Chapter 1728 He Was Healing Her

"Ha-ha! It seems that you are really determined to make me fall in love with you no matter what," Rocky said in a teasing tone as he chuckled.

"Yes! I am serious about that. Now, tell me your answer," Gloria demanded to know his answer as she wore a serious expression on her face.

"Well, maybe. We'll see..." Rocky answered ambiguously before he turned around again and left.

After Rocky got out of the hall, Adrian and Gloria were left alone, and they began to ponder and discuss the issue at hand.

"So, what do you think of his plan?" Adrian asked as he stroked his chin.

"It is like a double-edged sword. Once it succeeds, it will really solve our problem and erase the biggest threat of all—the Primitive Fief. However, if it fails and the Primitive Fief discovers about this plan, we will fall into an even greater passive position. Meanwhile, Rocky had already returned to the Ghost Palace. However, before he could even take a seat, Valeria came rushing in.

"I heard that the leader of the Genie Fief brought his daughter here to make you marry her. Is that true?"

"Well, yes. The news really travels that fast, huh?" Rocky said with a faint smile.

"What?! Shame on them!" Upon hearing it from Rocky's own mouth, Valeria instantly grew furious.

"Can you blame them? In order to win in the end, they need to do whatever they can. Moreover, since Miss Gloria's name is in the engagement covenant, they are actually eligible to demand a marriage," Rocky said indifferently.

"Humph! I think you just really want to marry her!" Valeria was instantly pissed off that Rocky did not seem to side with her. It was as if she was very jealous that her fiance entertained the thought of being married to another woman.

"However, I am not that easy to win over. Of course, I have set a condition if they want to proceed with the marriage. And unless the leader of the Genie Fief agrees to it, there will be no wedding," Rocky said as he let out a cunning smile.

"Do you really plan to ally yourselves with the Genie Fief? You are going to be in big trouble because my adoptive mother will never agree to that!" Valeria reminded sternly.

"I am well aware of that. That is why I made an impossible demand. No matter how desperate they are, the leader of the Genie Fief will not agree to it," Rocky replied.

"What did you say to them?" Valeria asked out of curiosity. She could not guess what possible condition Rocky could have set that made him so confident.

"I said that if Miss Gloria really wants to marry me, she'll have to break all her ties to her family and the Genie Fief," Rocky said with a smirk.

Upon hearing Rocky's words, Valeria was rendered speechless. It never crossed her mind that Rocky would be capable of issuing such a cruel request. Of course, no one in their right state of mind would agree that his daughter would be permanently taken away from him. In other words, Adrian would never consider agreeing with Rocky's demands.

"I must admit that you really are something. It seems that you don't like her that much," Valeria softly mumbled. Somehow, she felt a little better after knowing that Rocky also did not want to be married to Gloria.

"Well, I do like her. But that isn't important since I am the Godly Genius of the Ghost Fief. I have to put the overall interests of our fief at all times," Rocky said as he convinced Valeria that he was on their side.

"If that is the case, then the Genie Fief should give up soon enough, right?" Valeria asked in a rather hopeful tone.

"Well, that is not necessarily the case. Because of what I did, there is a huge tendency that the leader of the Genie Fief would use this as an excuse to go against us," Rocky replied as he shook his head.

"Humph! How dare he?" Valeria quickly shouted.

"As I said, he is the leader of a fief. Of course, he will do anything convenient for them," Rocky said with a shrug.

"You don't have to worry about a thing. Since our fiefs are officially allied now, once they try anything to hurt you or the Ghost Fief, the Flower Fief won't just stand and do nothing," Valeria seriously declared.

"Well, I am very relieved to hear that. With you on my side, I don't have to be afraid of the Genie Fief at all," Rocky replied with a smile. However, he only said it to her to make her feel at ease and let down her guard.

"So... Shall we continue my treatment today?" Valeria asked shyly.

"Of course. If you are free right now, we can do it at once," Rocky said as he nodded.

"All right then. I guess I'll be in your care..."

"Just wait a moment as I prepare the medicine." Immediately after, Rocky left her for a while and entered the pharmacy.

Meanwhile, Gloria could not help but pace back and forth right after Rocky left. Since she also couldn't stand being alone, she eventually sneaked out of the guest hall and went to the Ghost Palace to find Rocky.

However, when she arrived at the palace, she discovered that an array was set up around the building.

Normally, ordinary people had no chance of breaking into that array. But since Gloria's family was proficient in using arrays and enchantment skills, she was able to easily get past it. In fact, no kind of sealing enchantment or array would be hard to break for them. At the same time, the sealing enchantment of her family was very famous in the entire Shura Race.

"There's no one here... Where the hell is that guy?" Seeing that Rocky was not there, Gloria decided that she would just leave. However, she suddenly heard some noises from the pharmacy that was at the end of the hall. She was curious as to what was going on in there, so she went and took a look.

As she walked through the door of the pharmacy, she spotted two shadows behind a screen. From where she stood, she could see that the shadows of the figures were actually intertwined as if they were doing something intimate.

"Is that Odin? Don't tell me that he is cheating behind my back!" Of course, Gloria could not help but be suspicious. Thus, she grew more determined to know who these people were and what they were doing. Without wasting any time, she walked towards the screen and poked her head to look at the other side.

The moment she saw the scene on the other side of the screen, Gloria's eyes widened in shock. Valeria was actually sitting in a bathtub while Rocky was moving his hands back and forth on her back.

'This woman is so despicable! How dare she seduce my man this way?!' Gloria thought to herself as she instantly grew jealous and furious. In her anger, she immediately overturned the screen and showed herself to them.

Upon hearing that the screen fell to the ground, Rocky, who was healing Valeria's wounds, was so surprised to see Gloria there. He was sure that he had properly up an enchantment barrier outside of the Ghost Palace. Thus, he could not help but wonder how she was able to barge in there.

Valeria, who was still naked in the bathtub, was even more shocked. Somehow, she had a bizarre feeling that the situation was similar to her being caught cheating in bed.

"Valeria! Shame on you! How could you seduce my man? Don't you have any decency?" Gloria yelled angrily.

"What? Your man?" Valeria snapped back, feeling very unhappy about her accusations.

"Yes! I am his fiancee. So, I have all the rights to question you!" Gloria continued.

"So what? I am his fiancee too!" Valeria retorted coldly.

"I d-don't care! Anyway, how dare you seduce him by showing your naked body to him?" Gloria stammered for a bit but quickly found a way to reverse the tables again.

"Huh? Why would I even want to seduce this guy?" Valeria scoffed as her eyes widened in annoyance.

"Oh, come on! You don't have any clothes, and you let him touch you! What are those for if you aren't seducing him?" It seemed that Gloria would not back down no matter what.

"You're so malicious! He is just healing my wounds!" Valeria retorted as she almost exploded in embarrassment.

"What kind of lame excuse is that?! Do you need to take off all your clothes just for him to heal your wounds?" Gloria asked as she raised her brows, obviously not believing any words that Valeria said.
