Chapter 27 KAIDEN STIRLING “That’s my daddy” Harper’s voice was filled with excitement as she spoke with Francisco who had done nothing but watch her speak to her heart’s content. She had been talking about the food, her dolls, and even her school but he said nothing to her. I wondered if the boy spoke or didn’t want to interact because we were strangers. He looked so innocent but I believe he was far from that. No matter who he belonged to, Freda was his mother and might’ve taught him a few tricks. Seeing that Francisco was easing to our little conversation, I decided to ask what had been on my mind since I saw him but before I could, Lyra’s sharp voice calling out to him cut across the room and the three of us looked up at her.
