The Alpha’s Moon Child by Nocturnes Moon

Chapter 15

Chapter 15

Facing My Fear The Moon Goddess waved her paw, and I could feel the ground around me began to shake. “What’s happening?” I yelled. “Calm yourself, my Daughter; it is time for me to send you back.” Everything began to swirl around, and I felt like I was being pulled backward down a long tunnel. “Please tell the Elders to prepare for the trip to The Moon Gardens and that We will meet everyone there tomorrow morning.” “Who is we?” I asked, “Myself and my Court, as well as your father’s family, the High Court of the Unseelie.” Before I could ask any other questions I was snapped back into darkness-seconds after, I could hear someone calling my name. “Saphira. Saphira, “she is waking up.” I opened my eyes to see Ren Xavier and doctor Sam standing over me. I sat up and rubbed my head. When I looked back towards them, they all had a look of shock on their faces. “What is wrong?” I asked? “Your eyes are different,” Xavier finally said. “What do you mean they are different?” I asked? “They are a different color.” “WHAT! What color are they?” “Silver,” they all three responded together. I jumped up and ran into the Office to the bathroom. I almost didn’t recognize the person staring back at me from the mirror. It wasn’t just my eye color that had changed. My hair looked different. There were golden streaks, and my hair had never shined this much. I was so caught up in how different I looked I had almost forgotten I needed to relay a message. “I have a message for the Elders from the Moon Goddess.” “Oh?” Xavier said with a raised eyebrow. “Let me get Lucian for you, little one.” It only took a moment for Xavier to return with Lucian. “I hear you have a message for us, Saphira?” “Yes, she asked me to tell you to prepare for a trip to the Moon Gardens and that they will meet us there tomorrow morning.” “They?” 0.00% Facing My Fear I smiled a bit, realizing we had had the same question when hearing this. “She said that it would be her and Her Court and the Court of the Unseelie Fac.” “Why on earth would the Unseelie Court be coming,” he asked. “Because my father was FAE, and she told me she was a direct descendant of the Court. She also said there’s some type of Spell or Curse on me that is blocking my powers?”

Lucian and Xavier looked at each other, then to me, and once again back to me. “We have much to do. It will be a long drive if we are to make it to the Moon Gardens by morning.” Lucian said as he hurried away. Where are the Moon Gardens? I asked Xavier “They are at the top of Crescent Moon Mountain.” “What I grasped that’s the the…” I couldn’t get the rest of the sentence out, I could feel the tears welling up in my eyes. It was hard to catch my breath; it felt like someone had kicked me right in my side and forced the air from my lungs. “Yes,” Xavier quietly spoke, “yes, Saphira, it is the same Mountain.” ” NO.” I yelled, “I will not go back there.” I fell to my knees; the weight of the memories was too much. I tried to stand up, but my legs would not allow me to. “Ren, What are you doing?”I could hear Xavier say. “Everyone leave now,” was Ren’s only reply. I could hear bones begin to pop and c c k and knew he was Shifting. Xavier tried once more to intervene.” Ren, listen to me, we have much to pre……” Ren let a deep growl out, and I could tell he had used his Alpha command. Xavier bowed his head in compliance. “Yes, I understand. I will begin the preparations, take your time,” he said. Rens wolf was massive, Beautiful jet black Fur and Harvest Orange eyes. He came and sat next to me on the ground. After a few minutes, he took his head and laid it on top of mine. It made me laugh. I enjoyed the warm feeling it gave me. I leaned into his chest and buried my head into his fur. I felt an instant sense of calm wash over me. Everything felt better. I felt safe for the first time in a very long time. “I have to go to the Moon Gardens, don’t I?” Ren whined a bit and buried his head into the crook of my neck.” I take that as a yes. Well then, we need to get ready. I Facing My Fear 288 Vouchers suppose.” I stood up and turned to him; “I want to get a few things from my room. Will you go down there with me, please?” He nodded and trotted off behind the fountain. I could hear the c r a k e s and pops. of his bones reforming.” Umm, Saphira, would you be ever so kind to hand me my Pants?” Ren asked. I busted out laughing; “well, I could always just come out and get them myself, dear.” “NO NO, that won’t be necessary.” I squeaked. I jumped up and grabbed his pants, and

handed them to him. Ren’s POV. After I shifted back, I realized I had forgotten to grab my pants. “Umm, Saphira, would you be ever so kind to hand me my Pants?” I could hear her laughing; it was the most incredible sound I had ever heard. It made my ears dance. “Well, I could always just come out and get them myself, dear,” I retorted. “NO NO, that won’t be necessary.” she squeaked. I chuckled to myself, “got ya.” After I got dressed, I walked out from behind the fountain and to Saphira. She was standing just outside the basement door. I knew she was hesitant to go down there because she knew we were holding her Uncle in one of the cells below. I put my hand on her shoulder. “Sweet Heart, if you tell me what you want, I can get it for you. Or I can have all of your stuff brought up.” “No,” she said, “I need to go. I have things hidden that I need to get.” I nodded and said,” whenever you are ready, I will be right behind you.” We had made it about halfway down the stairs when her Uncle’s voice broke the silence. “I knew you couldn’t stay away, little mutt.” She hesitated for a moment. I softly placed my hand on her back and again told her she didn’t have to come down here. “No, I need to.” I had wished she would have agreed to come back up, but I was proud of her for facing this fear.” Do not worry about him. I will not let him come near you, he is locked in chains inside a cell; you are safe with me here.”This is property © of NôvelDrama.Org.
