Such a Rude and Noisy Woman

Chapter 384 A Message From A Stranger

Chapter 384 A Message From A Stranger

Rachel felt uneasy being watched by Hiram like that. She looked at Luke and Daniel, but they both

looked away. One of them lowered his head to check his cell phone and the other took his wineglass to

drink.

"Well, you can just take one shot. Drink mine." Hiram was holding her at the waist but Rachel pulled

away and said,"I'll go get another glass."

When Rachel returned with a filled wineglass in her hand, Hiram, Luke and Daniel had almost emptied

their glasses.

"Hey, I told you to take just one shot." Rachel looked annoyed. The wine in the glass was more than

when she left.

Hiram smiled and elbowed Luke. "Don't blame me. It's Luke. He said he wanted to see what would

happen if I didn't listen to my wife."

"Traitor!" Luke pointed his fingers at Hiram stifling a laugh. Luke pretended to be disappointed that

Hiram blew the whistle on him.

Rachel turned to look at Hiram, then to Luke then back at her husband. "No matter what you say, it's

still your fault. Sure, Luke challenged you to do a childish thing. But you called him on it and did it

anyway. How mature!" She exclaimed sarcastically.

Luke then burst into laughter raising his fists in victory. He knew that Rachel was grateful to him and

she wouldn't embarrass him.

Daniel, with a smile on his face, looked at Hiram and Rachel, taking a sip of his wine. He could see the

enormous love in Hiram's eyes. Hiram and Rachel had been married for three years, and yet they were

still very sweet, just as if they had just met, in the heat and excitement early on in most relationships.

Although in the past years, there had been many problems, none of those had a scarring impact on

their relationship. Instead, they seemed to be more in love with each other after going through those

challenges.

"Daniel, this is for you." Suddenly, Rachel raised her glass to Daniel.

Daniel was overwhelmed with surprise. He clinked his glass with Rachel, smiling broadly and feeling a

warm glow inside.

"Thank you for your help and support. I hope we remain friends forever." Rachel smiled back at him,

taking a sip from her glass.

Something like this was worth saying and letting people know. Some friends were worth keeping and

cherishing. Hiram and Rachel were lucky to have such friends.

"Of course! You, Hiram, Luke and I will be friends forever. When I go to visit H City in the future, I'm

counting on you to take care of me. Ha-ha. Am I right, Hiram?" Daniel smiled as he raised his glass to

Hiram.

Hiram smiled and clinked his glass with Daniel in response. Hiram took a sip of his wine. Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.

Hiram was never an ungrateful person. He remembered who had helped him or given him support.

Daniel had saved Rachel. Hiram would never forget that as long as he lived.

Rachel sat next to Hiram and took away his wineglass. She whispered in his ears. "Enough. You have

just recovered. Don't drink too much, okay honey?"

When they were discharged from hospital, the doctor reminded Rachel that Hiram must stay away from

alcohol. Hiram was badly hurt and he needed to take good care of himself and be especially careful

with his diet.

As good friends did, Hiram, Luke and Daniel drank and talked all night and not wanting to leave until it

was very late.

Rachel mostly just sat there and listened to them talking about the past, the future and their work.

Although they had different lines of work, somehow they could always find something in common to talk

about.

When Hiram and Rachel went back to their bedroom, Rachel was a little drunk herself and feeling

sleepy. Hiram changed into his pajamas and lay in the bed holding Rachel in his arms.

"Rachel?"

Hiram gently whispered into her ear, feeling her hair on his nose. But Rachel had already drifted off to

sleep. He remained in that position, listening to her breath.

When Hiram was about to turn off the bedside lamp, Rachel's phone lit up.

Hiram was tall so he could see the screen easily. Someone sent a message to Rachel.

It was from a stranger. When Hiram saw the content of the message, he furrowed his eyebrows.

"My sweetie, are you sleeping?"

Staring at this line, Hiram's tipsiness had faded as he took the cell phone in his hand. His eyes had

turned into slits.

He stood up from the bed and put on his jacket.

"Chad, help me chase this number. Right now." He had dialed Chad's number from his own phone.

Who dared to send such a flirty message to his wife so late in the night?

Even though he sent this by mistake, Hiram swore that he would teach this stranger a lesson if he

found out who it was.

When he went back to the bedroom and saw Rachel who was already in deep sleep, Hiram calmed

himself down. It was just a mis-sent message. Rachel had no idea so he needed not be mad about it.

He was thinking of deleting the message, but he changed his mind after giving it some thought. He

should respect Rachel's privacy.

The next morning, Rachel got up late since she went to bed late last night. But when she woke up, she

found that Hiram had already gotten up.

"Where did he go?" Rachel stretched herself and murmured. Hiram was still supposed to be resting.

Why was he already out, like nothing happened?

She then went to the bathroom to brush her teeth and wash her face. She checked her phone with one

hand while she brushed with the other. When she saw the message from the stranger, she was so

surprised that she spit out the toothpaste foam.

Who sent this to her?

It might be a mis-sent message.

Rachel deleted the message without hesitation.

Rachel forgot about the message very quickly. It was no big deal. It could happen to anyone. When she

finished washing up, she went to the kitchen to make soup for Hiram. He needed added nutrition to get

back to 100% tip top condition.

In the study, she found Hiram talking on the phone.

"Mr. Rong, this number is from another province and it belongs to a person called Dickson. I asked

someone to help me check his background this morning. They said that he lost this number two days

ago and he was thinking about changing his phone number. He was sure that he'd never get it back so

he applied for a new one."

Chad reported to Hiram on the other end of the phone.

"Okay, I got it. Maybe it's just a mistake. Thank you, Chad." Hiram said as he hung up. He sat back and

rubbed his forehead and between his eyebrows. It could just be coincidence.

That night close to midnight, Rachel got a new message again.

Hiram was about to go sleep. But when he heard her cell phone message tone, he stood up and

checked the message. The message again said,"My sweetie, are you sleeping?" And there was a new

line. "Why didn't you reply to me yesterday? I miss you. It's only been a few days since we're apart but I

miss you so much."

Hiram replied three words to the stranger.

"Who are you?"

Not a minute passed and there was a new message. "I can't believe that you've forgotten about me in

such a short time. How come you never asked who I was when we were making out? You really hurt

my feelings, sweetie."

Hiram furrowed his eyebrows immediately. He really wanted to smash the cell phone to the floor. But

he calmed himself down and took a deep breath. He looked at his wife who just turned to him.

"Hiram, why don't you go to sleep?" Rachel opened her eyes, still sleepy. She looked at Hiram, who

was sitting at the edge of their bed and holding her phone.

Hiram had already calmed himself down. He looked at Rachel and said,"Nothing. I just don't feel like

sleeping yet and wanted to play games on your phone."

Rachel yawned and hugged his waist. She murmured into his belly. "Why don't you feel sleepy? Do you

feel pain in your wound?"

She hugged Hiram tighter. She liked his freshly showered scent. She could always sleep well as long

as she knew that he was with her.

"No. Let's go to sleep." Hiram was furious, but when he felt Rachel hugging him from behind, he

couldn't stay mad at her. He decided to delete the message and put down her phone.

Hiram's anger completely disappeared as he looked at Rachel, who had closed her eyes and fell

asleep again.

Hiram swore that this time he would find out who this stranger was and teach him a lesson, whether it

was a mistake or not. The stranger had gotten on his nerves.
