Chapter 176
"What happened?"
Maximilian turned around to look at the housekeeper and raised his brows. The anger in his eyes was evident.
"We don't know. Mr. Bennett appeared all of a sudden while we were cleaning."
The housekeeper and the others shook their heads in fear.
Trevor felt his heart wrenched as he used his sleeve to stop the bleeding on Bennett's head. He ordered aloud, "Hurry and get me a bandaid! Call the driver to prepare the car. I'm bringing Bennett to the hospital!"
The housekeeper hastily looked for the first aid kit. After bandaging Bennett's wound, Trevor
brought Bennett to the hospital without even changing his clothes.
All this while, Leah hid in the dining room. She was too afraid to show her face.
"Would he rat me out? He probably won't, right? He didn't say anything when I slapped him last time. This time he will probably keep quiet too," she mused.
At the hospital, the doctor did not dare to take this matter lightly. He carefully tended to Bennett's wound because the former is the grandchild of the Gulliford family.
"The injury is quite severe. That's weird... It's not common for a child his age to hurt himself this badly," the doctor explained while examining Bennett's wound.
"Bennett, tell me. Tell me who hurt you," said Trevor after his heart sank from hearing the doctor's words.
With slight anger in his eyes, Trevor lowered his eyes and stared intently at Bennett.
Bennett gave it a thought but ultimately shook his head.
"Nobody. I accidentally hurt myself."
"Grandpa is too protective toward Leah. If I told Daddy she was the one who hurt me, Daddy would definitely hurt her in return. Then Grandpa would definitely get angrier at Daddy. Grandpa might even hit Daddy with his cane. No! I can't allow this to happen!" he thought with determination.
"Bennett, don't lie to me. Don't be afraid. I'm here. Nobody will dare to hurt you."
Trevor held Bennett's hands tightly with eyes full of anxiety.
"Yeah, kiddo. You can't lie to your dad," the doctor concurred.
The doctor sighed internally because what Trevor said was definitely true.
Not just in Norington, even in the whole world, nobody would dare to harm the son of Trevor Gulliford.
"I did not lie."
Bennett was still shaking his head. Even though he was aware of how powerful his father was, his

powerful.
He did not want his father to get hurt again.
Trevor sighed, turned to look at the doctor, and asked, "Does he need to stay in the hospital?"
"It's better if he does. He hurt his head after all," the doctor replied earnestly.
Usually, cases like these would
require the injured person to stay in the hospital. Even more so for the grandchild of the Gulliford family.
After further observation, Bennett could be discharged if everything was okay. However, if he was not admitted and something happened, what would happen then?
The doctor could not afford to bear this responsibility.
"Okay. Martin, settle the admission now," Trevor instructed.

Bennett held onto the collar of Trevor's pajamas and gently reminded, "Daddy, your clothes..." He was worried about Trevor's reputation if the latter got caught on camera looking like this. "It's okay. You just rest in the hospital. I'll change later."
While saying that, Trevor carried Bennett out of the consultation room and headed toward a ward. When they arrived at Bennett's VIP ward, Martin had returned from settling the hospital admission. "Take care of Bennett. I'm going to change," Trevor ordered.
"I got it, Mr. Gulliford."This content provided by N(o)velDrama].[Org.
Trevor saw how ridiculous he looked while wearing pajamas, so he left to get a new set of clothes.
