Chapter 2153
Chapter 2153
Everyone rubbed their hands in anticipation.
The man yelled, "Get ready! Show our opponents what we’re made of.
"You're my elites. Don't lose and embarrass me." Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!
The competition officially began as he spoke excitedly.
The man glanced nervously at Sean.
This round was important to regain some face.
However, things did not go as smoothly as he had expected.
Sean's opponents were already in a rather disadvantageous position at the beginning of the fight.
The people facing Sean were defenseless.
The Brown brothers alone had taken down over 20 people.
It was only in the first 20 seconds.
Witnessing that himself, the man was dumbfounded.
The rest of his men did not fare much better either.
Sean's men took down each of his men with one punch.
The competition lasted 39 seconds.
None of Sean's men was hurt, and everyone at the man's side lay on the ground, grunting.
The man was stunned to witness that.
He looked on blankly, unable to believe his eyes.
"W-What's this all about? How could this have happened?"
The man was ashamed.
The way Sean and his gang looked at him felt like a needle picking his heart, and it hurt so much that
he could not breathe.
Exasperatedly, the man shouted again.
"I'll let you win.
"We lost, but we still want to prove ourselves. At least there's no way we'll lose to you in the team
competition!"
That being said, the men's team was in disarray once the team competition started.
Sean handled it easily.
Having been defeated repeatedly, the man was overwhelmed with grief.
The battered team was dejected, looking just like dogs with tails between their legs.
"Why? We all lost. We're elites after all. How can such a ridiculous thing happen? This makes no
sense!"
Theodore's three men gave him a sympathetic glance.
It was a suicide mission to fight Sean.
If it were any of them, at least this guy would not have failed so quickly.
"Do you know why we laughed?"
"We knew it would end in a horrible defeat if we go against Mr. Lennon. That's why we withdrew."
"That's right. And you thought we were laughing at Mr. Lennon."
"Do you know what Mr. Lennon is capable of doing now? Poor boy."
The man was humiliated as he heard their remarks.
He was ashamed to speak arrogantly now. He dejectedly left the place with his men.
Sean did not even bother to look at him. He turned around to speak to Spencer.
"Mr. Sawyer, as you can see, there's no need for a competition."
"Yeah." Spencer smiled and nodded stiffly.
To be honest, he did not expect Sean and his team to be this good.
Spencer exclaimed, "The younger generations are surpassing the older generations. Mr. Lennon, your
company is new, but I think you'll soon become the leading company in the security industry."
Sean replied, "You're too kind. I'm now more curious about
the item I'm escorting now."
Spencer began explaining.
Three nights later, Sean went to Spencer's place to pick up the gemstone—Heart of the Firefly.
There were two pieces of Heart of the Firefly—one real and one fake. They would be escorted on two
separate trips.
According to Spencer, there was already a powerful organization that already had its eyes on Heart of
the Firefly.
The organization was called Sky High, and it was full of various accomplished thieves. Besides that,
most of them were pretty good at fighting.
Otherwise, Spencer's own security detail would have been sufficient.
He was afraid something would go wrong. That was why he hired Sean to escort it.
Sean nodded when he heard this.
"Sky High Organization? With so many thieves, I suppose there must be an expensive bounty for
them."
Spencer replied, "Indeed. The authorities have offered a bounty of 30 million dollars for their capture.
"Many people from all walks of life have suffered from Sky High Organization's thievery. These people
have offered no less than 100 bounties, and the total bounty added up to more than 500 million
dollars."
Sean widened his eyes at this.
Rather than doing small missions like this, only big deals like this could bring him good money.
"This is a pretty good deal."
Spencer could not help shuddering at this and gave Sean a strange glance.
"Hey, you're not trying to capture Sky High Organization, are you?"
"Why not?"
In Sean's opinion, the so-called Sky High Organization was no threat to him.
Spencer gulped.
"Though I only need you to successfully escort Heart of the Firefly. But let me warn you, members of
Sky High Organization are ruthless people.
"If you piss them off, your company going out of business would be the least of your worries. Your life
may be
seriously at risk."
Sean did not answer. He only smiled and muttered to himself.
"Who's going to be one with their lives at stake?
"I'll see you in three days, Mr. Sawyer."
After saying that, Sean led his men away.
Looking at Sean's back, Spencer shuddered.
Although Sean's remark terrified him, the sight of Sean's back somehow assured him.
The guy he just met might actually be able to do this.
Sean got a call from Kendra as soon as he reached the company.
Kendra on the other end of the line seemed hesitant to speak to Sean. She seemed shy to speak.
"Just say what you have to say. Hesitating won't solve anything."
Kendra summoned the courage to speak after Sean said so.
"The thing is, I'd like to get a job from you.
"Well... I'm not asking you to hire me for nothing. I have a college degree. So I think you can help me
find a good job.
"How do I put this? I must repay you somehow for all the money you spent on gifts."
Sean could not help but chuckle when he heard this.
"Isn't it simple? I could use someone thoughtful here. Those rough men are respectful and good
fighters, but not many of them can handle mundane things.
"Where are you now? I'll pick you up and show you the ropes. W
"Really?" The delighted Kendra was relieved and quickly told Sean her whereabouts.
Sean asked Zander to drive him over without further ado.
