Chapter 139
"Trevor Gulliford, you've crossed the line!" Jessica fumed.
Standing up, she glared at Trevor.
He sat there, taking a few deep breaths. He still had not recovered from the pain yet.
"Gosh, what a ruthless woman she is!" he exclaimed inwardly.
Trevor asked angrily, "Do you want to make me impotent?"
He massaged his temples helplessly. He was on the brink of losing his cool.
"Only this woman can make me feel this way. I can't do anything about her no matter how
impudent she is in front of me," he mused, sighing.
"Mr. Gulliford, I'd like to resign from my job," she said.
Jessica could not stand it anymore. In her mind, Trevor was behaving like a pervert.
Upon hearing her request, Trevor raised his head to look at her. He had forgotten the pain in his nether regions.
"Why are you saying that all of a sudden?" he inquired.
"Resign? Why did she want to quit? No. I won't allow her to do so," he thought.
"Mr. Gulliford, your actions made me doubt your sanity. I don't want to work for you anymore. I want to quit." Jessica did not hold back with her words. "Only a lunatic would do something like that, right?" she wondered. Pursing his lips, Trevor remained silent.
"I'm insane? If anything, she's the crazy one. Is she depressed? If she hadn't accused me of being gay or said that I should love a fellow man, I wouldn't have pushed so far. I only wanted to prove to her that I'm straight!" he thought. Looking at her angry expression, Trevor became timid.
"I was wrong," he apologized weakly. Taking a deep breath, he continued, "Please don't be mad at me. I won't do that again."
The chairman of Gulliford Group, who held shares of hundreds of companies, was acting meekly like a sad puppy in front of Jessica.
The stewardesses serving on the plane were amazed by that scene when they saw it.NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.
"Is he truly Trevor Gulliford? That Mr. Gulliford?" they wondered.
"No! Mr. Gulliford, it's not just this matter. I can't do the things you've asked me to as your secretary," Jessica said resolutely.
Be it the matching pajamas or putting Trevor to sleep every night, she could not do it.
"Forget about those things. You
don't have to do it if you don't want to. I just need you to stay by my side You can do anything else you want," he suggested.
Trevor put on his signature smile, looking slightly abashed.
"Really?" Jessica turned to look at him.
"Yes. I was joking with you earlier," said Trevor.
Then, he picked up the secretary's document
on the table and tore the
paper in half with his slender fingers.
He directly threw it into the trash
can.
Jessica narrowed her eyes at him. "If I pressure Trevor too much, he might not let me go. I better stop messing around now," she thought.
"All right. Mr. Gulliford, you mustn't make things difficult for me in the future."
Sitting back next to Trevor, she picked up the other documents on the table and read them.
"Of course, I won't."
Trevor also sat next to her. He rubbed his head while she was not paying attention. "Gosh, Jessica. That was painful!" he complained silently. Silence echoed in the cabin.
The duo disembarked from the plane after a smooth landing.
After leaving the airport, they went to the reserved hotel.
The place was close to where Jessica had lived for three years after her accident. She did not go out much for fear that she might be recognized. Therefore, she did not go downstairs to the pool after returning to her room. Instead, she stayed indoors and read a book by herself.
She only went out to find Trevor half an hour before the signing of the contract. She was planningto head to the partner company together with him. However, as soon as Jessica went downstairs, she saw Trevor, who was in swimwear, sitting by the pool. A stunning blonde was sitting next to him.
