They were already married and had enough money to live comfortably, so the next step would be to get

a few kids. That was how most people lived; they got married, had a few kids, raised a family, and

worked hard to support their family.

Ian had no idea if Cindy was pregnant, but he figured she probably wasn't. So, he told Logan they were

in no hurry to get any children. "I'd like to have some time alone with her. We might be married, but we

haven't had much alone time. I used to be busy, and now I'm even busier, so I have no time. Once my

contract expires, I'll spend some time with her." Ian's life used to fill with nothing but work, but now he

was in no hurry to do anything. He talked to Logan for a while longer and hung up when Lola called

Logan over.

Then, Ian went back to his bedroom. Cindy was leaning on the back of the bed, scrolling through her

phone. Ian didn't even need to check out what she was looking at to know she was reading through

Leah's case. There was a frown on her brows, and she looked solemn. He sat beside her and pinched

her cheek. "Why the long face? Calm down. No matter what happens out there, it has nothing to do

with us." He slid his hand down and touched Cindy's collarbone. She knew he was trying to calm her

down.

She looked at him. "Aren't you worried at all? I've seen these people's guesses, and I think you should

check them out. They can make up a ton of ridiculous stories."

Ian was not interested in that. He just wanted to look at Cindy. "Ignore them. Just live our own lives."

He then slid his hand into her shirt. "Time is precious. Are you sure you want to spend it scrolling

through your phone?"

She shot him a look of resignation. "Do you think about sex all the time? It feels like that's all you ever

think about whenever you see me."

Ian laughed. "I'm not a pervert, you know." He paused for a moment and added, "But I think you're

right. I get this tingly feeling every time I see you. What should I do?" It was odd. Ian thought he was a

gentleman; he wouldn't tease any other lady, even if they were good fun. However, when he was with

Cindy, he just wanted to do it with her. It was instinct, and he couldn't control it.

Cindy harrumphed, but she knew it wasn't every day they could meet. They had been apart for a long

time, so if they didn't take this chance to do something, gods knew how long it would be before they

met again. She got out of bed, looking tense. Still, she said, "I'll take a bath. Give me a minute."

Nope. Ian went into the bathroom with her. "Let's do it together. I haven't had a shower yet." Well,

something other than a bath might happen, though.

Cindy turned around to look at him, and she relented. "Don't take it too far."

Ian had no idea how far was too far. Sex was something that flowed along with what the heart desired.

Sometimes, if they felt like it, they could have more fun with it. He wondered why Cindy would get

miffed every time this was mentioned. He resigned to his position, but still, he grunted. "Yeah, yeah. I

know." Though, his action was not in line with his words. Once they were in the bathroom, Cindy knew

her warning was nothing but a waste of breath. Ian barely held back at all.
