Chapter 47 - Two Divine Beauties
Chapter 47 - Two Divine Beauties
Edna perched herself on the wooden chair, which was adorned with soft cushions, situated on the back
balcony of the villa she and Arthur were occupying. She gazed out towards the pool in front of her and
listened to the tranquil sound of the water cascading from one side; the water was still warm despite
the chilly night air, yet still pleasant enough for a pleasant bathing experience.
She paused to take in the serene scene before her, the lake glimmering in the distance, its lights
twinkling like stars, and the towering buildings illuminated on the opposite shore. A peaceful
atmosphere surrounded her, enveloping her in the sense of tranquility.
The night sky on that small island was especially clear due to the lack of light pollution compared to the
city. An array of stars twinkled, painting a breathtaking and unforgettable scene across the sky.
Her phone was ringing, and when she checked it, she received a video from Alpha, one of Arthur's
bodyguards. "Hmmm, what could this be?" she wondered as she opened the video. Her face lit up with
a warm smile as soon as she saw the contents.
Edna slowly moved her head from side to side, enjoying the duet of Claudina and Arthur from the
video. Arthur's piano accompaniment perfectly complemented the singing, and she couldn't help but be
impressed.
"I didn't expect that my boss could also sing and play the piano," she muttered under her breath. Her
face lit up with enthusiasm as she watched their performance. "It really is a very perfect performance,"
she exclaimed.
Edna leaned back against the comfy cushion of the wooden chair, and her eyes closed as the beautiful
sound of their performance wafted through her air. "It's really very beautiful," she sighed, marveling at
their talent. "I'm sure a lot of people will love it if they perform in front of a crowd," she added, picturing
the audience's awe.
Edna opened her eyes wide in surprise when she felt someone lean on the long chair next to her.
Looking to her left, she saw Arthur and Claudina had taken a seat.
"Boss, Claudina...." Edna said, her eyes widening even more. "You startled me!"
Claudina smiled sweetly and waved her hand, sitting next to Arthur on his left. "Hi Edna," she said.
"Were you listening to Arthur's beautiful piano playing and singing?" © 2024 Nôv/el/Dram/a.Org.
"Yes!" Edna replied, her enthusiasm evident. "I didn't expect when I left you two that you'd be putting on
another magnificent show!" She said, then chuckled sweetly.
"I think the one who deserves to be blamed here is Arthur himself," Claudina added, equally
enthusiastic. "I myself didn't expect him to be able to sing a song that I composed, which I even
showed him once."
The two girls then draped their arms around Arthur's thighs, chatting and exchanging stories, smiling
and laughing at each other. The atmosphere, which had been quiet and somber with just Edna,
suddenly brightened and became much more cheerful.
Arthur leaned back and revealed in the moment as the two girls to his sides chattered and bantered
with one another. He felt as if his life was complete; now he was surrounded by people who were kind
and genuine towards him. He felt blessed to be in the company of these two wonderful girls.
"Claudina..." Edna continued, her face full of enthusiasm. "Why don't you also stay here with us at the
villa?" she offered enthusiastically.
Claudina was immediately taken aback, and she blushed, unable to hide her surprise. "What? You
mean, the two of you and me staying in this villa?"
"Yes! Isn't it a great idea?" Edna said, still enthusiastic.
"Yes, Claudina, there are plenty of rooms here in the villa, you can use one if you'd like." Arthur cut in,
sensing the misunderstanding.
Those three were engaged in a cheerful conversation, unaware of the figure observing them.
"Kha ha ha ha....." From a distant corner of the area, someone cackled. He was hiding in the bushes
and taking photos of the three of them.
"I'm positive I'll make a pretty penny with these shots!" the man declared with glee, envisioning the
amount of money he could make from the photos.
The man shook his head in disbelief, asking, "Claudina, an idol of many men in the world, is actually
part of a complicated love triangle? Is she in this relationship willingly, or is she being pressured?"
He then lowered his voice and continued, "If her fans find out, this guy's life will be ruined. I'm almost
tempted to go teach him a lesson myself. What an arrogant bastard to think he can get close to her like
that... yet I can't help but admire her beauty."
The man then took pictures of Edna, grumbling, "What a perfect girl. Am I seeing things?" He snapped
away, murmuring, "I'll make a fortune off of these shots."
Suddenly, a person dressed in black appeared behind the man and swiftly grabbed the camera out of
his hand.
"Wait, what? Who are you?" he shouted, his voice rising with each word. "Give me back my camera,
you bastard!"
Alpha, Arthur's bodyguard, merely smiled and beckoned to his other colleagues. "Take this man away,"
he ordered, before adding, "Drag him, if need be."
Not willing to go so easily, the man screamed, "Hey, you asshole, let me go! Give me back my camera,
you bastard!" He attempted to free himself, but three of Alpha's large associates held him firmly in
place.
Alpha lowered his face to meet the man's gaze and spoke in a firm and even tone. "I must warn you:
leave this place immediately, delete all the photos from your camera or I will make you regret it for the
rest of your life for your disrespect towards my boss," he said.
"No! Are you serious? What gives you the right to do this? I'll make sure you all regret this! Let me go
and give me back my camera!" he shrieked, still trying to break free.
"Okay, you asked for it," Alpha replied coolly, his grip firm as he crushed the camera in his hand and
the pieces fell onto the snow-covered ground. He then wordlessly collected the memory card, placing
them securely in his coat pocket.
Alpha and the others then released their captive, who crumpled to the ground, remorseful for his
actions.
"No, why did they destroy my camera.... No....." he sobbed.
