Chapter 357 You Unfilial Son

Joseph’s appearance let Rebekah forget struggling and she was ended up being pushed back to the

bed.

“You guys can have a talk.”

Hayden then put the apple and knife at the night stand. While passing through Joseph, she let out an

encouraging smile.

It was not easy to clear up a twenty years of misunderstanding which was full of resentment. They

needed much more time to heal this wound.

After Hayden, Rebekah looked more uneasy. “Joseph, I’ll leave this afternoon and won’t trouble you.”

Looking at Rebekah, Joseph frowned. “The doctor said that you should stay in the hospital for a whole

week. If you just leave this afternoon, the doctor will just ask me where did you go. Isn’t this troubling?”

Hearing his words, Rebekah paused and didn’t know how to respond.

Joseph frowned more and seemed unnatural.

It was then all quiet in the ward. “Zed was detained for now. He had committed a lot of crimes before,

so he probably would be sentenced dead. Do you have anything to say to him before the trial?”

Joseph even mentioned Zed and wasn’t dodging his existence.

Rebekah’s hands which were clutching at the blanket then relaxed and said lightly, “No.”

Since Joseph had already known the truth, it would be much awkward for her if she just pretended that

nothing had happened. It was better that they cleared everything up.

Joseph nodded and said, “Benjamin’s injury isn’t that serious. He is running a fever now and hasn’t

woken up yet. He is transferred to the military hospital in Nanking yesterday. If you don’t want to live

here, you can just transfer to his hospital.”

Rebekah looked up in surprise, “What... what did you call him?”

She hadn’t never expected that Joseph would be willing to admit that Benjamin was his brother. It

would be good enough for her if Joseph just saw him as a stranger.

But Joseph just avoided her look and said, “He is still father’s only son and grandfather’s only grandson

no matter what. He will also be the Beckham and ST Group’s heir in the future. I’ll be responsible for

his life after.”

Rebekah suddenly felt painful inside.

Her biggest feat was that Joseph would start questioning himself if he knew everything. It really just

Seeing the daughter that he hadn’t seen in twenty years in the hospital bed, the Old Master Beckham

suddenly felt emotional and his eyes started welling up. But he didn’t want any more to see it and just

tilted his head to wipe away the tears.

Rebekah hurriedly wanted to get out of the bed. “Dad.”

“Don’t move.”

The Old Master Beckham just waved his hand and sounded upset, “You are injured. Don’t move. We

can just have a talk here. You can just also tell me how you raised Benjamin up alone all these years.”

Glancing at Joseph, Rebekah didn’t know how to say.

“Grandpa, I’ll be out...”

“Stay here.”

The Old Master Beckham directly cut him mid-sentenced. “You’re always busy and haven’t come home

for a while. How you dare to say that you will just leave everything to Benjamin? Don’t you want to take

care of me anymore? If you are still thinking about that you are not your father’s son, I will just tell you

will always be your mother’s son. You mother will always be my daughter, so you are my grandson

either way.”

There was a trace of surprise flying through Joseph’s eyes.

Hayden was sitting outside with Stella and Noah leaning against her. They were asking Hayden to tell

stories to them.

“Mommy, you are so cool. Aren’t you afraid of those bad guys?”

Stella winked and asked.

Noah understood more than Stella. Apart from curious, he also looked concerned.

Hayden them both tightly and said lightly, “Of course I was afraid, but I won’t feel so when I think that I

can protect my friends and family.”

Stella nodded and said firmly, “I will protect mommy and won’t be scared.”

Noah hugged Hayden’s arms tightly seriously and didn’t say anything.

After the observation period in the hospital, Rebekah was discharged from the hospital. Joseph picked

her up from Nanking himself so that she can be taken good care of. The Ola Master Beckham even

directly let her live in the family mansion.

Rebekah stood in front of the door for a while when she went back to the mansion.

Benjamin’s body had recovered much and the doctor agreed that he can leave for one night. the

Beckhams had a family gathering. Hayden’s aunt was also there. So they just re-threw the family

banquet that was ruined before. Compared to the last one, this one was really homey.

Rebekah cooked herself and the always picky aunt can’t help praising her cooking and said that she

wanted to learn from her when they were both free.

After the dinner, Rebekah and aunt went to the garden for a walk and Joseph and the Old Master

Beckham went to the study room to discuss a company acquisition project. Benjamin then bugged

Hayden to show him around in the mansion.

“Can’t you just do this in the daytime? It’s pitch black outside.”

“Well, the hospital said that I had to return to the hospital tomorrow morning.”

Hayden held him and passed the hallway with a flashlight. It all seemed spooky.

The Beckham mansion was pretty big and only some rooms that were used often had electricity. So it

was all dark by night at the yard.

“Let’s just go aback after seeing this yard. You can just live here if you want when you are well.”

“I’d love to. But my application of going abroad had been approved, so I have to leave after this winter

vacation.”

“This soon?” Hayden stopped and was in shock. “How come that I’ve never heard you saying this

before?”

“Well, you don’t want me to leave right? I’ll just tell school that I want to give up this quota if you really

don’t want me to go.”

Right when Hayden was about to speak, Joseph said coldly from behind, “It’s not really smart to stay

her with this excuse.”

The maid told Joseph that Hayden was here. He was afraid that something might happen to her since it

was so dark outside and came to find her. Then he just heard this brother of him was pestering his

future sister-in-law and got angry.

While he was still furious, Benjamin suddenly called him, “Brother, what are you doing here?”

Then it got all quiet in the yard.

Joseph twitched his mouth woodenly and was speechless.

He didn’t really expect that Benjamin will just call him brother blatantly.
