The Divorcee and Her Three Chaotic Children (Olivia Clarke and William)

Chapter 153

Chapter 153

When Olivia opened her eyes again, she found herself lying in the hospital laboratory.

The surroundings were filled with the smell of disinfectant. It was quiet.

She struggled to get up, only to find that there was an IV drip inserted in the back of her hand.

What happened to her?

She remembered that she seemed to have fainted…

Olivia’s mind was in a mess. She didn’t remember what had happened after she fainted.

Just as she was trying hard to figure out what had happened to her, a furry little head rubbed against

her side, and quickly

climbed onto the bed. He looked at her with his big eyes full of excitement.

“Mom, you’re awake! Are you feeling unwell? Daddy has gone to prepare something to eat for you. If

you’re hungry, I have some chocolate milk that has just been warmed up. You can have it.”

Ezra quickly took out a box of hot chocolate milk from his small schoolbag and put it in a straw for

Olivia thoughtfully.

“Don’t worry, Ezra. I’m fine.” Olivia reached out and patted the little boy’s head weakly.

“But you fainted and bled a lot!” Ezra stretched out his small hand to hug Olivia’s neck. His tone was

full of worry.

“I am just too tired from climbing during the day. I’ll be fine after resting for a while.”

“Really?”

“Of course. I wouldn’t lie to you, Ezra.”

“Humph, isn’t it common for adults to lie to children?”

“Well… Ezra, I’m still sick now.”

“All right. You have to get better soon then. I’ll be here with you all the time!” Ezra said in a soft and

aggrieved voice, as he lay his head down on Olivia’s body.

Olivia patted him on the back gently. In order not to let the boy worry any longer, she took the initiative

to ask for a sip of Ezra’s chocolate milk.

Ezra got Olivia a pillow to lean against carefully. Then, he sat next to her and hugged her arm, refusing

to let go.

The door of the ward was suddenly pushed open. When William saw that Olivia had woken up, his dark

eyes lit up instantly. He strode toward her, without noticing the cold air around him from outside.

“Olivia, you’re awake. Fortunately, you don’t have a fever anymore.” William approached Olivia

nervously and reached out to feel her forehead.

“These are the pancakes I made. You must be hungry. Have some first. I’ll call Reed and Jameson over

later.” Seeing that Olivia didn’t have a fever anymore, William seemed to be secretly relieved.

He opened the thermal lunch box in his hand, which contained pancakes and warm milk, as well as

Olivia’s favorite cereal. Property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

However, for some reason, Olivia clearly felt that William’s hands were trembling.

Was it because it was cold outside? Or was there something wrong with her body?

For a moment, Olivia let her imagination run wild. She reached out without thinking and grabbed

William’s trembling hands.

“Is something wrong, William?” Olivia looked at him, her eyes full of confusion.

William could not help but be stunned. Then, he relaxed.

“I’ve never warmed milk before, so you should make do,” William said as he opened the bottom layer of

the lunch box. Soon enough, a very obvious burnt smell wafted out.

Olivia held her breath subconsciously and felt suffocated again immediately.

“Are you trying to poison me while I’m sick, William?” Olivia teased him mercilessly.

“Daddy, I can’t help you this time. I’ll go find get Uncle Smith first!” Ezra had never expected that his

scu mbag father would suddenly make such a move, so he covered his nose and ran away without

caring about his feelings.

“Uh… I consulted the maids at home. She said that I could put some honey in it. It’s very nutritious. I

did as she said, but the stove must have been too hot. I promise I didn’t poison it.” William held a small

bowl and a spoon in his slender and

fair fingers. He blew on the milk he had scooped up carefully before offering it to Olivia.

“Come on, open up…” Meanwhile, William was patient, considerate, and extremely gentle.

This was a scene that Olivia longed for in the past.

But just then, another image popped up in her mind. It was as if William was coaxing her to take

poison!

As soon as this scene appeared, Olivia suddenly had goosebumps all over her body.

“No, I don’t want to!” Olivia shouted subconsciously.

When she met William’s injured eyes, she changed the topic immediately.

“Well, I’d better have some pancakes. You make the best pancakes. I like it very much!”

Olivia flattered him and flashed him a beautiful but fake smile.

Fortunately, although her smile was fake, it successfully drove away the resentment in William’s eyes.

William put down the milk in his hands reluctantly and handed Olivia the small tray with the pancakes in

it.

He was even thoughtful enough to prepare a fork and maple syrup for her.

William was being so considerate that Olivia couldn’t help but feel a little embarra**ed.

Olivia took a closer look and found that the pancakes seemed safe to eat, so she took a bite with relief.

It really had an amazing taste!

She was indeed a little hungry!

“Olivia.”

“Hmm?” Olivia, who was enjoying the pancakes, replied casually.

“Did you

suffer a lot when you were away from home in the past few years?” William asked suddenly, which left

Olivia, who was enjoying her pancakes, stunned.

She stopped chewing but soon returned to normal.

“It’s okay. Since I survived, the rest of my life is a blessing for me. How hard could it be?” Olivia looked

at William with a sweet smile.

“I…” Seeing that she was so relaxed as if she was telling someone else’s story, William suddenly felt

for her.

His heart ached so much that he felt suffocated.

He opened his mouth, but no words came out.

sorry

He wanted to apologize to her and say that it was all his fault. But so what? She was the one who had

survived and suffered all these years, and now…

“You’re finally awake, Liv! You scared me to death!”

At this time, Chelsea rushed into the ward and hugged Olivia. Her eyes were red, and it was obvious

that she had cried.

“I’m fine, but if you don’t let go of me, something will happen to my pancakes.” Olivia tried her best to

support the tray in her hands so that the pancakes wouldn’t fall.

She was having a hard time doing so!

“Okay, okay, you heartless girl. In the past, no one was as important as William to you in the past. Now,

even though I’m so worried about you, I can’t even compare to your pancakes. Don’t tell me that

William made these pancakes, I’m afraid I can’t accept it!”

“Uh, Chelsea, William indeed made the pancakes… It tastes really good. Do you want to try it?”
