STICK WITH ME

“Help me out.. Help me out!” My little sister shouted.

“What’s it.. What’s wrong?” I asked her.

I was actually arranging the flowers in the roof top of our house. I came close to her. I looked down.

The boy on a bicycle fell down. I looked at the boy’s face. he looked very familiar. his hair was like that of Leo, his eyes too. he kept looking at me.

“Is that Leo?” I asked myself. He stood up from the ground.

“Sister help me. I mistakenly threw the ball on his head!” Maria pleaded.

I didn’t reply to her. Maria looked down too.

“Isn’t that Leo?” Maria asked me.

“Be careful next time.. child” The boy said to Maria throwing back the ball to her.

“Thank you!” Maria smiled at him.

“That’s really Leo” I said to myself.

“He really looks like Leo. I miss those days when you bring him over to the house” My little sister cooed hugging her teddy tightly.

I sighed.

I came out from my room. I thought I could see the boys face now. I saw a huge bus entering our surrounding. The bus prevented me from seeing the boy again. The Man riding the bus is dark in complexion. I was very happy to see him. I waved at him happily. It’s really nice to see someone just like you. The Man smiled at me earnestly.

The bus suddenly stopped in front if our house. There were alot of cooking ingredients inside the bus. My Mum came out from the house immediately.

“Welcome sir”! She said to the Man bowing her head.

The Man came down and opened the bus. All my siblings came out of the house to see what was happening.

The people living in the town came of their houses to see what was happening. We looked at our Mum direct the Men to a certain spot.

“What is she trying to do?” The women asked amongst themselves.

A billboard was raised up by the Men. “Donald” That was written on the billboard.

“Is she trying to start a bar here?” The people around murmured.

“Okay Thank you” My Mum said to the Men who helped her carry the ingredients into the pub. The bus left immediately.

We helped out Mum unpack many things.

“Mum what are you trying to do with this place?” We asked her.

“A Pub!” She smiled at us.

“A pub?!” We asked her in disbelief.

The people around looked at us.

“A pub”? They started murmuring.

“Does she think that’s gonna work out. We don’t have to many people living around here. I wonder how she will survive” The women muttered.

“Mum why didn’t you tell us about this”? Jason asked her.

“Must I tell you about all my intentions”?! My Mum yelled at him.

“You guys should just be supportive” She added.

Monica sighed.

“Mia, change your clothes and go take a glance at your new school” My Mum said to me.

“Okay” I replied.

I walked into my room.

“What should I wear.. what should I wear”? I asked myself making it sound rhythmic.

I brushed my hands through the hanger checking for an appropriate clothe.

Finally, I found one. A black crop top and a short white skirt.

“Good to go” I Said to myself.

“Mia…!”My Mum called out to me. I ran to answer her.

“Help me distribute this papers once you enter the school premises” She said handing some papers to me. I read through it.

“You’re advertising your pub?” I asked her.

“Yes” she replied smiling.

“Am out for walk” Monica said leaving the kitchen.

“Won’t you help me prepare the dishes?” My Mum asked Monica.

“Tell your favorite daughter to do it” Monica replied to my Mum.

My Mum doesn’t care for me alot. But when she does, Monica get’s jealous.

“Don’t mind handing the papers to me… am not distributing” Monica said to Mum.

She used a towel to clean her hands and left the house.

I arrived at the school premises. I was handing the papers to the people I saw.

“Visit Donald Pub” I said to people as I handed out the papers bowing down too.

The school premises was a very large one. The environment was neat and pleasant too. I felt tired of standing. I sat down on a bench to rest a little.

“Yehh.. we won”! I heard noises.

I went closer to see what they we’re doing. They were playing basketball. I love playing basketball alot. Leo made me love it. I entered into the gathering.Content held by NôvelDrama.Org.

“Leo… Go… Leo”! The girls were shouting. It’s the boy I saw earlier. I think that’s really Leo. But, I can’t face him like that. I turned to leave.

One of the boys who we’re playing mistakenly threw the ball to the place where the people we’re surrounded. The girls there hid at my back. So the ball will touch on my body and not theirs. I used my hand to throw the ball into the hoop. it entered directly.

“Wow… she’s so amazing” The girls and boys in the gathering we’re saying to me.

“She looks different from us” The girls said.

“That doesn’t matter. She will be a good basketball player” The boys said cheering for me.

“End of the game!” The master said blowing his whistle.

“Hey!” The master called me.

“Me…?” I asked him.

“Yes… You!” he replied.

“Looks like you’re the new student that wants to register today right?” he asked me.

“Yes!” replied.

“Follow me to my office” he instructed.

I followed him.

“Your Mum have paid the fees and everything needed” He said to me.

I nodded my head.

“You’re very good in basketball” he said to me.

“Ohh… Thank you for the compliment sir” I said bowing my head.

“You can collect your school uniform from Ms. Jane” He ordered.

“She’s not in the office” Leo said as he entered the office.

“You can collect it tommorow then” The master said to me.

“Okay. I’ll get going then” I said to him. I gave the paper to the Master and Leo.

“So I’ll be starting school here tomorrow” I said to myself.

It’s getting late too. I need to run home. The weather changed.

“Rain”? I asked myself. I ran as fast as I could. I entered a light house. Waiting for the rain to stop. Leo entered the Light house few minutes later.

“We meet again”? Leo asked me.

I shivered. Goosebumps appeared on my body.

“Looks like you’re feeling cold”

Leo removed his hoodie, he wore is on my body.

I kept looking at him

We stared at each other for a while.

“You remember me?” I asked him.

“Mia…?” Leo asked me.
