Chapter 126
"It's late. You should sleep early. Don't burn the midnight oil every day, or you'll damage your eyes." His tone was soft and gentle, unlike his fierce demeanor in the company.
"Did something happen in the company?"
A trace of worry appeared in Bennett's eyes when she saw how tired Trevor looked.
It had been three years. After all, they were father and son, and blood was always thicker than water.
"It's nothing. I can handle it. Go to bed early."
Trevor lifted his hand and caressed Bennett's dark hair, the smile on his face growing wider.
"Is this little rascal worried about me? Looks like although the company lost a lot of money today, it's not so bad after all," he mused.
"I can help. I have a classmate who's good at information technology stuff. He can help you deal with the problems in your company," said Bennett, thinking about his brother, Asher.
Asher had always excelled in dealing with matters regarding computers.
Nowadays, it should be a piece of cake for him to deal with hackers.
"This is something for the adults to worry about. You're still young, so you should focus on your studies."
Trevor didn't take what Bennett said seriously. He didn't think that the classmate of a nine-year-old boy could handle a problem that the entire cyber security department in his company couldn't handle. "Okay then."
Pursing his lips, Bennett kept his books away and left the study, but he didn't give up on the idea of asking his brother to help his father.
He thought that as long as he kept Asher and Trevor's identity a secret from each other, both of them wouldn't suspect anything.
The next day, Bennett went to meet Asher in secrecy. The two of them met up at a cafe.
As usual, Asher brought his laptop along.
"Asher, you have to help me. I don't know who else to go to."
"Don't worry, Bennett. I'll help you. Is this the company of your friend's father?"
Asher was taken aback when he saw what happened within the company and the hacker's way of attacking. "Whoa! Who the hell is this? The audacity of this guy to copy my methods and hack someone else's company!" Asher's heart skipped a beat as he looked at the familiar process and similar coding.
If it weren't for the fact that the IP address Bennett gave him was different t the
hacked, he would've though
it was
he himself who did it.
Bennett didn't say anything. It was easy for him to get Trevor's subordinate to give him a fake IP address and the hacker's hacking approach.
He was Trevor's precious son, after all. No one dared to disobey his order.
"This is easy. Don't worry, Asher. Give me half an hour
and I'll get it done."
The approach was developed by Asher, and he knew best how to counter it.
Half an hour later, he finished writing a program and saved it in a flash drive before giving it to Bennett.
"Here you go. Just come to me if you need anything in the future. Do be careful to not let Mommy and Trevor notice, though," said Asher cautiously.
Bennett sighed. Knowing that the truth might be hard to accept, he still chose to tell Asher. "But actually, Trevor is our daddy. That's why I've been staying in the Gulliford residence for the past three

"What? The man that Mommy hates is our daddy?" Asher was shocked as his mother had never told him anything about this. "Yes." Bennett nodded.Copyright by Nôv/elDrama.Org.
Just as he was about to say something else, he saw Martin entering the cafe.
He immediately got up from his seat and approached Martin with the flash drive in his hand.
"Mr. Martin, I'm here."
He must not let Martin see Asher, or the latter's identity might be exposed.
"Mr. Bennett, are you done? We can't return late, or Mr. Gulliford will be worried."
