Chapter 1700 Retreat Right Now

Chapter 1700 Retreat Right Now

"That means that we can go and look for the Godly Genius of the Flower Fief and the guard team now!" Vivian wore a large smile on her face. Soon afterwards, she turned to Rocky and asked, "But who are they?"

"They are the members of the Primitive Fief."

"The Primitive Fief? Why would they attack us when we weren't ready? Well, they have made enemies out of us now!" Vivian's eyes gleamed with rage. For as a long as she could remember, she had been the type of person who hated being offended. She would chase someone to the ends of the world just to get her revenge.

"We must leave right now because I'm worried that the Godly Genius of the Flower Fief and the others are in danger," Rocky said. The bad feeling had been sitting heavily in his gut for hours now.

"Okay." Vivian nodded without hesitation.

Immediately, Rocky and Vivian led their team back to the position where they had been ambushed and headed to the west. After choosing carefully, they walked down a different path. Meanwhile, Tobias and his men had already secretly surrounded where Valeria and her guards were. All of a sudden, he felt something was off. The scenery around slightly rippled and slowly faded. "Someone has broken the illusionary trick!" he exclaimed in shock. "Move now! Attack!" He immediately gave the order. Valeria had also noticed the change of the terrain. The guards quickly gathered to protect her, but it was too late since Tobias' team had launched the attack. Tobias' high level spiritual power gushed out and slithered towards Valeria. The Spiritual Kings immediately fought back but that was not enough. Seeing her people get injured, Valeria activated her own power to finally counteract his strike.

The joint guard team had found themselves at a disadvantage. Even though they had more people on their side, they had been ambushed and their morale had become unstable.

After a few more rounds, Tobias had already suppressed Valeria and was preparing to capture her alive.

"Godly Genius Valeria, be smart and surrender. Do you really want to suffer?" Tobias taunted. His strength was more advanced than Valeria's, so it was easy for him to overpower her.

"Go ahead. Try and see if you can win. Frankly, I don't think you have to ability..." Valeria snapped back, holding her chin high. It would take a lot more for her to make a compromise.

"You are asking for it!" Tobias roared. His spiritual power rumbled through the air and the violent high- level aura filled the surrounding area like a balloon. Valeria's face turned white.

She knew that Tobias was stronger than she was, but she had no way of retreating. If she did, the guards would lose their leader and they would be unwilling to fight.

So Valeria immediately summoned a medium-stage warrior at the Emperor Realm from the Flower Fief and he prepared himself to fight against Tobias.

When the guards saw that Valeria was calm and level-headed, their morale improved and they were ready to join the fight.

When it came down to the number of guards, Valeria and her team had the upper hand.

However, before they could charge, the harsh sound of a flute traveled through the air. From the left, several giant, gorilla-like beasts appeared and rushed towards the joint guard team.

The beasts were huge and bloodthirsty. Not even the Spiritual Kings could stop them. Soon, the joint guard team was forced to retreat, suffering from a low morale.

When they saw that happen, Valeria and the warrior at the Emperor Realm fought together, but they were unable to resist Tobias and his attacks. In under an hour, the warrior was injured, and Valeria was

struggling to hold on.

"Demonic wrath attack!" With an ear-piercing shriek, a demon shadow with wings ran towards Valeria. She gasped.

The shadow was cloaked with a malicious aura. Knowing that she was at a disadvantage, Valeria ran backwards and summoned the wood spirit to resist the attack.

Bang!

In the center of the battlefield, the demon shadow collided with the wooden giant. A spiritual wave the height of a skyscraper rose into the air and destroyed the land within a hundred meters of it.

"Flora's Spiritual Flower Technique lives up to its reputation. Unfortunately, you have only learned a small part of it..." With a scornful smile, Tobias fluttered his eyes open. The demon shadow opened its mouth and a thick, black demonic aura spewed towards Valeria.

Caught off guard, Valeria was hit by the demonic aura. Immediately, it entered her body and began to chip away at her spiritual power.

"Damn it!" Now that her spiritual power was restrained by the demonic aura, Valeria could no longer use the Spiritual Flower Technique.

"Ha-ha..." Looking at Valeria as she struggled, Tobias laughed and approached her, intending to capture her.

"No!" As she watched Tobias draw nearer, Valeria couldn't think of any way to stop him. Her face turned gloomy. She knew that she was in danger.

The other warriors from the joint guard team couldn't reach her in time because they were fighting the warriors and beasts from the Primitive Fief.

Just as Tobias was about to catch Valeria, a hand burst through the ground and grabbed his wrist.

The next moment, a tingling sensation spread up his arm and he withdrew his hand.

"What was that?"

Tobias looked back to examine the mysterious hand again, but it had disappeared.

"Come out! Don't try and play tricks on me!" Enraged, Tobias released his spiritual power into the ground, creating large craters. However, he couldn't force the owner of the mysterious hand out.

While he was distracted, a figure silently appeared behind Valeria. "Your meridians have been invaded by his demonic aura. You can't use your spiritual power anymore. It's not worth the risk. The demonic aura could attack your heart, and then, you can't be saved."

As soon as Valeria heard the voice, she turned around in surprise. The voice had been very familiar. Squinting her eyes, she realized that it was Rocky.

"What are you doing here?" Valeria exclaimed.

"Really? That's what you choose to ask me. Who do you think I am?" Rocky smiled.

"Where is Vivian?" Valeria glared at Rocky, wondering how he could be smiling at such a critical moment.

"She'll be here soon. I was worried about you, so I went ahead," Rocky explained.

"You were worried about me? Don't pretend to care about me!" Valeria snorted.

"Stop it right now, you two!" When he noticed that Rocky and Valeria were flirting in front of him, Tobias grew so angry that his face turned as red as beet.

"No, you should stop. Our Ghost Fief didn't do anything to offend your Primitive Fief. Ambushing us was an awful thing to do!" Rocky stepped forward so he could look at Tobias more clearly.

"I ambushed you because you were stupid enough to fall for it!" Tobias snapped back, lifting up one corner of his mouth in a sly smile. Exclusive content © by Nô(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.

"Yes. I have already reminded them of the fact," Rocky agreed.

Valeria ears turned red as a sense of shame washed over her. She had repeatedly criticized Rocky, not realizing that his prediction was so accurate. Rocky had told them that they would regret their choice.

"Who are you?" Tobias asked, narrowing his eyes when Rocky acted so confidently in front of him.

"Guess!" Rocky rose the feeling of suspense on purpose.

"You're being a brat! I think you are tired of living." More anger blazed in Tobias' eyes as a reaction to Rocky's attitude.

"Are you sure about that? The illusory trick you created has been broken, and Miss Vivian is on her way with her people. Do you think you can resist thousands of soldiers led by her?" Rocky had nothing to fear.

When he heard that, Tobias hesitated. Their previous plan was to diffuse the strength of the joint guard team and then defeat them one at a time. But now that the illusory trick had been broken, their advantage was gone. If Vivian were to arrive with her people, a vicious battle would unfold. However, there was also a chance that Rocky was bluffing.

"If you don't believe me, stay here and see." Rocky stared at him with a gleam in his eyes.

"Brat, just wait..." After weighing the pros and cons, Tobias decided that the risk wasn't worth it and ordered for his men to retreat.

Not long after, they were all gone.
