. She was beyond happy.

Now she had dealt with her first problem, it was time to move on to the next, though there would be no one to support her this time. So she needed to lie very low till the right time, till she struck.

Carla smiled happily, she was only one step away from making Nolan hers.
