The Russian Don – A Dark Mafia Romance

Julianna’s Pov:-

I stared at him in disbelief with my mouth wide open, “I’m not some pet to obey your commands Mr Vasiliev,” I replied while clenching my jaw in anger. His scary dark aura might make me fear him, but I will not let him treat me however he wants.

I noticed the corner of his lips slightly moving upwards, the look on his face turned into a challenging one which began to piss me off. Bastard! I wish I could rip that smirk off his lips.

I fisted my hands and gritted my teeth in anger, “You wish!” he grinned and stepped back. I stared at him, puzzled.

“And…. Do not try to escape, Miss Mitchell” He warned, his eyes turning dark.

“I know where you live, your parents live and your workplace as well… It would be easy for me to kidnap you again…. if you did escape… ” he stared at me and snapped his fingers.

What is he doing?

Suddenly two of his men walked inside the room with something in their hands, I couldn’t see it but they directly approached me. I backed up from them but one of them grabbed my arm and pulled me towards them.

The Other man bent down and grabbed my ankle, “Hey, what the hell are you doing?” I yelled at him, but he ignored my yells. I kept trying to get out of their hold, but I couldn’t. As they stepped back, I glanced at my leg and saw a long thick black anklet around it.

“What is this?” I asked, confused and couldn’t keep the fear out of my voice,

“It’s a tracker,” he replied,

“What the?” I bent down and tried to get it off my leg, but I couldn’t pull it off. Suddenly I noticed that it was locked.

“Remove it!” I yelled at them, but they glanced at Nikolai and walked out of the room.

“How does this come off!” I mumbled while trying to remove it,

“It doesn’t!” Nikolai replied, I glanced at him and gritted my teeth in pure rage.

“Unless… You cut off your foot or… Die!” he said, pushing his hands into his pockets,

I sighed and didn’t know what to do or say. He looked quite determined to hold me here, but I couldn’t stop myself from asking him this.

“Will you ever let me go?” I asked, although I’m pretty sure what his answer might be but I wanted to hear it from him.

“There’s no escaping from me, Miss Mitchell,” He smirked.

I was sitting on the floor and had been trying to remove the Anklet tracker for the past three hours, but all my attempts to remove it failed. I sigh out in frustration while pushing my hair back,

“Son of a bitch!” I muttered while pulling the anklet.

Suddenly the door was pushed open and I saw a woman walking inside with a trolley. “Hello,” she smiled at me like I was her guest.

“Who are you?” I asked while getting up from the floor,

“I’m Flora Tate,” She said while stopping in front of me, “I’m the head housekeeper of this mansion,” she added.

“Oh! Nice to meet you. How can I remove this?” I asked her immediately while pointing at it,

Her eyes moved to the anklet and back to me, “I don’t know, Dear,” She replied,

“I’ve bought lunch for you, please have it!” She said with a sweet smile on her face, I glanced at food and my stomach growled loudly embarrassing me in front of the woman. I quickly covered my stomach and glanced at her.

“Sorry,” I said for which she chuckled,

“It’s okay, Please finish it!” she said while putting the food on the plate and handing me over. Looking at the delicious food I couldn’t say no.

I was sitting on the bed, having lunch while Flora sat beside me. I don’t know what Stella is doing right now, I hope she’s okay, did they offer her lunch as well? Did she have it?

Should I ask Flora about it?

I glanced at Flora and cleared my throat, “Miss Tate, Did you offer lunch to my friend, Stella too?” I asked, she turned to me and nodded her head.

“Yes, she had her Lunch,” she replied,

“Thank you,” I replied,

Poor Stella, she had been through a hard time because of her breakup and now she’s pulled into this because of me. I hope she’s fine. I have to request Nikolai to let her go, she did nothing to him and why is he even keeping her here? He should let her go.

If he wants me to stay here and serve him or whatever, I will do it only if he agrees to send her back. She’s innocent and I will not allow Nikolai to hold her here no matter what. I will request him to let her go. After she’s out of here, I’m sure she will go to the cops and bring help for me.Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

Since he made it quite clear to me that I can’t escape from here, Stella is my only hope and Yes, Stella will help me get out of here, I know her very well. I need to talk to Nikolai Vasiliev and convince him no matter what.

“Miss. Tate, Can you please take me to Mr. Vasiliev, I need to talk to him about something,” I said,

“You can call me Flora, dear… I will have to ask him first,” She replied. I smiled at her and thanked her. After having Lunch, Flora took the trolley and closed the door from outside. I kept pacing back and forth in anxiety thinking what I should tell him and how I should convince him to let Stella go.

The sound of the door opening grabbed my attention, I saw Flora walking inside and I was looking at her full of hope.

“Nikolai agreed,” she smiled,

“Let’s go,” she added while stepping aside. I smiled at her and followed her out of the room. I was growing anxious and gathering everything to tell him as I know he would not agree any time soon and I need a lot of requests.

Flora opened the door for me and gestured for me to go in, I smiled at her and stepped inside. As soon as I stepped in she closed the door and I grew nervous. I glanced at Nikolai, who was sitting on the chair and watching me without blinking his eyes.

I grew even more nervous looking at him. Come on Julia, You can do this! I kept telling myself while stepping towards him. I cleared my throat and tried my best to not let my nervousness ruin it.

“Mr. Vasiliev… I’m requesting you to please send Stella back….” I said while looking at him, “She didn’t do anything to you…. She’s innocent, Please let her go!” I requested but he was stoic, he had this blank expression.

“She doesn’t even know you…” I added. He got from his chair casually which made me even more nervous.

“For-Forcing her to be here…” he began to walk towards me which made my legs automatically step back, “… is unfair…” with every step he took, my legs began to step back.

“Ple-Please let he-her go,” I stuttered as my back hit the wall and he stood just a few inches away from me. His eyes are trained on my face,

“Why should I?” he asked,

Huh! I just told him why he should let her go! Is he deaf? He didn’t listen to anything that I just told him.

Jesus Christ.

“Be-because she’s innocent,” I replied,

My heart kept humming inside my chest as he stepped closer to me, “SO?”

“What if I say no? I will not?” He said, looking at me.

“Bu-but” I swallow hard trying to give him more reasons,

“Please, She doesn’t even know you… Please let her go! Please Mr. Vasiliev,” I requested,

A soft gasp left my lips as he raised his hand and his fingers caressed my cheek, pushing my hair back, behind my ear. All of a sudden, I feel so cold that his touch is burning my skin,

“Letting her go…or not…. is completely dependent on you,” he said and I stared at his face in confusion.

God! He’s stunning.

And utterly frightening.

This man is capable of anything.

I can barely draw in a breath, “Wh-What?”

I was breathless.

“Yes, Miss. Mitchell… her well-being and whether I should let her go or not is entirely on you… if you behave… she’ll be fine, if not…” He smiled,

His smile is the most beautiful and menacing thing I have ever seen.
