Stolen Virtue

Chapter 20: Forever and for always

A few hours after she’d drop to sleep in my arms, her mother came home. She was shocked to find me in Juliet’s room. She knew that Juliet hadn’t wanted me to come close to her, so seeing us cuddling in bed took her by surprise.

I slipped out of the bed, being careful not to wake Juliet. I followed her mother down the stairs, so we could talk.

“So is she better, she’s finally let you come close, does that mean I get my daughter back?” her voice broke went she spoke.

I shook my head. “It’s worse than we thought. She hiding away in herself because she doesn’t want to feel pain. She said, she has to let the other Juliet takeover, that the other Juliet will take care of her, she will never let her feel pain.”

Mrs Daniels looked confused. “What? What other Juliet?” She was crying now. “What has he done to my baby? And why can’t the police find him?”

I held her as she cried and I cried with her. All the memories of what Juliet told me finally taking hold and I cried like a baby. I’ve cried before when Juliet was first kidnapped, but this was different. This was everything I kept pent up, finally breaking down that wall I put up to help me deal.

So I cried like a girl. “He broke her. He broke my Juliet.”

How could Dillon do something so vile to her? Who would ever want to hurt Juliet? The weeks that she had been gone, I felt like my heart was missing. I missed seeing her beautiful smile and hearing her summer sweet voice.

I missed holding her in my arms and feeling her body next to mine. Just the thought of Dillon touching her, violating her, made me mad. I wanted to kill him painfully and slow. He needs to hurt, for all the pain he caused Juliet.

After a while, I finally pulled myself together. I backed away from Mrs Daniels, grabbing my coat. I told her there was something I had to deal with and that I’d be back in a few hours. I took my phone out and send a text, slipping it back into my back pocket. I grabbed my key and headed out the door.

I saw Amy’s black Sudan, parked by the entrance to the cemetery. I grabbed what I needed from the glove compartment, putting in wait band, got out of the car and walked to her. She saw me and smiled. It took everything in me not to kill her right where she stood.

When I got closer to her, she spoke. “I got your message. Why did you want to meet here?”

I step closer to her, our lips almost touching. Her breath hitched when I spoke.

“There’s something I want to show you. Something only you will understand.”

She sighed smiling. I stepped back and intertwined our hands. She leaned into me as we walked, claiming to be afraid.

“How’s Juliet doing?”

Just the mere mention of Juliet’s name on her lips made me angry. I was fighting everything in me to keep that anger at bay. I steeled my emotions and answered.

“She’s doing ok, still not talking about what happened, or she doesn’t remember, we don’t really know. She’s not afraid of me anymore, so that’s a good thing.”

She was quite beside me, I guess hearing that Juliet was getting better was not what she had expecting.

I stopped walking and turned her to me. “Amy, you’re been a good friend to me when I needed one. Thank you.”

She frowned, then looked away. “Only a good friend?” she asked.

I looked at her. She’s quite beautiful, with long black hair, beautiful blue eyes, nice full lips and a beautiful body. However, she just wasn’t Juliet. I have craved Juliet for years, thinking she was out of my reach and way too good for me. Now that I have her, I don’t plan on losing her or giving her up. Not for anyone, not even for someone as beautiful as Amy. But this is a game and I have to play along.

“You’re beautiful, you are, but Juliet needs me right now. I have to be there until she’s better. However, maybe in time things might be different for us. We just have to wait and see.” That brought a smile to her face. We turned and continued walking.Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.

We walked for about 10 minutes, she asked how much longer and I squeezed her hand, assuring her it wasn’t farther. When we got to the crypt, I took the keys out of my pocket and opened it. I motion for her to go ahead of me, she looked unsure for a bit.

“What’s in there?” I leaned down and kissed her softly on her lips.

“You’ll see. I promise you, you’ll be surprised.”

She smiled even brighter, walking ahead of me. We had to follow some step-down. I stayed behind a bit and waited for it, and I was not disappointed. When Amy screamed it was like music to my ears. I walked down the rest of the steps and smiled when I saw her kneeling next to a chained up Dillon.

“I told you, you’d be surprised.”

Amy backed away from me, up against the wall. She looked past me to the exit.

“Don’t even think about it, you’d be dead before you reach the door.” She started crying and begging.

