Chapter 301 A Puppet Boy
Chapter 301 A Puppet Boy
Léon got stuck on Hayden’s question for a moment. With his teeth chattering, he blinked his eyes and said, “You’re right.”
Hayden reckoned he didn’t think it through before he came here.
Then she felt vexed again, “That’s it. Forget about the dinner. You are freezing out here. Where do you live? I will drive you home.”
Léon did not dare to argue, so he got on Hayden’s car.
They were not far from where he lived. Hayden dropped him outside the hotel, “Keep that coat. Otherwise, you may catch a cold.”
He was the brand spokesperson of the Downey Group after all. If he caught a cold right after the commercial shooting, his fans would be furious and shoot them with relentless curse.
But Léon was delighted, “I will have your coat cleaned and then give it back to you.”
“If you come to Nanking again.”
Hayden smiled and waved her hand. She breathed a sigh of relief when she closed the car door.
“Sir, go home.”
People were crazy about all these stars, but it was no so easy to deal with them.
Hayden saw a man in black standing in front of the building when the car arrived in the Imperial Villa Area.
She was so pleased that she ran to Joseph and hugged him when the driver pulled over the car.
She looked up at him, “Why do you know I’m coming?”
Seeing that she did not wear a coat, Joseph frowned and unbuttoned his coat to bundle her up, “I’ve asked Anna.”
“Gee, you’ve asked her about my schedule? What did she say?”
“She said you should’ve come home half an hour ago.” Joseph was a little upset, “I’ve waited for you for over forty minutes. It turns out that she’s not that reliable.”
Hayden laughed out, “Anna is not always along with me. She invites others to the dinner for me. Do not count on her afterwards. You should ask me directly.”
Seeing that she kept snuffling, Joseph took her to his arm and walked into the building, “You’re busy with your work.”
Hayden did not agree, “You were much busier than I am. I still come home every day, but you were always on business for three to five months.”
Joseph punched the button on the elevator, but the elevator was too slow to come. He took off his coat and put it on her, asking, “Why don’t you put on your coat?”
“Forget it!” Hayden sighed, “It’s bothering me.”
“What happened?”
Hayden stared at him suddenly and asked, “Do you know about the puppet boys and wolf boys?”
Joseph was puzzled by the two phrases.
“They are two kinds of dream man who are popular these days. The wolf boys are more manly and reliable, while the puppet boys are sweeter and more attentive.”
Joseph was uninterested in these men and continued to ask her about the coat, “What this has to do with your coat?”
“My coat was taken by ‘a puppet’.”
Hayden squeezed herself into his coat and looked up at his face. His coat was oversize for her. And it was stiff on the shoulder, which made her looked ridiculous like being stuffed in a closet.
Wearing his coat, she expected him to be jealous. But after a while, he simply asked, “What kind of puppet would take your coat?”
She suddenly lost her enthusiasm and she was resigned, “Don’t you understand what I just said? The puppet refers to the puppet boy. It’s the new brand ambassador of the Downey Group, Léon. Do you know he’s called the puppet boy by the staff in company? I gave my coat to him.”
Joseph did not know how to respond.
The elevator happened to stopped in front of them. Hayden went into the elevator directly, looking like she did not want to talk to him.
Joseph entered the elevator as well, asked with a frown on his face, “A boy?” All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.
“Yep.” She observed his expression secretly, and teased him on purpose, “ I really like Léon.”
“What did you say?” His expression suddenly altered, with a lower voice.
“I said, I like Léon. You know, I’m not a fan of any popular star, but I’m a stan of Léon.”
From the mirror in the elevator, she found that Joseph grew angry. He repined, “You’ve never talked about what kind of star you like.”
“That’s because I won’t say it when I really like someone.”
She managed to keep a poker face and was going to go out of the elevator when it was about to stop.
The elevator arrived, and the door was parting. But her wrist was grabbed. She exclaimed surprisingly. Before she figured out what happened, she was stuck between him and the elevator wall. Her hand was pressed against the wall. He looked down at her and said angrily, “You came home late because you went to meet Léon, did you?”
“Why are you so excited?”
She struggled, but she failed to pull her wrist. She laughed out again, “Are you jealous?”
“You’re still laughing?” Joseph was incensed, “Answer me.”
Hayden leaned herself against the wall, looking like she gave up the struggle, “Yep, I went to meet him. He asked me out for dinner at Peking| Road. He felt cold, so I took off my coat and gave it to him.”
Hearing that, he was enraged, especially when he saw she was wearing his coat. He grabbed her wrist more firmly.
Hayden no longer laughed, “Let go! You’re hurting me.”
She felt a chill wind sweeping through her shoulder after she finished her words. Joseph took back his coat and refused to give it to her.
Hayden shivered in cold and grasped his arm.
“What are you doing? I’m freezing to death!”
“You could ask Léon to return you coat.”
Joseph knew it was impossible that Hayden have an affair. And it was understandable that she was a fan of some star. But he had been jealous of other men these days, so he gave vent to his anger and jealousy.
Hayden was amused at the unusual expression on his face. She wanted to know his bottom line, but she was freezing.
But that was enough. She blinked her eyes, “I like the Léon in my favorite movie. Not this model Léon. You take it the wrong way.”
His face took on a set expression. He realized he had been tricked when he saw Hayden snickering.
Then she was stuck between him and the wall again, “Don’t tickle me! I’m sorry, my bad!”
Hayden giggling with a trace of blush, tried to stop him.
Seeing that Hayden panted with a flush on her cheeks, Joseph stopped tickling.
