Chapter 295 The Man in Charge Ran away

Chapter 295 The Man in Charge Ran away

Nobody knew when Hayden showed up, but all their faces turned pale after her speech. The air was pretty tense, but someone suddenly sprinted back to her working desk, “Lena, I will give you the annual plan of the second half of the year before the end of the day. I can also deliver next year’s annual plan by the end of this week.”

Thinking about Dante’s luxurious villa, people all dispersed and went back to their work.

Standing next to Dante, Anna was astounded.

‘This must be the power of money!’

If your employee isn’t hard working enough, it can only mean that you haven’t offered them enough money yet.

After all people went away, Hayden was standing beside Dante in less than two meters of distance. Their eyes just inevitably collided midair.

“Do you have a minute? I got some new flower tea in my office. Do you want to have a taste of the it?” looking at Dante, Hayden had returned to calmness from last night’s exasperation.

Dante let out a rare smile and said, “Okay.”

Hayden’s room was filled with the fragrance of jasmine tea.

Pushing the ceramic cup to Dante, Hayden drooped her head and said seriously, “I’m sorry for what happened last night.”

Dante paused and said lowly, “You don’t have to do this. You are right. I am the one who wanted to send the order to the warehouse. If I didn’t insist, we can at least reduce half of our losses.”

“Someone is trying to mess with us on purpose.”

Hayden’s words were alluding something.

Dante frowned and immediately understood what she was talking about. “The fire brigade said this morning the cause of fire was the aging of warehouse appliances which were accidentally set on fire by some workers who were drinking last night.”

“We don’t have the time to investigate if it’s really an accident for now, but it doesn’t mean we would swallow this provocation. Now, we have to contact as many secondary factories as possible so we can remake the whole batch in half of a month.”

The original deadline for this batch of products in the secondary factory was one month, but the factory’s manager worked 24/7 with its workers and were able to deliver those products one week earlier. After counting all the products that were missing, Hayden estimated that they at least needed half a month to remake them.

“But the deadline in the contract is next week.” Dante replied in concern.

“I’ll talk deferred compensation with Mr. Wright.”

But Dante just pondered for a moment and said seriously, “Don’t do that. I’ll figure something out to deliver this batch of products on time.”

Hayden frowned and said, “Dante, the chances of that are slim. Even all the secondary factories start making our products, we can hardly have the whole batch within a week.”

“But it’s still possible.”

Dante stood up and said, “I’ll handle this. I have to be responsible for this batch of products.”

Then he just left.

Hayden noticed that Dante didn’t even drink the jasmine tea in front of him. She can tell that he was really worried about this issue.

But it was both dangerous and useless to rush on this kind of things. He had been away from the business world for years, so what can he think of?

The day before the deadline, Hayden went to the Joann Group with Anna to negotiate with Mr. Wright on this deal.

But they were blocked by a blue Porsche just when they were about to enter the Joann Group.

The Porsche suddenly stopped between Hayden and the Joann Group door like a bolt of blue lightening. It was lucky that Anna held Hayden on time, otherwise, Hayden might be hit.

“President Downey, are you okay?” Anna held Hayden’s hands in fear.

“I’m okay.”

Looking up, Hayden saw that familiar car and immediately knew who was coming.

Enemies are just bound to meet each other.

Dressed in a black suit, Franklin stepped out of the car and looked as sinister as ever.

“It’s been a long time, President Downey.”

Pressing Anna’s hands so that she won’t argue with him, Hayden looked at Franklin with a faint smile. “President Hawkins, your nose is even keener that a dog’s. I just arrived and you then showed up. How coincidental is that!”

Hearing her words, Franklin’s face changed a little and sneered, “Instead of taunting me here, you’d better think about how would you negotiate with Mr. Wright on the deferred products.”

“Well, I wouldn’t trouble President Hawkins with that.”

Hayden then released Anna’s hand and went into the West Group straight away.

Standing at the door, Franklin said to Hayden’s back, “If I were you, I would be submissive at times like this. With my long-term relationship with Mr. Wright, you can delay all you want.” This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - ©.

But Hayden didn’t even turn around as if she didn’t hear anything. She went into the elevator with Anna directly.

After the elevator closed, Anna asked, “President Downey, though we don’t want to have any connection with people like Franklin, should we be polite to him this time? What if he chooses to stab us in the back?”

“Well, he would scheme us even if we are polite to him. Do you think this fire is just an accident?”

Green Lemon Clothing was a startup company and didn’t have its warehouse yet. What’s more, since it’s her mother’s company, Hayden didn’t want to get it involved with Downey Group. So the warehouse that Dante chose to store the products in was a rented warehouse in the west side of Nanking.

After the fire broke out, the man in charge of the warehouse had to pay a hefty of compensation, because apart from Hayden’s products, there were also other companies’ products. The man in charge had no choice but to run away.

Anna was following Dante together to contact secondary factories recently, so she didn’t know what Hayden was doing. After listening to Hayden’s thought, she was astounded.

“Ran away? Who would be responsible for this accident then?”

“Well, the man in charge had run away, so the owner of the warehouse just blamed everything on him. Franklin’s this move is really deliberate.”

Anna paused a bit and then frowned.

Of course she figured out what Hayden was referring to. So Franklin must be here on purpose.

No wonder that they two seemed to be confronting each other at the door before.

Hayden got to Mr. Wright’s office after his secretary notified him.

“Mr. Right.”

After walking into the office, Hayden sat across from Mr. wright who was just dealing with a stack of files.

“Today is the deadline, right? President Downey, there is no need of coming here yourself.”

The office door was suddenly opened before Hayden started talking. Then the secretary interrupted, “Mr. Beckham, Mr. Wright is talking with President Downey. You can’t barge in...”
