Blaine watched as his father walked away along with his men and Isabella. If anyone told him that he would be back in this hell hole of a life with his father he wouldn’t have believed it. Now all he has to do is… well, he wanted to talk to Mavis and comfort her but when he glanced over his shoulders, he saw that she was crying in Luke’s arms.

He knew their lives wouldn’t be easy and they knew that too but since all of this was happening to them because of him, it was his responsibility to fix it and that was what he would do. But he can’t do any of that without first bowing a little lower to his father. After doing that then he will strike. First, he has to get this wedding over with.

The wedding was held at a large hall in one of Blaine’s father’s event centers and he was so tired of the whole thing before it even started because the people there were too much as far as he was concerned. Isabella didn’t look happy even after the deal had been done and after they had said their vows. Not that he wanted her to be happy about the wedding, he actually ensured that she realized that he wanted nothing to do with her, yet seeing her sad made him somewhat pity her.

” Congratulations!” He heard a woman say and turned to look at who said that and it was Victoria!

” Is this some kind of joke? What are you doing here?” He asked while she just placed a gift near the pile of gifts that were already beside where he and Isabella sat as newlywed couples.

” You literally threatened me to come,” she said smiling from ear to ear as some people took photos of her and Blaine.

” I didn’t that’s my father’s doing,” Blaine said while still looking at Victoria. Damn, she looked amazing in that blue gown but he looked away before people start making theories that will put him under more scrutiny with her annoying fans. Not that she was that popular anyway, she’s barely even up to a million followers on any of her social media accounts. Still, he didn’t want any rumors sparking about him and her getting together again. He hasn’t forgotten how she cheated on him.

” Whatever. He’s making me stay here in your new apartment, what’s that about even?” She said while still pretending to be smiling. By now Isabella was already giving her suspicious glares because she could see that Blaine was most definitely looking at Victoria with a slight hint of desire.

” What?” Blaine said a little too loudly before he quickly played it off and laughed as if Victoria said something very funny.

” It’s ridiculous right?” Victoria said I don’t understand what any of this means but it’s not looking good for me. My career is gonna suffer from this, I can’t make blockbuster Hollywood movies here in Columbia.

” Uh… we both know that no one wants to hire you anymore. You’re just a turnoff.” Blaine said and she glared at him.

” I don’t want to be here!”

” Then leave!” Isabella hissed while also pretending to be interested in their fake pleasant conversion. Like Victoria, she was grinning as well while talking with her teeth clenched. Blaine wondered how they were doing this.

” Do you two realize how pathetic you look? Just go Victoria. We’ll talk later I don’t even understand why this reception is taking forever.” Blaine said while Victoria shot a glare at Blaine and then Isabella before she left.

His father appeared out of nowhere and stood up, ” I have a toast to make!” He announced and Blaine’s head shot up. He knew something ominous was about to happen because of the tone in his father’s voice just now.

” What is it now?” He muttered as he watched his father’s smile turn into a smirk as he said. ” I want to congratulate my son for going overseas and doing so well as a businessman and now he’s back to settle in Columbia. Now he’s married to his long-time love, Isabella, I wish him all the best and I would love to advise him to always heed my advice as my advice has led him thus far. In the meantime let’s enjoy the rest of the day!” He said, shocking Blaine because he really expected his father to say something to extremely provoke him but that didn’t happen. Asides from the ” listen to my advice that has brought you thus far” part, everything seems harmless.

Blaine sighed and just watched as everyone seemed to be happy about this wedding more than he himself. The moment the wedding was concluded, he left the reception hall with Isabella. He held her hand in his and was gentle with her because even if he doesn’t want to be her husband he had no desire of treating her like a slave of some sort.

He helped her get into the car and after acknowledging some more congratulatory wishes he sighed and got ready to join Isabella in the car only for him to get a notification on his phone from his father.

” The next step is giving me an heir. You know what to do, Isabella is ready so don’t delay this any further.” He read on his phone and almost smashed it to the ground. Remembering how many important things are on his phone he shut his eyes and took a deep breath.

” You never said anything about me consummating the marriage. Isabella is barely nineteen. It’s still too weird to me. I will not be consummating anything.” He responded in text.

” Yes, you will. You owe me your life” his father replied almost immediately.

” Fuck” he cursed before he got in the car and left. On the drive back home, he started fabricating a thousand and one ways to get rid of his father so that he could live a better life on his own or with someone he loves. But suddenly, he realized why he can’t make a good plan. He doesn’t know his father’s full plan either. If he knows every step his father is going to take then he will know exactly how to counter his father. The only way to get through to his father sadly is Isabella. He takes her as a daughter and will do whatever she wants or tell her anything she asks. If Blaine is going to get Isabella to get such information from his father and even her father then he must pretend to love her.

That way she will trust him and she will give him all the information he needs. But Mavis won’t understand, she may even hate him forever but Blaine knew this was what he had to do, not just something he wants to do for the fun of it. In the end when he succeeds everyone will benefit from it especially Mavis and her family.

That’s what he wants most. For Mavis to be happy while carrying his child. He doesn’t want her to suffer anymore and even if she won’t understand the things he will do from now on, he will still go through with his plan.
