Chapter 43
Happy reading….
“Good morning sir!” said Ridwan seeing the boss enter the lobby of Pratama Corp.
“Morning!” Haidar replied briefly. “Have you found what I wanted?” asked Haidar then, walking hand in hand towards his room.
“Yes, sir. And I’m sure you will be very surprised by what I get,” said Ridwan making Haidar smile slightly not showing a row of neat teeth.
“Is that true?” Haidar raised an eyebrow.
Ridwan nodded his head in response.
“Then I can’t wait to read it,” said Haidar as the elevator door opened. They only had to walk a few meters and arrived at Haidar’s room.
Ridwan put the file he had been holding on to Haidar’s desk. Meanwhile, Haidar hung his coat first, leaving only a vest and shirt tight enough to reveal the man’s body shape.
The man sat in his oversized chair, took the file that Ridwan had placed and read it.
At first Haidar looked normal, but when he found something odd, his narrow eyes widened. He looked at Ridwan as if to ask if what he read was really true.
“Didn’t I say that Mr. Haidar would be surprised by what I got?” said Ridwan.
“Wow! Is this really true?” Heydar still couldn’t believe it.
“Of course, sir. I’ve checked the truth,” replied Ridwan.
Haidar nodded slowly. The facts that he had just read were extremely favorable to his side. Even the man couldn’t hide his happiness. The smile that was originally thin grew wider.
“Good job, Ridwan. You are indeed the most reliable,” said Haidar making the man really flattered.
“Thank you very much, sir. I would be happy if I could help you get a candidate for Mrs Pratama,” said Ridwan teasing Haidar instead.
“Yes! You are very smart to make me blush,” said Haidar awkwardly. Inviting laughter between them.
“And now nothing will stop me from getting Hera.”

The man in a white shirt combined with black pants slowly poured juice into two glasses of his customers. Don’t forget to smile sweetly before leaving them.
The soothing music of jazz accompanied their meal. Hera and Haidar.
This afternoon, Haidar called Hera and said that he had something important to say to the woman and that it had to do with Jayden. So they met at a restaurant which Hera thought was quite luxurious. Moreover, Haidar ordered a special VIP room for them.
“How are you, Hera?” asked Haidar as their conversation starter. Not seeing her for a few days made him miss Hera so much.
“I can’t say I’m fine,” Hera replied making the man look at her. The woman didn’t lie. She looked pale which made Haidar worried.
“Oh yes, I got news that Mr. Elvis Xavier died. It must be very hard for you, especially the night before there was a problem too,” said Haidar.
Until now, whenever Haidar remembers that incident his blood boils hard. Damn it Jayden even slandered him and Hera who had an affair. Even though Haidar had worked hard to build a good relationship with Andrew, Hera’s father. But Jayden ruined it all.
In Andrew’s eyes now Haidar is just a man who ruined his daughter’s household. And Haidar could not accept that. He would fix it and get his name back in front of Andrew.
“I’m sorry, Haidar. Because of me you got into trouble with my family and Jayden,” said Hera feeling bad. Really these few days she was very worried about Haidar’s condition but she couldn’t contact her either because Jayden’s accusations could be stronger.
Tonight alone Hera agreed to meet with Haidar with the excuse of meeting friends. Hera could only hope that her meeting with Haidar this time would not cause any more problems.
“I was the one who got myself into this in the first place, Hera.”
Hera, who was originally looking down, looked up. What the woman saw for the first time was Haidar’s charming smile.
“So you don’t have to blame yourself. Because it makes me want to make you mine even more,” said Haidar.
“I take it as a piece,” added Hera, raising her glass inviting Haidar to toast.
“So what do you want to tell me, Haidar?” asked Hera after gulping down half of the juice.
“Before you got married, did you find out everything about Jayden first? I was afraid if you knew about this,” said Haidar.
Hera’s brow furrowed in confusion. “We got married because of an arranged marriage so I don’t know Jayden at all like any potential wife out there,” replied Hera with a faint shrug.
“So you don’t know that Jayden isn’t Mr. Elvis and Mrs. Jane’s biological son?”
Hera’s eyes widened. Her mouth was slightly open. It was really shocking news for Hera.© NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.
“From your reaction I can guess if you don’t know about this,” Haidar continued, cutting the meat in front of him and eating it.
“Are you serious? Jayden isn’t a son of the Xavier family?” Hera still couldn’t believe it.
“Of course. My personal secretary has checked everything. Even I know that Jayden was adopted from an orphanage when he was ten years old,” Haidar explained.
“So this is the reason why Jayden didn’t feel lost at his father’s funeral,” Hera muttered. Now the question is answered why Jayden doesn’t care about Elvis at all, it’s because they don’t have blood ties.
However, it was Elvis and Jane who raised Jayden. Still, Jayden shouldn’t have behaved like that.
“What did you say, Hera? Jayden didn’t feel lost when his father died?” asked Haidar hearing Hera’s faint words.
“Yes, Haidar. And now I know why he is like that,” answered Hera.
But Haidar still looks thoughtful. He don’t know what’s going on in that guy’s mind. Until Hera had to call him several times to wake him from his daydream.
“What do you think?” asked Hera.
Haidar fake smile there. “Nothing,” he replied. “Then what are you planning now?”
“This information from you is more than enough for me, Haidar. Thank you very much,” said Hera, smiling sweetly.
Oh shit! If only Haidar had not forgotten their status, the man might have approached Hera and kissed her.
Hera’s thin pink lips made Haidar sometimes not focus when talking to the woman.
‘I don’t know how long I can endure it?’
