“It’s okay Maddie, it’s okay”

Diaz assured, stroking her silky, long hair.

“It’s okay now.”

He repeated but didn’t hear a word from Maddie.

He stared at her and discovered she was sleeping.

“You can leave Henry.”

He ordered and Henry left the room full of smiles.

Diaz carefully dropped Maddie on the bed covering her properly before making an attempt to stand up but Maddie tight grip on his arms dragged him back on the bed and his eyes darted to her face once again to find her green hazel eyes flunged open.

“Please stay with me Master, don’t leave me alone.”

She pleaded, her green eyes pleadingly staring at him and he sighed.

“I won’t leave you alone Maddie, I promise, just have some sleep.”

He promised, staring at her face before wiping the tears from her eyes with his thumb.

“Thank you.”

She muttered with a huge smile on her face .

She asked herself, finally drifted off to sleep.

“I will be here once you open your eyes Maddie, I won’t let that monster harm you again.”

Maddie was woken up by the gentle breeze which blew across her body and a gentle gasp escaped her lips as she looked around the room searching for something or more like someone.

Her eyes finally landed on someone sleeping peacefully on the chair beside her bed and her lips curved into a wide smile.

He had kept his promise.

She slowly sat on the bed still keeping her gaze on the man in front of her while smiling happily like a child.

“Am I that handsome pet?”

Diaz teased, opening his eyes and Maddie immediately shifted her gaze away from him, her cheeks turning pink.

He had caught her staring.

“It’s okay Maddie, you can stare all you want, I’m delicious after all.”

He added, licking his lips seductively and it took Maddie great effort not to jump on him right now to kiss those sexy lips of his.

“I wasn’t staring at you.”

She lied, shifting her gaze away from his tempting lips.

“Yeah of course you weren’t staring, You were drooling Maddie.”

Diaz said and laughed making Maddie frozed as she slowly shifted her gaze back to him again.

He asked playfully.

“Well, I have not seen you laugh before so I’m very surprise seeing you laugh and damn you looked so sexy and handsome.”

Maddie blurted out smiling before her hands immediately went to her clasp her mouth realizing what she just said and her eyes widened in awe.

She can’t believe she said that loud.

She cursed silently.

“See? I told you, you were drooling afterall.”

Diaz muttered, bursting into another round of laughter.

He was also startled himself, he can’t remember the last time he laughed like this.

Maddie smiled as she continued staring at his face and for once since she knew Diaz she saw some emotions in his enticing blue eyes.

But that lasted only for some minutes becauses his eyes went back to it’s normal state of being emotionless and all sighs of emotion disappeared from his eyes and Maddie let out a small sigh.

How she wish he can just keep laughing like this.

It makes him look so handsome and less more dangerous.

Her thoughts were disturbed by her stomach which made loud noises and that was enough to divert Diaz gaze to her.

“You haven’t eaten since the day began Maddie.”

He whispered standing up from the chair and walking towards Maddie.

“It’s time to eat pet.”

He whispered in her ears, gently licking her earlobes and Maddie shivered at his cold tongue.

“Or would you like to eat me first?”

“Seems your stomach has answered for you.”

He muttered before picking her up like a princess, heading downstairs.

The staff all gasped in suprise as they saw their mighty Lord Diaz carrying a lady in his arms like a princess.

“Who is she?”

“what’s going on?”

“She’s so beautiful”

“I’m getting jealous”

Those were the words the staffs were murmuring as Diaz decended the stairs with Maddie in his strong arms.

“Hey you, make something for her to eat.”

He ordered pointing to one of the maid and she nodded and hurriedly scurried away.

“Follow her Henry, I don’t trust anyone in his house.”

He said and Henry who was behind him nodded and bowed before departing also for the kitchen.

His eyes scanned around the house and immediately his gaze fell on someone, his eyes immediately darkened.

Seems the guards didn’t let her escape.

Immediately her gaze met his eyes, the maid started shivering and trembling in fear and she started taking slow steps backward.

She was the maid who tried to kill his pet.
