When Mavis got to Lisa’s room, Lisa was browsing through a white sheet of paper with a very bewildered look on her face.

“What is it?” Mavis asked, feeling very worried about Lisa’s reaction.

” Oh you came,” Lisa said putting the paper away.

” Yes, I came. What’s in there?” Mavis asked again.

” Is that a script? Is he being serious?” Mavis asked when she got a peak at the content of the sheet. Lisa reluctantly nodded her head with a slight cringe on her face.

” What the hell are they making you do?” Mavis asked but Lisa shook her head vehemently when she saw that Mavis was getting worked up about her.

” It’s not me. I’m fine, all I have to do is go to school that’s and be well-behaved that’s all.”

” Oh…that’s actually good but…that’s also kinda boring. What about Luke?”

” He’s being asked to be himself…it’s so infuriating,” Lisa scoffed.

” Oh…so?”

” He’ll be the new hot guy at school while I’m supposed to be the pretty nerd sister.”

” It’s okay. It’s only for a while.” Mavis comforted her.

” Hey but if you’re not doing anything fishy then why did you have that reaction on your face when I walked in?” Mavis asked and Lisa’s face turned serious.

” Don’t you wanna talk about it?”

” What? Of course I want to talk about it that’s why I asked!”

” No, I mean why you fainted. Mavis, this place is too full of drama and for a person like you who hates drama, I don’t see this place doing you any good. I think you of all people should try to avoid all this unnecessary stress,”

” Why the hell are you asking me about that? I mean, I felt overwhelmed by the fact that those women died because of me but I…I just…I need time to process if I’m being honest -and I’ve not gotten that,”

” You can if you just do as you’re told,”

” Okay, what’s going on? You’re the last person I’d expect to say something like this to me. What do you mean by I should do whatever I’m told? Do you know something that I don’t?” Mavis asked critically.

With a deep sigh, Lisa gave her the sheet of paper and said, “Here, it’s your schedule for the next few weeks which is subject to change. Before you read it, let me just start by saying that people will hate you but more people will love you. You’ll be famous Mavis and everyone will want to know you and see you but that amount of Fame…you really don’t need it. Just…focus on yourself and stay away from the press,”

Mavis stared at her in awe wondering what was truly the content of the paper. Silently, she got up, went back to her room, and shut the door. Then after a deep breath, she sat on her chair and carefully scanned through the script given to her. She could not believe the content of the script.

” Victoria and Isabella will gain public sympathy after video leaks of Blaine kissing a mysterious lady (Mavis) causing more public outrage. After this Victoria will receive interviews about her upcoming movie and she will be asked about the scandal. She is to paint Mavis as seductive and ambitious and she will also reveal that Mavis is pregnant. This will go on for two weeks causing the public to yearn for information about who Blaine’s secret mistress is…” she read out loud to convince herself that this didn’t sound bad just in her head only.

As she was thinking about this, someone knocked on her door and thankfully, it wasn’t like at Blaine’s father’s house where she couldn’t lock her doors, so she quickly put away the script and opened the door.

She met a plumb middle-aged woman with the most beautiful and vibrant brown skin she’s ever seen. She was so in awe of how healthy and beautiful the woman looked that she didn’t realize that she was speaking to her.

” Ma’am? I’m your nurse, Eva.” The woman said nervously. Mavis instantly realized that the woman must’ve been aware of the fate of the previous nurses she rejected and she felt so sorry to have made the woman that scared.

” I’m so sorry to make you feel this nervous,” she confessed as she hugged Eva.

Eva on the other hand was perplexed that her new boss’s mistress hugged her. She was expecting a rejection and that meant she would be gotten rid of for knowing too much. She was already briefed about the scandalous affairs of their family and was not allowed to say a word to anyone else.

Being hugged by this woman was so comforting but she was also warned to be professional so she did not hug her back.

” Please sit,” Mavis said cheerfully ushering her in.

” Thank you, how do you feel ma’am?”

” I’m feeling nauseous and frankly I’m weak from all this drama,”

Eva smiled but it wasn’t a genuine one

Mavis could tell.

” Well I’m not a therapist so you don’t need to share that with me however, I need to know everything about how you’re feeling health-wise. Okay?” She asked to which Mavis nodded.

After a successful appointment with the nurse, she ate and went to bed wondering when she will be allowed to leave the house. But just as she was about to close her eyes she heard a shrill scream coming from Isabella’s room.

She wanted to ignore it but the way Isabella was screaming was too alarming to let go. So she got up and ran to Isabella’s room just to find Isabella rushing to wipe the floor that was covered with blood.
