An unfamiliar emotion flickered across his chest but quickly disappeared, making it difficult for him to grasp.
Mayra went to the bathroom to wash her face. She then set the alarm clock and lay down on the bed to sleep.
In the study, Anderson watched the surveillance footage from today. The whole incident lasted for two hours.

Mayra, being an orphan, was more sensitive than anyone else. What she feared most was being abandoned by Anderson
She was afraid he didn’t want her.
Anderson had no choice but to bring her by his side and take care of her. When facing outsiders, Mayra always kept her distance from anyone who showed dislike or aversion toward her.
