Mavis was only messing with Darla by glaring at her and intended to stop immediately she sees Darla panicking but she got so curious to see how Darla would admit that she really likes Luke so she kept on staring daggers at Darla.

” Mavis… I don’t know how it happened okay? But I swear, I’ve never had any kind of… you know?… inappropriate relations with him.” She said desperately trying to convince Mavis that she never messed with Luke.

” What the hell? None of that sounds believable!” Mavis said, raising her voice a little.

” I know but it’s the truth.”

” What is the truth?” Mavis asked, doing everything within her power to look angry and infuriated at her. Darla just gave up at that point and said ” The truth is that I like your brother”

The second those words came out of her mouth, Mavis and Amy squealed excitedly leaving Darla surprised and confused.

” Umm… what’s going on guys?” She asked.

” Oh my gosh, Darla! I’ve been waiting for the day that you would admit your feelings for Luke.”

” Are you kidding me? I thought you’d kill me”

” Well he’s eighteen now and you’re gonna be twenty in a few months. It’s perfect” Amy said with an encouraging smile.

” If he wasn’t still with whoever that Eva was.” She said, looking a little bit gloomy about it all.

” Really?”

” Of course! I’m talking Eva out and you in!”

Darla couldn’t believe her ears. She didn’t expect Mavis to be this supportive of her. It made her curious as to why Mavis didn’t have a problem with that.

” I’m really glad you approve but, Luke just seems to hit on me for fun. The reason I tried to hide how I felt was that I feel like I feel more for him than he feels for me and I don’t want him to think I’m desperate or anything.” She said, fiddling with her fingers as she thought hard about what Luke thought of her.

” Okay, but you should know that there’s more to Luke than what he outwardly expresses. How about you give Luke a try? We will totally let you do your thing with no interruptions.”

” You want me to ask Luke out?”

” Or just show him that you’re interested in him” Amy suggested.

” Oh… but still, if people saw that s together. You know I look quite mature and he looks so much younger than me in comparison, they would have so much to -”

“- that’s totally fine. Let them speak, it’s your happiness that matters more than anything. Now that we’ve gotten the truth about what you and Luke, I’d like us to talk about a more pressing issue.” Amy said, glancing at Mavis who just sighed and rolled her eyes.

” What happened with Mavis?” Darla asked innocently while Amy became giddy to share the update.

” Take a look at Mavis, do you notice anything strange?”

” Uh… she’s getting chubby because she’s pregnant?”

” Ugh! No not that! Look closely” Amy teased and Darla’s eyes widened when she saw the target.

” Mavis Paige Tremont! Who have you been hooking up with?” She gasped and Mavis frowned because she didn’t like the fact that she indeed did hook up with a man she said she wouldn’t see again.

” My money’s on Blaine” Amy whispered to Darla who just stared at Amy, waiting expectantly for an answer.

” I don’t even know how it happened” Mavis admitted, running her hands through her hair and sighing again.

” So tell us everything”

” I went to see my mother and when I got there, Blaine was with her. It seems she was trying to seduce him while pretending to be interested in some business with him. I mean, I saw that he was uncomfortable with her yet I just got mad at him.

Anyway, I didn’t speak to Blaine. I just confronted my Mom about the loan she borrowed with this Estate as collateral and she denied knowing it”

” There’s no way she didn’t know”

” Exactly, Darla, exactly! Anyway, we got into an argument and I… I mean, it was pretty early in the morning so I vomited. She knew I was pregnant and Blaine suspected the baby was his. It’s just, she kept mocking me and saying I’d be a terrible mother but Blaine kept defending me on the way back here and one thing led to another, we had… it wasn’t sex per se but what’s important is that he made me believe something I’ve tried so hard to get myself to – that I’m nothing like my mother. That’s why I’m thinking of keeping the baby.”

” Really?” They both asked, looking shocked and appalled.

” Yeah, I got rid of the first one because Damien asked me to and it didn’t even take a month, he dumped me. I can take care of this one, I know I can.”

” But wouldn’t this make you, Blaine’s mistress? You’ve always hated that type of thing because that’s what your Mom does for a living.”

” Yeah, no shit” Mavis said.

” But, I’m raising the baby without Blaine’s help,” she said but they didn’t say anything to her.

At night that same day, Blaine had gotten home and was about to have a bath when his phone rang. He didn’t want to answer this call because he knew that the outcome would lead to him dabbling in things he had withdrawn himself from for years.

” What do you want?”

” Ah… Miguel, did you forget about your family so soon? I’ve been looking all over for you you know.” He heard Pedro, his brother say with so much spite in his voice.

” You thought you could travel somewhere and be some billionaire after duping Papa huh? It’s alright. I’m in London and I’m checking out this Estate that’s for sale by a certain Mavis Tremont? I really like that place and I’ve bought it for all of us to stay.” He said and hung up immediately.

Blaine’s hands were shaking because he knew that his past has finally caught up with him and it would ruin everything he’s managed to accomplish and the worst part is that all the people he loves will suffer for it, including Mavis and his unborn child!
