The Invincible Arthur Gardner

Chapter 33 - All Limited Purchases

Chapter 33 - All Limited Purchases

Arthur was accustomed to running in the morning; more specifically, he was forced to run since his

home and workplace were too far apart, and he often lacked the money to take public transportation,

so he had no choice but to travel on foot. NôvelDrama.Org owns all © content.

That habit proved difficult to break for him, even though he had completely transformed into a wealthy

person. Despite it being winter, he still continued with his regular routine, and due to his improved

physical condition, he felt that running in the morning was effortless. It doesn't make him sweat a bit.

Arthur currently resides in the bustling city center, where a plethora of malls and luxury shops line the

streets. Recalling he lacked the tech gadgets he was sporting, Arthur decided to stop at a celebrated

gadget product store that sells a vast selection of gadgets, ranging from smartphones and laptops to

smartwatches and earphones. "Let's check it out," he said.

Arthur stepped into the store, eliciting suspicious gazes from the onlookers. He surveyed the array of

smartphones spread across the desk, a wide selection of the latest models and features, and the

realization dawned on him that he could purchase anything he desired. "Perhaps I ought to acquire

every item there is?" he muttered to himself.

"Hey, look," the saleswoman said to her friend, gesturing towards Arthur as he stepped into the shop,

"there's a handsome man."

Her colleague replied, "He's just a guy who went out for a morning jog and happened to take a look at

the goods in this shop; he doesn't really intend to purchase anything, so just ignore him."

Another one observed, "He's checking out the priciest items here; it's probably just a show of bravado,

trying to make it look like he can afford something, but I think it's likely he'll leave without buying

anything."

"Sure, sure, I agree; it's still early, so just let him have a look and don't mind him," the other said.

Arthur glanced over at the salesmen who were gathered to one side, wondering why they were just

standing there and not offering their assistance. "Do I need to call them over?" he asked, his curiosity

piqued as he wondered about the various products on display in the store. He was looking for some

help in selecting a suitable new smartphone or even a smartwatch that he could use for activities and

sports.

"Hey, look!" one person exclaimed, "He's checking us out. Should we offer to help him?"

"Nah, just ignore him," the other replied dismissively. "He's ogling a limited edition phone that's priced

at an astonishing ten grand. Do you think he'll actually buy it?"

"No chance," the other scoffed. "He's just daydreaming. There's no way he could ever afford it."

"Sure, if you're keen on wasting your time on customers who don't stand a chance of buying, then be

my guest," the first person said sarcastically.

"Yeah, I mean, someone who can afford that kind of item wouldn't come here wearing nothing but

running clothes," the second person added.

Even though the salesmen were speaking in hushed tones from afar, Arthur, with his enhanced

hearing, was able to make out their conversation, particularly when they were in a confined space.

Arthur approached them with determined steps and asked, "Could you help me choose the most

expensive items from all these gadgets? I would like to get every limited edition one if possible."

"Sir, excuse me?" The salesman sounded surprised by Arthur's words, and he was instantly annoyed

that the man in front of him appeared to be mocking his temper. "Are you serious? You want to

purchase all the limited edition items in this store that cost at least 10 thousand dollars?"

"Yes," Arthur nodded affirmatively, "I'm searching for the most durable items that I can use for an

extended period of time; this includes smartphones, laptops, smartwatches, earphones, headphones,

and any other type of electronic device."

The salesman trembled upon hearing Arthur's words, "Is he serious?" he thought. He nervously walked

over to the glass shelf, where the store's limited edition items were displayed, and showed them to

Arthur.

"You can buy all of this stuff, for a total of about 200 thousand dollars," he said, smiling faintly. He was

certain Arthur would leave after being so shocked to hear the total price he had to pay, despite his

earlier bravado.

"Alright," Arthur nodded. "I'll pay for everything and I'll need your help to open all these boxes so I can

carry them away easily." He then walked over to a corner, where a variety of accessories were

displayed. "I'd also like to purchase that backpack too," he said. "Please put all the items I bought in it."

Arthur then strolled over to the cashier and promptly paid for all of his purchases, generating a stir

among the salespeople, who were curious to discover the mystery shopper's identity.

"Sir, are you sure you want to discard all these boxes and warranty cards?" the salesman asked.

"Yes," Arthur replied casually, "I'm sure; I don't need that warranty card. After all, as long as you are still

selling similar items, I can simply buy the same one again, should my current one become damaged."

Arthur was delighted to finally have his own laptop, equipped with the latest technology, to eventually

use for managing the business he was about to start. Even though he had the funds, he was not about

to waste his money; he was determined to create a venture that he could run himself.

Apart from that, Arthur's dream of owning a new smartphone had become a reality; in his hands was a

limited edition phone decorated with diamonds in several parts. "Ch, what a weird way to bump up the

price of a product," he thought.

He also purchased a smartwatch and earphones that he could use during his morning jog and

workouts. Additionally, the store had a variety of other gadgets to choose from.

Arthur carefully inspected his new smartwatch, admiring its sturdy and sophisticated construction as

well as its smooth appearance and user interface. He was particularly impressed with its ability to

measure his running speed and heart rate. "Interesting," he muttered to himself.

"Alright," Arthur said, slinging his new backpack onto his back. He gave the salesmen a satisfied smirk

and strode out of the shop, leaving them wide-eyed in surprise.

"I guess he must be really wealthy," the salesperson mused. "I really should stop judging people just by

their appearances."

"Not only that," they continued, "but I've already managed to hit my daily sales goal before the morning

is even over, thanks to the first customer!"

"I wonder who that person was?" they wondered aloud.

When Arthur started running back towards the hotel he was staying at, at the corner, he abruptly halted

when he noticed five people blocking his way. Unnerved, he was soon surrounded by them and forced

to come to a standstill.
