The Invincible Arthur Gardner

Chapter 98 - Breaking Boundaries

Chapter 98 - Breaking Boundaries

Arthur opened the door to the room, and as soon as he stepped inside, the light automatically switched

on. The room was lined with several neatly arranged computers on one side, and on the other side,

there was a room containing a large machine that served as a data processing server.

Arthur allowed Fan Tian to enter, then quietly said, “I've set up this room for you to conduct your

research with the technology you're refining.”

Fan Tian, who had only ever been able to dream of having such a complete facility, was left

momentarily speechless when he saw all the technology that Arthur had prepared for him.

“Mr. Gardner, this is a lot of equipment – and it's all top of the line!” Tian exclaimed, only further

impressed by the fact that Arthur had kept all his promises exactly.

"Great. Let's get everything set up so you can start using all the facilities as soon as possible," Arthur

replied.

Several minutes later, having transferred all the data he used to develop his Artificial Intelligence

technology, Fan Tian and Arthur sat in front of a large computer screen. Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.

"So, how long will it take you to complete your research, Mr. Fan Tian?" Arthur asked.

“Please, just call me by my name, Mr. Gardner," Tian replied.

"Ah, okay," Arthur acknowledged.

Tian then continued, “I need a powerful machine such as the one you have provided so that my

artificial intelligence training process can go quickly. But there is still one problem that I haven't been

able to solve yet and it looks like it will take me another two to four months to find a solution.”

Arthur paused to listen to Fan Tian's explanation, gazing at the computer screen in front of him. Of

course, he didn't understand what Tian was discussing; he had only recently begun learning about

computers and lacked the knowledge of such advanced technology. "What is he talking about?" he

thought.

[Host, would you like to inquire about the set of skills you need so you can assist with Mr. Fan Tian?]

Arthur paused for a moment, considering the system's offer. "Okay," he finally said. "Please tell me,

what skills do I need, System?"

[My analysis suggests that you need Programming skills in order to be able to work with computer

coding, read all the research that has been done by Mr. Fan Tian, and gain a better understanding of

Artificial Intelligence. Additionally, Logic skills are necessary for you to be able to formulate and solve

problems related to AI.]

Arthur nodded slowly, his gaze lingering on the VIP Points displayed in his system. "I think I have

enough points for now," he said, "190. I don't think using a few to unlock these two high-demand skills

will have a detrimental effect on me."

He took a deep breath, and after giving it some thought, he decided. "System, unlock Programming

with 30 VIP points. I want to make sure I unlock the full potential of this very valuable skill, and I'll use

another 20 points on Logic."

[Alright, host, please enjoy the new world with your new abilities – abilities that perhaps only a few

humans on Earth can master optimally.]

[Skills - 8]

[Programming - 30 (Expert)]

[Logic - 20 (Advanced)]

Instantly, Arthur felt his head become a little dizzy as millions of information rushed into his mind.

Normally, he felt very composed, but now his head was swarming with various kinds of information that

he wanted to process with the newly acquired skill. "What's going on?" he wondered out loud.

It was the first time he had unlocked the skill to its full potential, and it was as if he had been

transformed into a new being, with an influx of knowledge flooding into his consciousness.

The feeling was distinctively different compared to when he unlocked skills that required physical

movement, such as driving and shooting. Programming and Logic skills, on the other hand, seemed to

consume his whole mind's capacity.

Arthur suddenly felt nauseous, as if his mind was overwhelmed by the sudden influx of knowledge.

"System," he said, his voice weak, "I think I need to upgrade my mental capacity if I want to keep up

with these two new skills I've just learned."

Arthur slowly nodded, realizing that investing in upgrading his Mind ability was a decision he would

never regret.

"Alright," he said softly, "I'll use 30 VIP points to upgrade my Mind."

[Alright, host, your wish is my command.]

[Host: Arthur Gardner]

Instantly, Arthur felt something he had never experienced before - his mind, previously so heavy that it

almost made him faint, suddenly felt as if it had expanded to a much greater size. With this newfound

clarity, he was able to see a way to overcome the obstacle ahead of him - The Underworld. He felt

confident he knew how to use his resources to solve it optimally.

Arthur paused, smiling and nodding slowly in satisfaction.

[Host, with a Mind of 85, you are already part of a select few humans throughout history who have

attained the intelligence you currently possess. What's more, you can even increase it to 100 or more,

making you even more remarkable.]

"Thank you, System," Arthur responded. "I never even dreamed that something like this was attainable.

Now, with the upgrade I just received, I feel like a completely different person."

Fan Tian, who had been observing Arthur with studious silence, was still quiet, as it seemed that Arthur

was deep in thought. After a few moments, he summoned the courage to inquire, "Mr. Gardner, may I

be of assistance in any way?"

"Eh!" Arthur finally replied to Tian's query. "Ah, no, no... Alright, now let's take a look at the issue you're

having with your AI research, Tian," he said, gesturing to the computer screen.

Tian nodded and reluctantly turned to the screen, trying to explain the issue. "Mr. Gardner, I'm not sure

if I can articulate the problem I'm having... I mean..."

Tian didn't want to embarrass Arthur for attempting to explain such a complex matter to him, so he

hesitated and thought hard about how to word it for someone unfamiliar with the world of programming

and computers.

"You don't need to worry, please go ahead and explain the problem in detail," Arthur offered, then

paused. "I have studied programming before, so hopefully I can be of some help."

"Ah, okay, Mr. Gardner," Tian replied.

Tian immediately began to explain the problem in greater detail to Arthur, not hesitating for a moment.

Every now and then, he glanced over to Arthur, who appeared to be paying close attention.

"So, the issue is because you have limited data?" Arthur inquired.

Tian suddenly became quiet when Arthur asked him that question. As an Artificial Intelligence

researcher, who had dedicated many years to this field, he fully comprehended that the field he was

studying was not something that could be easily comprehended. However, Arthur seemed to grasp the

issues he was facing with just one explanation.

“Ah, Mr. Gardner.... Yes, I am having a challenge with limited data.”

Tian then turned to Arthur with profound admiration. “How did you manage to understand everything I

said so quickly?”

"Ah yes," Arthur responded calmly, "I was just guessing, but if it is indeed the problem with the data, I

believe I can help you solve this problem more swiftly."

Tian was completely taken aback and, as if his mind had stopped, he couldn't believe that the

incredibly intricate issue he was dealing with had actually been comprehended by Arthur Gardner,

someone he never would have imagined had such an extensive understanding of Artificial Intelligence.

He shook his head once more and a smile finally graced his face. "Mr. Gardner," he said, voice

apologetic, "I'm amazed you were able to understand the difficulty I'm facing so easily. I'm sorry for ever

doubting you."
