Super Mommy and Her Triplets

Chapter 902 Jealous Of Your Own Daughter

Chapter 902 Jealous Of Your Own Daughter

Artemis playfully bit his daughter's neck, eliciting a fit of giggles from the little girl.

“It tickles, Daddy!”

“So? Still doubting whether I'm a human or a ghost?”

“I have no doubts anymore! I have no doubts. Daddy, please spare me.”

Bailey walked over and pulled her daughter out of the arms of Artemis.

“Go cling to your brother. Stop clinging to your father.”

The little girl rolled her eyes.

Do you really have to do this? Getting jealous of your own daughter—what a great achievement indeed.

Suppressing a laugh, Artemis pulled his wife closer into his embrace.

“Ms. Jefferson, I think I smell jealousy in the air. Can you smell it?”

Bailey was somewhat irritated, struggling in the arms of Artemis. “I haven't given my son a kiss yet. Let me go.”

Artemis extended his other hand and flicked her forehead twice. “I'm just teasing you. Why do you lose your temper so quickly?”

The two little ones came up and hugged their parents' thighs tightly.

Bailey subconsciously looked up and asked with a frown, “Where did Zayron go? Where has he run off to?”

The housekeeper at the side respectfully replied, “Mr. Zayron has learned about Ms. Luna's incident and has just rushed to the infirmary.”

Looking up at her mother with a carefree smile, Susan asked, “Bailey, have I become an elder cousin?”

Bailey pinched her cheek, chuckling lightly. “Indeed, so you need to start acting like a big sister from now on. Enough with the mischief and be careful not to lead your younger cousin astray. Your uncle will spank you with a stick if you don't behave.”

“No way, Uncle Simon treats me so well, he would never bear to hit me. If it were Daddy, he probably wouldn't bear to hit my younger cousin either.”

Bailey vigorously rubbed the top of the young girl's head, chuckling as she teased, “Such a little imp you are!”

Then, looking up at the housekeeper, she instructed, “Take them to the infirmary to see Ms. Luna.”

“Yes.”

After watching the two children leave, Bailey turned to Artemis and asked, “Was it you who let Max and

Susan come to Moranta?”

Artemis shook his head. “It wasn't me. It should be something they, the siblings, cooked up themselves.”

Bailey chuckled, changing the subject, “Have you found out who used the substance that can catalyze the parasitic worms in Luna on her?”

Artemis' handsome face slightly darkened, a cold light flashing in his eyes.

“After Zayron left the research base, Luna went to the garden to play after seeing the sprinklers were on. The sprinkler heads used for watering the flowers were all misting types. I guess the substance that can stimulate the parasitic worms was mixed in there. Luna ran around there, so she probably managed to absorb a bit of it into her body. And just a tiny bit of the substance was enough.”

Bailey narrowed her eyes slightly, gritting her teeth as she said, “Aisley couldn't have done it alone. After all, putting the substance into the sprinklers is a technical job.”

“Indeed, there are spies from the Lockett family among the housekeepers in this research base. Let's set a trap to draw them out. Once we have a witness, we can confront Aisley and it will make Simon utterly disgusted by her.”

With a subtle smile, Bailey asked teasingly, “When did the great Artemis start learning these cunning schemes?”

Artemis leaned in close to her ear, whispering, “I was taught well by my wife.”

Bailey said nothing in response.

Meanwhile, Aisley sat on the couch, narrowing her eyes at the note in her hand inside the guest room.

It read: The parasitic worms have been activated, but the person is not dead.

Not dead?

Aisley clenched the note in her hand fiercely. Didn't her mother say that once the deed was done, that little brat would die?

How could she possibly survive now that the parasitic worms had been activated?

Could it be that Eunice was playing them?

That shouldn't be possible.

Eunice had always been against Catherine. She would be more than happy to do anything that could cause Catherine pain.

Could it be Bailey? Yes, it must have been Bailey who intervened, barely saving her life. That means all I need to do now is to use some more tricks, and that brat will undoubtedly meet her end. Without the child, Catherine won't be able to continue to cling to Simon.

With that thought, she quickly picked up her pen and began to write fervently: Contact my mother and ask her to ask Eunice if there are any other ways to discreetly eliminate Catherine and her daughter.

After she finished writing, she tucked the note into the leftover food on the table.

Once the housekeeper comes to pick up this note, it would quickly end up in the hands of the spy my mother has planted here.

Inside a rundown little inn in the countryside, a shifty middle-aged man pushed open the door at the end of the hallway.

The room was pitch black, and he tentatively called out, “Ms. Carr, are you there—”

He abruptly stopped talking, for a cold, gleaming blade now rested against his neck.

The middle-aged man quickly pleaded, “It's me! It's me, Chuck Zoller. Don't be impulsive, please.”

Sofie yanked him with all her might into the room and then tossed him onto the couch.

“When you came over, there wasn't anyone following you, was there?”

“Rest assured, Ms. Carr. I've left poison in my wake, leaving nothing alive in my path. No one can keep up with my pace.”

Sofie sat down across from him, her voice light as a feather. “I've been poisoned severely. The average poison-crafting expert simply has no way of neutralizing it. You've been mastering the art of poison for decades, so I'm sure you must have a solution. If you can neutralize this poison, I'll give you ten million.”

Chuck didn't respond immediately.

For people like them, ten million was just a number.

It really couldn't spark any interest in him.

After all, having spent most of his life concocting poisons for others, any deal he made easily amounted to tens or hundreds of millions.

His worth was already immeasurable.

Hence, the price this woman quoted didn't tempt him at all.

But the woman had leverage over him. If he didn't faithfully work for her, he could forget about having a future in this line of work.

Even if he were to retire, he couldn't live a peaceful life.

The families of those who were once poisoned by him would send assassins to his doorstep, seeking his life.

He didn't want to spend the rest of his life in desolation, wandering aimlessly. So, when this woman asked to see him, he immediately accepted her invitation.

“Ms. Carr, you're too kind. It would be my honor to detoxify you, so how could I dare to ask for any reward? That is under the precondition that I can neutralize the poison, of course.”

After he finished speaking, he pulled out a few silver needles from his pocket.

Seeing the situation, Sofie cooperatively extended an arm.

Chuck inserted three silver needles into three acupoints on her wrist.

The moment the needles entered her body, they quickly turned black.

Even the part of the needles that were above the surface of the skin was not spared.

Chuck's face changed dramatically in response, and he suddenly sprang up from the couch.

“W-What, what is this? What kind of poison is this? H-How can it be so intense?”

Sofie looked at him with a chilling gaze as if she was a vengeful spirit.

After she killed her daughter, the malice in her eyes intensified. Her whole being radiated a bloodthirsty aura as if she desired to set the world ablaze.

“Cut the chatter. Can you neutralize it or not?”

Chuck quickly shook his head. “I-I can't. I can't do it. This poison is t-too strong. It's unheard of. M-Ms. Carr, you'd better find someone more capable.”

A glint of murderous intent flashed in Sofie's eyes.

This good-for-nothing can't be kept around. But before killing him, I still need to ask him who can neutralize this poison. Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.
