Chapter 899

“Morning, Mr. Martin!” Paul greeted cheerily.

It was the first weekday of the new week. He had to ensure Joe couldn’t find fault in anything he did.

“Has there been a bunch of gossip about me online? Find a way to get rid of them,” Joe gave his first

instruction.

Paul replied, “What’s left online is just a bit of speculation. Some of them aren’t from official media outlets, it’s just a few vloggers making up stories to attract some views. I’ll find a way to get rid of them.”

However, it wasn’t easy. The second they dealt with one of them, another one would continue making up

stories.

The best solution was for Joe and Skylar to announce their married status. Those rumors would be disproved easily. However, Paul didn’t have the guts to tell Joe that.

A few days later, Simona and Wendy were discharged. Skylar went to see them.

Wendy would be staying with Simona for the next few weeks. Aiken had found them a new school and was completing the paperwork to transfer schools.

Wendy would board in her new school.

As to the boys who bullied them, they were reportedly suffering through a huge load of emotional anguish as they waited for the judge’s sentencing.

There was hard evidence of the wrongdoing. They wouldn’t escape the sanction of the law.

On the other hand, Simona and Wendy would move on.

The psychologist would continue counseling them. She had a lot of faith in them. They were emotionally tough and didn’t habitually blame themselves. With some positive guidance, the impact of this situation would be greatly reduced. It wouldn’t affect their lives.

After leaving Parkinson Residence, Skylar went to see Janine.

Skylar’s online store had been run excellently by Janine. Her capabilities hadn’t been fully expressed for the past few years.

Before leaving home, Steven had called her. He was recently on an overseas business trip and asked Skylar how she’d been doing.

Then, she went to see Harvey. His grades had never needed worrying over. He was progressing to his dream university, and the college entrance exam was due in a few days. It was an important time for him. She didn’t talk to him for long.

As she was about to arrive at Galaxy Villa, she saw a car in the mirror. She remembered seeing this car tail her.

Her neighborhood was a luxurious one with alert guards.

The guards quickly stopped it.

Skylar drank some water after getting home. Then, she went to get surveillance footage from the guards.

She saw them speak to the driver after blocking it. The driver didn’t get out. He merely put his car in reverse and left.

Skylar asked the guards about it. They told her that he’d taken a wrong turn.

Had he taken a wrong turn? Skylar frowned. Was she overthinking this? NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.

An international call came in.

“Skye, did you miss me?”

When Skylar heard Natalie calling, she pushed her suspicion away and left the surveillance room. She replied, “A minute away from you feels like eons to me.

“Ha! When I go home, you’ve got to have fondue and barbecue with me! I’m craving for it. You have no idea how skinny I’ve gotten. My pants are falling around my knees.”

Skylar could hear Natalie licking her chops through the phone.

“Right, my colleagues and I have been staying in Mr. Powell’s estate. It’s awesome. What a pity we only have a few days off. Mr. Powell will be getting back to work today. He’s having his makeup done so I had some time to call you.”

Natalie sighed about how time was fleeting.

Skylar couldn’t help but giggle. She said, “It looks like you had a great time in his estate.”

“What do you mean a great time? It was like a fairytale come alive. It isn’t your run of the mill estate. It was like a castle,” exclaimed Natalie.
