Super Mommy and Her Triplets

Chapter 707

Chapter 707

Micah's body was trembling slightly as he stared at the tomb before him.

Even though he did not experience the car accident, he could almost imagine the bloody and gruesome scene in his head.

A child was the greatest gift bestowed to a parent. Yet, his child perished in sin; no one knew of his existence before his death, not even his own father.

He left the world without a trace.

“Eugene, your mother and I have come to see you. You are an angel now, watching over us from above. If you pity your mother, grant her some happiness so that the rest of her life may be a little more peaceful. She will no longer suffer from the pain of the past.”

Shannon glanced at him sideways, sneering, “What right do you have to make demands of our child? All of his misfortune was because of you, his father. Micah, you have no right to speak to him, let alone order him. Get out of here, and don't soil his path of reincarnation.”

A pang of guilt flashed past Micah's eyes. His lips quivered, and he felt a lump in his throat.

Shannon ignored him and walked over to the grave, squatting down and gently stroking the cold tombstone. The tears that she had held back for so long began to fall.

“Eugene, I'm here to see you. Three years passed, and I never came to visit. Will you blame me for being heartless? I couldn't find the person who harmed you before, so I was too ashamed to see you. Now, your uncle has helped to catch the evil person, and I'll definitely take revenge for you and seek

justice!”

Tears continued to stream down her face, splashing onto the snow and quickly freezing into ice.

In the end, she broke down, sobbing uncontrollably on the tombstone.

The car accident was the nightmare of her life, a pain that was a million times more despairing than losing an arm.

Micah sought her forgiveness and begged her to start over with him.

However, all of her experiences were laced with blood and tears.

After enduring so much suffering, she could not find a reason to sacrifice herself to accommodate him.

It was no longer possible for them to be together; it was a sin to continue their relationship. The loss of her child served as a harsh reminder for her to keep her distance from Micah.

“Show me mercy, Micah. I'll persist even if life gets tough so that I can visit the beautiful places in this world on behalf of my child. But I don't want you to accompany me. You remind me of my pain; I cannot break free from this curse with you around. The only way to find peace is to stay far away from you,” Shannon pleaded. “Show me mercy, Micah.” That was her decision. She was truly ruthless; not only did she inflict wounds on herself, but she also hurt the others around her.

Meanwhile, in the ward at the medical base, Bailey nestled in Artemis' embrace, creating an intimate and romantic atmosphere.

“Artemis, I have a feeling that this room has turned into our wedding chamber.”

Breathing softly, the man furrowed his brows at her words. “Don't be ridiculous. I'll hold a grand wedding for you next spring. Our wedding chamber won't look like this; it certainly won't be associated with the hospital.”

Looking up at him, Bailey smiled. “Okay, I look forward to our grand wedding.”

Artemis' lips twitched, but before he could respond, a sudden surge of blood flowed in his abdomen. He quickly pushed the woman away and rushed to the bathroom.

“Are you all right, Artemis?” Bailed asked worriedly.

A loud bang echoed as he slammed the bathroom door shut.

Bailey stared at the closed door in confusion.

Did I say something wrong and offend him? Hold on a second; no matter what I say, he wouldn't lash out at me. Something is definitely wrong with him.

With that thought in mind, she hurriedly got out of bed and rushed to the door. As expected, it was locked.

“Artemis, what's wrong? Open the door, and let me take a look.” Content © NôvelDrama.Org.

There was no response from inside; only the sound of running water could be heard.

With his hands braced against the sink, Artemis frowned as he peered into the basin filled with congealed blood.

I don't have any internal injuries, so why am I suddenly coughing up blood?

The pounding on the door grew more insistent, prompting him to grab a bottle of air freshener and spray it around the bathroom to dispel the lingering scent of blood.

As the bathroom door clicked open, Bailey was taken aback when she saw Artemis holding a toothbrush. She asked, “What are you doing? Why are you suddenly brushing your teeth?”

The man turned back to the restroom and replied in a muffled voice, “Maybe I caught a cold, so I feel nauseous. I want to vomit, but I can't. It felt really uncomfortable, so I decided to rinse my mouth. Please go and take a rest and avoid catching a cold.”

As Bailey followed him closely, a strange odor immediately infiltrated her nostrils. It smelled like an air freshener but with a hint of bloodiness, faint and barely noticeable.

Such a scent could only be emitted by blood.

The woman strode up to him and began examining his body. “Did you get hurt somewhere?”

Artemis spat out the foam in his mouth and laughed. “If I were injured, you would have seen or felt it during our intimate moment earlier, right? Don't overthink it; I'm fine.”

Bailey took his pulse once again but still found nothing amiss.

“Come on, let me take you for a blood test and a CT scan. If there's something wrong with your body, we should find the cause as soon as possible. The longer we wait, the worse it will get,” she urged.

With a firm grip on her shoulder, Artemis said, “Ever since I came back, you've been like a frightened bird. The slightest abnormality would cause you to get so nervous. Bailey, what are you really afraid of?”

The woman's eyes immediately welled up with tears, and she said in a tearful voice, “I'm afraid I'll wake up one day and find you gone, and no matter where I look in the world, I won't be able to find you. Artemis, I've never been afraid of anything. Even in the toughest times, I've always been able to rise to the challenge. But when it comes to you, I feel so helpless.”

Artemis pinched Bailey's cheek before scooping her into his arms and carrying her outside.

“The recent difficulties you've faced have left you in a tense state, and you're pushing yourself beyond your limits. Trust me, get some good sleep, and I promise you'll wake up and see me,” the man said tenderly.

Bailey stared at him blankly. Have I really pushed myself too hard? Is that why I'm always feeling so uneasy?

“Artemis, remember that we share the same destiny and rely on each other in life and death. If you keep something from me, it will hurt me, as I cannot bear to live without you if anything unfortunate happens,” she said solemnly.

“You're getting more and more ridiculous. What could possibly be wrong with me?”

Despite his words, Artemis still decided to visit Justin for a medical examination in secret.
