“Okay, that’s not an issue, please can you go over to my place alongside Claire, please I need you to take care of her”

“Anything for you bro, hey girl, you will come with me, Alex will meet us at home”

Claire just stared at Alex, short of words, nothing to do than to just leave the scene, “Okay, can I call you Emily please ?” “yeah, sure, that’s my name so why not?”

“You know my brother is really in love with you” Emily started a conversation as they left the room heading to the car, “He never slept since high school, he said a girl she loved humiliated him and that haunted his dream, I vowed to take revenge for him when I was young” they both laughed as the driver drove off

Emily’s voice got louder and she asked the driver to pull over “looking at you right now sickens me, so get down the car right now, how dare you do that to my brother?”

“I’m sorry, and please I didn’t mean to, also do not be.. erm..” Emily busted into laughter, “you are so naive, just kidding, let’s go”

Claire gave a relieved sigh and a little smile, she then faced Emily and said “What can I do to make mother accept me?”

“How? What do you mean? Do you think we are pushovers here? No one is really ready to accept you, we want to solve this just because of my brother and the company”

Claire this time readjusting her seat, “I’m sorry” she mutters, Emily laughed so loud this time, “you don’t have to worry about that, we will settle that, just focus on making Alex happy, okay?”

“Thanks Emily.”

Alex after some thought and head booting called out to Daniel “Buddy, I’m on my way to the Villa” “you mean your mom’s” Daniel responded

“Yeah, have your phone on always, we are on timer, we must settle this all before 9:00am tomorrow, Mr Collins won’t be easy tomorrow”. Alex said as he left the room

Alex on getting to his mom’s villa, called out his parents “Mom, Dad, I’m here”

“Here comes my son, who casts me out of my company because of a woman”. Mrs Reynolds voiced out her claim as she rushed down the stairs and sat on the sofa

“Is this what I get for raising you? Disgrace? You were not like this, nowhere close to this attitude, not until this girl came into your life”.

“Mom, first is that, this girl, you mean Claire, yeah, she is the one who helped me overcome what your doctor’s couldn’t do, for years I couldn’t sleep but it was possible because of Claire” Alex defended her claim

“But we already paid that, her mom is getting treated thanks to our hospital” Mrs Reynolds laid her claim again

“Mom, I paid for that I own 20% shares in your hospital, VisionTech holds 15%, my money speaks in the hospital, what have you done to the lady who makes your son peaceful, nothing but war just war” Alex responded

“You leaked the data in her name on her desk, you spread the scandal, you also manipulated her dad to take over the company” Alex said furiously

“What are you saying, son?” Mrs Reynolds, currently speechless, muttered those words with so much humility and cool voice.

“You knew who Claire was from the very beginning, that’s why you did all those things and also you hired Maria as your henchmen” Alex responded

“Who did what?” James came in.

“Honey, I don’t understand what Alex is saying, I never did all these?” Mrs Reynolds defends herself.

Alex couldn’t take in what his mother is doing, she’s not being truthful. “Fine we will get to know soon, but I hope we get to know before it is too late, for now, I want you to bring out the contract and we have it done away with, Mom broke the contract first.”

Mrs Reynolds responded with confidence this time “That won’t happen, I won’t bring the contract”

“Well, that just proved that it’s in your hands then, cause it was stolen from us and you just claim you have it” Alex stood up and decided to leave

James turned to his wife “are these things true? Don’t tell me it’s true”

“Are you talking about this Alex?” He stretched a file to Alex.

“Yes, Dad, this is it, taking hold of the contract alone is a foul play, mom, but now you are even denying the fact that you did this.” Alex faced his mom with utter disappointment

Mr James Reynolds unable to contain this though he knows about this but must act safe in front of his wife responded “But, that night when you brought this file, I asked you why do you have it, you said Alex gave you the file, you’ve always been like this, too obsessive even on things that doesn’t or shouldn’t matter to you”

Alex tore the contract, “nothing binds Claire in this agreement again, Mom and Dad I will take my leave now, It’s not your business if my life get scattered or if my company collapse but it is your business if I marry Claire or not, well that’s well defined, you are trying to hide your previous deeds” he stormed out of the room and stated at his phone it’s 2:30pm

He called Mr Chang “Hello, Mr chang, can you please tell me, if there’s a way possible wherewith we can make sure the person who did the data leak receive a very low punishment sir?”
