Chapter 82
"Of course. You're the most handsome guy, ever," Jessica said, forcing a smile.
"What's happening? Does he have a personality disorder now after not seeing him for three years? That's impossible. I'm just a worthless person in his life. How could I have affected him mentally? It must be an exaggeration," she thought. Trevor remained quiet and didn't turn to leave. In fact, he went to take a seat at the side.Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.
After he took a seat, the atmosphere suddenly felt overbearing. "Who would dare to go all out having fun when he's here? What if he cuts my salary tomorrow?" they wondered. "Mr. Gulliford, do you want anything to drink?" one employee asked carefully.
"Nope. Just have fun and ignore me. Pretend that I'm not here," Trevor said, patting the seat next to him as he looked at Jessica.
Under everyone's gaze, Jessica went to take a seat next to him. "I bet this is going to be a hot topic at the office tomorrow. The headline would be: The
Chairman Is Sitting Next to a Woman," she figured.
Pamela and the rest couldn't believe that Trevor would ask Jessica to sit next to him under everyone's scrutiny.
"Is Jessica the favorite consort or something? I'm so amused by this," Pamela wondered.
Seeing that everyone was sitting idly by, Trevor picked up the microphone and asked Martin to pick a song.
"Oh my god. Are you going to sing, Mr. Gulliford?"
"Really?"
"Oh, the chairman's really going to sing."
A commotion started in the hall and everyone quickly went over. Seeing that no one was dancing, the composer stopped talking, switched off the speakers, and went over, too.
After a while, the music sounded where Trevor was. Pamela and the rest, who were sitting on the side, couldn't help but scream internally.
"Oh my god, I can't believe such a handsome man is going to sing," they thought.
"I'm singing this for you..." As soon as Trevor's magnetic voice sounded, the entire hall immediately went wild.
"Wow!"
"My god, his voice is amazing!"
Trevor's little fan girls exploded in excitement and their screams filled the lobby.
"Who could ever replace you..."
Trevor felt fondness as he looked at Jessica, but he couldn't show it on his face.
The latter was thoroughly stunned. She never knew that Trevor had such a great singing voice.
When he used to pursue her, he
wanted
interested in listening,
O sing for her. How t
never heard him sing.
"Did Dylan inherit his voice from him?" she wondered.
The female employees were immersed in Trevor's voice and discussed amongst themselves.
"My god. How could there be a man as perfect as the chairman in this world?"
"Exactly. He's multi-talented, handsome, rich, and even knows how to sing."
"What should I do? I might dream of him tonight." Another employee was already head over heels for him.
"I've been dreaming of him every night, okay?"
"You shouldn't dream of him tonight. Mr. Gulliford can only be mine tonight."
Jessica lowered her head and gaze as she tried her best to not look at the man before her.
She was afraid that his soft gaze,
cold
her
t dashing face, would make skip a beat. Because
him, she had lost so much.

"You're no Herington's First Lady anymore. This man has ruined and taken everything away from you," Jessica told herself.
After a while, the melody stopped, and Trevor put down his mic to look at the woman before him with his soft gaze.
"Encore!"
"Encore! Encore!"
All the female employees were in high spirits because of Trevor's singing.
The latter smiled and leaned back on the couch and saw Jessica sitting quietly.
Inadvertently, Jessica met Trevor's gaze when she raised her head. "W-Why is he looking at me?" she thought.
"Since the Secretary is quiet, I guess my singing was quite bad. I'll stop making a fool of myself," he calmly said as he picked up the wineglass on the table.