“Please Clyde, you don’t have to do this. Just let me go, please.”

I stepped closer to her and grabbed her hair hard. “Why should I let you go? Tell me why I should spare you? Did you let Juliet go, when she begged you to? Did you spare her? No, you didn’t. You took her to him!”

I twisted her head so she could look at Dillon, bloody and half alive.

“Do you know what he did to her? He raped her over and over and over until he broke her. He beat her and had her chain like a wild animal. You let him touch my Juliet, you let him hurt her, my Juliet!”

I took the gun out of my waistband and pressed it to her head, then I asked her.

“Why’d you do it, Amy? Juliet trusted you, you were her friend. I trusted you. What could Dillon have offered you that would make you do something so horrible?”

She was shaking and Crying and I screamed. “Answer me damn it!” Making her jump.

“I-I d-did it f-for you, Clyde. I did it f-for us, s-so that w-we could finally be t-together. Don’t you see? She w-was in the way.”

I laughed a humourless laugh. “You did it for me, for us? There is no us, AMY! There’s Juliet and there’s me that’s the only US there will ever be. I love Juliet, always have, and always will. She’s the only woman that I am capable of loving. Do you get that?!”

I pressed the gun harder into her head making her scream and I shouted.

“Shut up! Nobody hurts my Juliet, you hear me. Nobody hurts my Juliet and lives to talk about it.”

I smiled a revengeful filled smile at her. “I’ve dreamt of the day when I’ll get the change to end the person who caused my baby pain. Now that day is finally here.”

I took a step back from her and she got down on her knees and begged. Her begging did nothing for me. I felt cold as I pulled the trigger, watching her lifeless body fall to the ground. I turned the gun on Dillon but changed my mind. Ending his life was too good, leaving him there to starve to death with his partner in crime was ideal.

I walked over to him and kicked him awake. His eyes flutter open and he looked up at me. The fear was evident in his eyes. I smiled upon seeing it. How many times had he made my baby scared and afraid? I wanted him to feel everything he put her through and so much more.

“Feel like dying yet?”

He saw the gun in my hands and started to scoot back. His hands made contact with Amy’s blood and he looked down to see what it was. When he saw Amy’s dead body, he started crying like a baby. I stepped on his hand, causing him to cry out more.

“It’s a shame she had to die, I was starting to like her.” He looked at me in horror and I laughed. “What, no more smart talk? Come on Dillon, I thought you weren’t afraid of dying. Why the pussy act?”

He said nothing, just kept on crying. I put the gun back into my waistband, then took my knife out of my back pocket. I crouched down and held the blade over his fingers.

“Is this the hand you used to touch my baby? Are these the fingers, you used to violate her?”

I didn’t wait for him to answer, I held his hand down and brought my knife down with brute force. Hearing Dillon scream, was like a rush. I basked in it.

I looked down at my handy work and frowned. “Only three fingers, I was aiming for four.”

I lifted the knife and brought it down again, claiming the fourth finger. He started to pass out from the pain and I slapped him awake.

“Don’t go to sleep on me now, Dillon. We’ve only just gotten started.” He started whimpering and saying something I couldn’t hear.

I leaned closer to him so that my ear was to his lips. What he said only enraged me more.

“I-I s-sorry.” I put pressure on his injured hand and he cried out.

“You’re sorry? Juliet is barely existing, and you’re sorry! You raped her, every day for weeks, broke her down to nothing. She screams every night from all the nightmares she has, she’s afraid of men, and you’re sorry! So, you being sorry just makes it alright, is that it?”

I stood and put my foot over the thing he used to cause my girl hurt and press down.

“If you’re looking for forgiveness, you won’t be getting any from me.”

I used the tip of my boots and apply pressure to his dick, causing him to pass out from the pain. Then I turned on my heel and walked out. Leaving him there, with Amy’s corpse.

When I arrived back at the house, Juliet was still sleeping. I claimed into bed with her, pulling her to me. She called my name.

“Clyde is that you?” I kissed her hair.

“Yes baby it’s me, it will always be.” She nodded her head.

“I didn’t go, I stayed like you asked.” She paused for a bit then continued, “I love you, Clyde.” I pulled her closer. “I love you too Juliet, forever and for always.”

She drifted off to sleep and I followed her, knowing that everything was going to be alright.
