Later that day!

“So you got married to pay off your parents’ death. And then you left because your contract husband is accusing you? Also, did you guys like to get married with a pastor and rings?” The doctor said, trying to make sense of it and asked? Jhonia sat up on the bed looking at him.

“Do I need to go over the details? Also, I want to know why you are not working?” Jhonia asked? As she stood up from the bed and walked over to where he sat in a chair.

“I’m on lunch of course, do you plan to go back? I mean, it’s now your home but if you”

“I have to… I signed the contract. It stood for five years and we are barely making it through the first. My friend is coming. I will stay with her for a few days, and then return. Did you know his mother said, we would be in love and she would destroy the contract in front of us. But I doubt it.” Jhonia said, explaining to him that she has to go back, telling she will stay with a friend for a few days before she turned away from him and walked back to the bed!

“Why?” He asked? Jhonia chuckled and sat down on the bed, then pushed herself over further on the bed then looked up across the room at the doctor.

“Another woman would be okay with the kind of man he is, but I won’t if I’m going to love him. I have to see all that he has to offer, as his money is not everything, though one needs money for everything. So what’s the point of this old saying? Money is not everything, but yet you need money to do everything? Doctor, today he not only accused me of cheating but he brought my parents into it. I will not forgive him for it.” Jhonia said to the doctor as he stared at her with acknowledgment of what she was saying about money and one needing it for everything, So why is there a saying that it’s not everything. She’s not wrong and has a point, but to others, she could be so wrong.

“Okay, I trust that you will do what’s good for you! Also, Jhonia you are really smart never lose sight of what is truly matters and as for your parents they’re not disappointed in who you have become.” The doctor said to her, reminding her that she is smart and should never lose sight of herself. He got up from his seat and walked over to her.

“Here! This is a friend of mine’s business card, my number is on the back! You can call me whenever I will surely answer. Agree?” The doctor said to her, before he then asked? Handing the card to Jhonia, she took it and looked at it.

“Doctor, I have known you for two plus years and I don’t know your name? Also, there are two numbers here.” Jhonia said to him about not knowing his name, as she asked? The doctor smiled at her after she said there were two numbers on the card.

“My name is not important, however… my last name is Doctor but since we are friends you can call me Jea and both the numbers on the back are mine.” Jea responded to Jhonia after she glared at him, but now she is trying hard not to laugh and make fun of his name.

“This, your face reminds me of another person. He acted just like that when I told him my name so go ahead laugh.” He said to her, and Jhonia began giggling.

“Your last name is Doctor, and you became a doctor. Hehehe!!! Nice.” Jhonia said with a smile. The door was knocked on and Josephine entered with a smile on her face. She stared at the doctor with a questioning look!

“Josephine this is Dr. Jea, he’s a friend of mine and this is my new friend Jea meets Josephine.” Jhonia said, before introducing the two to each other.

“Hi, nice to meet you. Jhonia, I hope you don’t mind that as your friend I brought you these.” Josephine said, with a smile but it quickly faded as she showed the bag to Jhonia. She seemed afraid Jhonia might not accept it from her.

“I know. I get how skeptical you can be especially to new people, I just want you”

“It’s okay, I will pay you back.” Jhonia said, cutting her off. Josephine appears to be even sadder but quickly rushes to the bed!

“No! You can not pay me back. If you do then I’m not your friend.” Josephine said, turning her back to the bed and putting down the bag. After a short period of silence Josephine turned around and didn’t see Jhonia.

“Heh! Where did she go?” Josephine asked? As didn’t see Jhonia, thinking that Jhonia got upset and left she sat on the bed with a frown.

“They fit perfectly, thank you, I will pay you back and don’t say no. Also, everything I will eat and drink is on you today.” Jhonia said, as she stepped out of the bathroom. “Get off!” Jhonia said angrily. Josephine pulled back from her and stepped back!

“I’m sorry, I just got excited.” Josephine said, looking down at her feet like a shy child. Jhonia cleared her throat and walked over to where Dr. Jea, stood.

“Can I be discharged before those rich people find out I’m here?” Jhonia asked Jea? And he nodded and left. Jhonia picked her stuff and walked to the door, she forgot Dr. Jea numbers on the card she returned for it and realized Josephine was still standing there.

“Are you going to stand there all day?” Jhonia asked? And she quickly turned around looking at Jhonia with her eyes widened. Jhonia raised an eyebrow at her.

“Yea. Also, let’s go to my place. I told my mom about you and she wants to meet you… Can you?” Josephine said, explaining before she asked? Jhonia stared at her for some time, as she was going to take it back!

“Let’s go.” Jhonia said, leaving the room and Josephine followed with a smile.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Pinnock was going back and forth in the living room with one arm crossed her stomach and the other holding up her phone to her chin. Suddenly, she received a phone call.

“Hello!” Mrs. Pinnock answered her phone.

“Mrs. Pinnock, how is it that your daughter in law is in the hospital and you’re not here! Knowing you.” A female voice came in through on the other hand, of the call!

“She must have gone for a checkup without informing me, maybe her period is late and she went to check why? Don’t disturb me.” Mrs. Pinnock said, holding her attitude as well as keeping calm making up excuses not only to the woman but to herself as well.

“Oh! Haha, from my experience when someone fainted on the street… It’s usually caused from not eating and ill health, no way? Don’t tell me, your son does not know how to care for his wife? Mrs. Pinnock you should send someone here to pick her! I might let my mouth slip to the media. How ungrateful he is, doesn’t even know how to care for his wife.” The female companion said to her, telling what she heard based on what she asked? She asked Mrs. Pinnock and tell her to send someone before her mouth slips to the media. Yet how ungrateful her son is to his wife, she ends the called and Mrs. Pinnock sat down immediately from shock.

“AH…” She sighed loudly.

She stood up and went to her room after getting dressed in a set of clothing she wouldn’t necessarily wear, a pair of jeans and normal t-shirt wear and heels. Nearce, who returned from work early, saw his mother coming down the stairs in clothing Jhonia would wear.

“Are you copying her, now?” Nearce asked? But his mother did not respond to him, nor did she take her driver, she went by cab. When she arrived at the Hospital she was informed by a nurse that Jhonia had already left the hospital. She returned home disappointed.
