The day has come when the gathering of well -known businessmen and woman in the country will take place, I am also preparing for it, since sister hera left here in the world I have stayed in the orphanage because I don’t want to leave the children’s here.

I just leave when I go with the company and sometimes I just let dexter fix with another problem because I’m also carrying about the kids. as I look at myself in the mirror I can say that even though my appearance has not changed, I have just lost a little weight.

when I was satisfied with my appearance I slowly walked out of the room and went downstairs I saw other children in the living room of the orpanage while watching a cartoon while bea was on the single sofa who was also watching.

“Bea you take care of them first I have to leave.” I spoke to get her attention so she looked at me before giving me a small smile before answering.

“Yes, I’ll take care of them mom.” She answer so I just nodded before walking out of the main door of the orpanage and I saw my Lamborghini parked opposite. I picked up the key I was holding in my small bag before walking closer to the car. I opened the door of the driver’s seat before getting on and started to drive.

I know I’m a little late but I don’t care anymore. I’m just going to show that I’m there and there’s nothing else. Time passed and I rated myself on the vinue of the event. I was in front of the De Silva hotel and I didn’t know who owned it. get out of the car before giving my car keys to the guard and so that he can just park in the proper parking lot.

I walked into the hotel at the same time as the staff nodded, but I ignored them and went straight to the elevator. I knew on which floor that gathering would take place. When I entered the elevator, I wasted no time and immediately hit the 43rd floor because the whole floor was where the event took place.

“Ting.” The sound of the elevator signaled that it was open so I went out and a hallway opened up for me but I walked to a gold door because I knew that the gathering was taking place there. when I got to the front door I pushed it without hesitation with my hand so it opened at the same time I grabbed everyone’s attention as well as the MC who was speaking earlier.

“O-oh Lets welcome the owner of LOU E Corporation none other than Ms. Iris Lou Ephraim.” Announced by mc so everyone applauded but there was still no trace of emotion that could be seen in my two eyes when I saw the person I hadn’t seen in the past year. I can see his posture so much that I can still remember everything about him.

I could read the shock in his eyes but I didn’t see the slightest bit of love, I don’t know if there is room for me in his heart or if I have been changed. I regained consciousness before averting my eyes from him and signaling the MC to continue his speech that he had stopped talking earlier.

I also don’t understand what mc is saying so because I’m bored here inside I just left secretly to go to the rooftop. I just walked out before taking the elevator again and hitting the 70th floor where the rooftop is.

I only waited a few minutes when I arrived and the very fresh air and the very beautiful city and the towering buildings opened up to me along with the shining stars in the sky. I walked closer to the railings before touching that and looking up at the sky. Back then I really wanted to watch the stars with him but that thing was unlikely to happen. I felt a familiar presence walking towards me I knew it was him but my eyes remained on the stars.

“How are you.” I heard him ask behind me before he trimmed me and looked at the stars as well.

“How are you?” I asked back to him while I was still looking at stars above because I couldn’t look at him, I knew tears would fall in my eyes again.

“I’m good.” He answered so I laughed a little.

“Its really funny to hear that your doing good while I’m still here stuck in the past on how you bring me more pain.” I said Laughingly to him.

“How’s your child?” My next question because it hurts to relive the past.

“She’s doing good and I have no any wish than to be with my daughter and her mother.” He softly said. So when I heard that, it was as if thousands of daggers pierced my heart because of what he said.

“Does that mean I’m no longer there in your heart?” I said softly before I turned my gaze to him and I saw him looking at the stars so I could see the tip of his nose as well as his eyelashes hes still handsome as before.

“Iris its been years and things change even feeling is changing.” He answered, that literally stop me before looking back to the star in the sky at the same time as my tears were dripping from my left eye.

“I wont left before if you just didn’t cheat.” I spoke softly.

“Iris I suppose to explain everything to you and fix us before but you suddenly disappear without even saying goodbye.” He replied.

“Because you know that I swear in front of god that time that once you step out in the church, that means you already choice between her and me.”

“You cause me so much pain, and I’m wondering where I’m missing so you can find someone else?” I asked him.

“Iris I didn’t find another that was just a mistake, i didn’t cheat.” He suddenly answered so I laughed.

“If you didn’t cheat, then what do you call the one you got pregnant with? Don’t tell me that you accidentally sex with her without you knowing?” I screamed and I couldn’t help but vent my annoyance because of what he said.

“Fine! Let’s not talk about the past Iris just move and I’ll move on too especially now that I have a family and I’m satisfied with what I have now so no matter what happened then, I’ll admit my guilt so I apologize for what I did to you. “He calmly said.

“So that’s just it?” I can’t believe I’m talking to him.

“Just like that? You’re going to apologize as if what you did to me was so simple before? How could you be contented in your life now while I’m still suffering for the pain you’ve caused me?” I told him and I couldn’t help but shed tears in front of him.

“It seems unfair, doesn’t it? You’re happy now while I’m still here, you’re still in my heart! Why do I still love you?” I asked him and my voice got a little louder as well.

“I hope you’re not the first one I loved. If I just know that you’ll also cause me pain.” I said softly as I knelt down im the rooftop and put my two palms on my face to stop my sobbing but I couldn’t stop myself.

“I’m Sorry.” I heard him say before walking away, I was even more anxious to cry because of his departure. I pulled my own hair.

“DAMN WHY! WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO ME? I HAVE NOT COMMITTED ANY SIN TO DESERVE ALL THE PAIN I’M FEELING RIGHT NOW!” I screamed on the rooftop as tears trickled down my face looking at the sky. The stars witness how I am hurting in this times.

“I don’t deserve this.” I said last and was left to lay down on the rooftop and look at the star in the sky before I smiled. “I wish tomorrow this pain that I’m feeling right now will vanish.” I said smiling but the pain in my heart is still there.
