The Mafia’s Third Wife: Between The Devil’s Triangle

Overwhelmed

Chapter 16 Overwhelmed

“But what I am still trying to wrap my head around is Dr. Lee who turned out to be Alfredo Sanchez the Mafia Billionaire. I mean I thought he was a weakling who couldn’t handle himself. Never thought him to be a mafia who had killed a lot of people and then hid in disguise as a doctor to save lives.” She said,This content provided by N(o)velDrama].[Org.

“That’s what makes him so dangerous,” Willow said, her voice low and serious. “He’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing, using his position as a doctor to hide his true identity. It’s the perfect cover for his crimes, and it makes him even more difficult to catch. He’s like a ghost, always one step ahead of everyone else.”

“So by hiding his real identity, the police would never suspect that he is involved in any crime?” She asked.

“Do you think the police will ever be able to catch him?” Raven asked, feeling a mix of fear and awe.

“Sanchez are feared in this state and no one and I mean no one can face them, not even Ramos Escabor.” Willow said.

Raven noticed that Magarita was still struggling under Willow’s foot and so ordered her to release Magarita.

“Just let Magarita go.” she ordered.

“I will let her go if you ask nicely.” Willow said.

Raven rolled her eyes “Please just let her go.” She said.

“Of course,” Willow said, a sly smile curling her lips. She lifted her foot from Magarita’s back, allowing the servant to scramble to her feet and scurry away.

“You’re such a bully,” Raven said, shaking her head in disapproval.

“I prefer to think of myself as assertive,” Willow replied, shrugging nonchalantly. “But I’ll admit that I can be a bit… forceful at times.”

“That’s one way to put it,” Raven said dryly. “So what now?

“Now we talk about your father,” Willow said, her voice taking on a serious tone.

“I’m afraid that Ramos won’t let him go so easily. He’s too valuable to him as a bargaining chip. And if you try to rescue him, it could put your father’s life in even more danger.”

“I can’t just leave him there,” Raven protested, feeling torn. On the one hand, she knew that what Willow was saying made sense. But on the other hand, she couldn’t bear the thought of her father being at the mercy of Ramos.

“I understand your dilemma,” Willow said, her voice softening.

“But we need to be smart about this. We need to come up with a plan that will ensure your father’s safety while still taking Ramos down. Otherwise, he’ll just keep holding your father hostage.”

Raven felt a spark of hope at Willow’s words. Perhaps there was a way out of this mess after all.

“What kind of plan are you thinking of?” she asked, her curiosity piqued.

“Well I believe he might try to bargain with Sanchez to give you up in exchange for something they want.” Willow said.

“Do you think they would do that?” She asked. Raven wasn’t sure if what she was doing was right.

“Well….. I’m going to let you get dressed and the maid will lead you to have breakfast.” Willow said before leaving the room.

Raven thought about the event that happened this past weeks and all.

She couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed by everything that had happened in the past few weeks. It seemed like her life had been turned upside down, and she wasn’t sure how to make sense of it all.

Raven sat on the bed, feeling exhausted and confused. Her father was in the hands of a dangerous man, and she didn’t know how to get him back. She felt like she was stuck in a nightmare that she couldn’t wake up from.

As she sat there, lost in her thoughts, she heard a knock on the door.
