“What? Cancel all collaborations?” Benny Assex and Madame Joanne’s facial

expressions changed drastically. Their knees were going soft, and they could barely

stand.

By now, their projects would have already started.

In order to get a lower price, Assex

Construction had ordered large bulks of materials. In fact, the capital investment they

made was even greater than before, they invested nearly all of Assex Construction’s

funds. If Waylon Realty cancelled all collaborations with Assex Construction, the latter

and white. How could you terminate our collaboration just like that?” Benny stuttered.

“Yes, Mr. Carter. If you do so, Waylon Realty will have to pay a huge penalty to

compensate us! Are you sure about that?”

Madame Joanne said threateningly.

“I’m very sure!” Charles Carter chuckled coldly.

Madame Joanne turned to look at Dorothy with a piercing gaze. “Mr. Carter, you

shouldn’t mix business with pleasure. Why are you breaking the contract for a woman in

such a rash manner?

I’m sure it won’t be good for your reputation, Mr. Carter. Besides,

if your wife found out about you messing around with Dorothy, she might not be very

pleased. Don’t you agree?” Madame Joanne said.

Charles was stunned for a moment before he became enraged.

“Madame Joanne, watch your mouth! How dare you say that Ms. Assex and I… You’re

defaming me. If you weren’t Madame Joanne, I would ’ve slapped you!” He fumed.

“If there’s nothing between the two of you, why are you helping her?”

Madame Joanne’s

face turned pale.

“That’s because she’s my sister-in-law. Alex is my brother-in-law. D*mn it. The penalty

of breaking the contract is only 200 million dollars. Waylon Realty can afford it! But if

you want this money, you’d have to beat me in court first,” Charles said before bidding

farewell to Alex Rockefeller and Dorothy Assex.

He said they would sign a new

agreement the next day and left.

If Assex Construction was to bring this case to court, they’d have to wait several months

until the results came out. By then, Assex Construction would’ve closed down.

Madame Joanne sat on the ground and started crying loudly.

Benny felt immensely remorseful for his actions. However, Alex and Dorothy felt no

sympathy for the two of them.

The Assex family had stormed into this villa proudly, but they now left with their heads

hung low.

Claire was so engrossed in the thought of the wealth she would be surrounded with in

the future that she had forgotten that Alex had slapped her earlier.

Alex held Dorothy’s hand as they went upstairs. “Honey, was what Charles said true?

Are we really going to sign the contract tomorrow?” Dorothy still felt as if she was in a

dream.

“That’s what Charles said. We’ll do it. Since the Assex family treated you in such a way,

it’s time to teach them a memorable lesson. Otherwise, that old woman will always try to

harm us in different ways.”

Dorothy sat Alex down on a chair and started gently massaging his shoulders to reward

him. Alex was stunned.

He had never been treated like this before.

Although Dorothy’s eyes glistened at the thought of her future lifestyle, she was still too

kind not to feel sorry for her family. “But if this happened, Assex Construction would go

bankrupt. Within a month, they’d run out of capital and won’t be able to pay off their

swore to take Rockefeller Group down within three months. We have to start preparing

the operations now to make the comeback,” Alex said.
