TWENTY EIGHT
Never in a million years I had imagine that I’d be at Shain’s funeral. Tiff still haven’t recovered from coma and I made sure to visit her very often.
Ethan stood on one side of me, and Cayne on the other. Mira and Layla is sniffing.
We all had been good friends. How did life gotten so fucked up. I sniffed, on the verge of crying. Cayne’s hand tighten on mine, strengthening me.
Clara’s body, who was Ethan’s ex-fiance, were taken by her parents to their hometown. Her funeral was already done yesterday. They said that Clara got angry because Ethan had come to me and confess his feelings, so she cut the brakes of my car. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - ©.
Shain and Tiff came to the mansion that time because they thought I was there and when they saw what happened, she shot them. Then I think, consumed with guilt she shot herself.
It’s very hard to believe. Like, it was so sudden. Why does she have to kill Shain. And Ethan also said that it was hard to believe that Carla killed herself, because first, she hated guns, and couldn’t even stand anyway near it, and secondly, he said that she couldn’t never taken a life. Not even her own. But turns out that she killed herself.
Something’s isn’t right. Like something is missing in the puzzle and didn’t add up.
Shain’s sister stood beside their parents and to the other side is Layla and Mira. Shain’s parents grief striken faces sent my heart dropping all over again. I couldn’t tell them I was very sorry for what happen to her.
I knew it’s all my fault. If it isn’t because of me, none of these would’ve happened.
Minutes later, after the funeral service of Shain, Nicholas took me to the hospital where Tiff is. She was lying in the bed for almost a week now and just didn’t look like herself. When I took a step forward to her, there was no warm, sisterly smile to greet me.
I missed her. I missed her more than words I could possibly say.
I wanted my friend back. I wanted my sister back.
Then, tears started to stream in my cheeks as I sat in the bed beside her. One by one. There was only the sound of her heart monitor and my ragged breathing as I cried.
I stoked her hair and desperately prayed for a miracle like I had been doing for a past week.
“C’mon Tiff, let’s go home. Layla, and Mira is also waiting for you, you know. Stand up. I’m not used seeing you like this,” I continued to cried, looking at her.
“I know you’re strong and you could fight this. I also know that God wouldn’t also take you away from. I won’t be able to live if you’ll also end up like Shain. Please Tiff, stand up and let’s go home. Let’s go clubbing like we always do.” I out my hand on hers, and I stayed that way for a long time.
Praying and hoping for her to wake up and get well soon.

3rd Person POV
“You little fool,” her father hissed, pacing back and forth. “You don’t know what you’ve started. If Lincoln will find out what you did… and if Cayne finds out, they’ll gonna dismantle you themselves.”
“Yeah whatever. I can take care of myself, father. You don’t wanna help me, so I did things on my own.” Anica replied, staring at him impassively.
“Lincoln came here, you know. I think he has an idea that you’re the one who did it.” He let out a sigh.
“Listen, we were the best mafia in town since Gregorio and his boys. However, if Lincoln and Cayne finds out and get involved in this, I’m sorry to say but I can’t help you with it. Murdering someone in Shelton’s garage! What were you thinking? And it’s not just one person, it’s three of them. Thankfully, the other one survive and in a coma but if she woke up, you’ll be dead.” He shook his head angrily.
“Don’t worry, I can handle it myself. They won’t be able to know that it was me. And the girl you were talking that on a coma, she won’t be able to last a day now, I’ll make I’ll end her up just the way I did to Clara and that bitch’s friend.” She smiled wickedly as she thought of it.
Soon, it will be you Raszhiel. I told you, don’t mess with me. Mine is mine.
