The Divorced Heiress’s Revenge

Chapter 2162

Camilla nuzzled Bella's cheek and whined, "When will you save us both a headache? Stop putting yourself in danger."

“This is the last time. I won't do it again." Bella stuck her tongue out cheekily.Content © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.

"I can't let you stay at the hotel, so you're staying with us. Only the palace and the president's house are the safest." Edward smiled tenderly, still the elegant gentleman he was.

His few strands of silver hair were a testament to the countless hours he had spent laboring and worrying as the leader of a nation.

"Edward suggested you stay with us, and I can't agree more."

Camilla looked lovingly at her husband. "Edward doesn't show it, but he misses you all."

Touched, Bella sniffled. "Thank you, Edward."

Justin was moved. "I appreciate your concern, Edward."

"We're family. Now is the time we should be there for one another more than ever." Edward drew close, hugged his wife, and looked deep into her eyes.

Though they had been married for a long time, they remained in love just as the first time they got together.

"I'm so envious of your marriage, Camilla."

Asher sipped on tea and smiled widely. "Dad and Aunt Mila have been worried since you moved to Sentania. At least I can go back and tell them that they have nothing to worry about."

"Camilla is the love of my life."

Despite his power, Edward remained humble. Like always, he treated the Thompsons with respect. "I will always remember the butterflies in my stomach when I first met her. I remember everything we went through during our relationship and marriage. I will always remember it and cherish Camilla."

Camilla, the first wife of Sentania, blushed and snuggled in Edward's arms.

No matter how high he rose, Edward remained true to Camila.

Justin pursed his lips, feeling the burden as the Thompsons' next son-in-law.

“Please put in a good word for me once you get back to Hatchbay and see your parents. Edward grinned embarrassedly. Even in his forties, Edward still had a lot to learn about love.

Asher nodded in relief and teased, "Of course. You can count on me, Mr. President."

Edward did not know how to react. "Give me a break."

The arrival of family members filled the solemn president's abode with warmth.

However, everybody knew that it was just the calm before the storm.

Edward called the captain of the secret service and police chief over to have a meeting with Justin and Asher regarding tomorrow's mission. Though Drew had arrived in Sentania, he was nowhere to be found.

Bella understood that Drew was under a lot of stress.

Drew needed to cool his head and have zero distractions to face an imminent crisis.

Bella may look relaxed, but she was filled with jitters too.

Somehow she wandered to the study with the door left ajar. Ough the crack, she saw Camilla tidying up the piled documents on Edward's desk.

"Camilla." In the presence of family, Bella forgot she was in the heavily secured president's house ande stepped into the study. "What are you doing?"

"I was just sorting things out for Edward, Bella." Camilla, a devoted wife, carried on the task at hand.

She would be wary and cautious in the face of others, but Bella was family. She trusted Bella completely.

"I'll help you." Bella rolled up her sleeves and went to tidy the books on the coffee table.

"Thank you."

Camilla smiled wryly. "Edward

excels in everything he does, except when it comes to taking care of himself. He broke the washing machine and nearly set the kitchen on fire. If I ever take my eyes away from him for one second, he can button up his shirt wrongly for an event."

"He has a lot on his mind, serving the country and the people. With so much going on, he doesn't have much attention for anything else." Suddenly, Bella paused and glanced at the bottom stack of papers under a book.

Curious, Bella reached out to pull the papers out.
