Pursuing My Ex Wife in Full Blooming Spring

Chapter 86

He could not help beginning to count the number of times she was chewing her food. Finally, after an excruciating 110th bite, she swallowed the piece of meat. Then, as though it got lodged in her throat on the way down, she took a sip of her tea.

Finally, she let out a sigh of relief, as though the small piece of meat finally landed right where it was supposed to her stomach. All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.

However, Naomi frowned when she looked down at her plate at the rest of the steak. It would take her the rest of the meal to finish chewing on this steak, but she did not condone wasting her food, so she speared it with her fork, prepared to start chewing again.

To her surprise, Scott’s fork appeared out of nowhere and snatched it from her plate. Naomi froze at this. The next moment, Scott put the steak onto his plate and instead gave her some of his salad.

Naomi glanced at the steak on his plate, clearly missing a piece. She then glanced at him. Scott’s expression was as calm and unrevealing as always.

If it were not for the fact that she knew he was still in love with Olivia, and if not for the fact that she knew him better than anyone, Naomi would misinterpret this as him having feelings for her.

However, she knew this was not the case. Scott did not love her back, so she refused to indulge in her imagination.

On a side note, Scott was acting a little unusual that night, and she could not help but feel baffled by

that.

Naomi turned back to her plate and munched on the salad. She always preferred vegetables over meat products, but Scott did not know this. He only realized this when he saw the salad disappearing from her plate within seconds.

As soon as he realized this, he began sharing the rest of his salad with her and even deduced, from the speed of her eating, which vegetables she enjoyed more than the others.

With that, the dinner soon ended on a joyous note.

“Very well then, Quentin. Tomorrow I’d like to visit your museum for a tour before we start planning for the upcoming event,” Chandler said to Quentin as he stood up.

Quentin nodded. “That’s fine by us, Master Chandler. We’ll be waiting for you tomorrow.”

“No, no, it’s fine. I don’t want to take you out of your work. I can look through the museum myself when I arrive.”

“Oh, no, Master Chandler, we can’t possibly let you come without welcoming you properly.”

“Quentin’s right, Master Chandler, we’d gladly give you a tour of the exhibits.”

“Very well then. You youngsters are certainly very welcoming.” Chandler chuckled.

With that, they cleared out of the room in preparation for departure. As they walked out of the room, Quentin turned to Chandler and said, “Master Chandler, I’ve already booked your hotel room. Do you want to go to the hotel room to rest, or would you like to explore Horizon City? I’ll show you around town.”

Chandler waved his hand in dismissal. “No, no. I’m getting old now, and I’m already exhausted from the flight.”

Quentin understood immediately. “Very well then, Master Chandler. I’ll send you back to the hotel to rest. Horizon City is a city of rich culture, so if you’d like to explore our local attractions, just let me know any time.”

“Thank you, Quentin.”

Naomi followed the crowd out of the restaurant. She intended to keep her distance from Scott, but for some reason, everyone seemed to deliberately make the way for her, until eventually she reached Scott and Chandler’s side.

Never mind. She only had a short way to go before they were out of the building anyway.

All of a sudden, a familiar voice rang out from behind her, “Naomi.”
