The Supreme Man: Took Everything in Power

Chapter 532 New Hospital President

Chapter 532 New Hospital President

"Okay." Kingsley nodded. "You and Miss Larson will handle the rest."

"Yes, Mr. Nicholson. You can rest assured that I'll handle everything flawlessly."

Under the gaze of everyone, Kingsley left the bank with Cecilia.

Once they were back in the car, Kingsley instructed Cecilia on tomorrow's tasks before sending her back to the Larsons' house.

Then, he drove back to Reene's house.

Kingsley rested in his room for a while. The sun began to set on the horizon. © NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

Reene walked out of the study, stretched lazily, and called, "Kingsley, what do you want to eat tonight? I'll cook."

Coming out of his room, Kingsley happened to see his eldest sister stretching with her arms raised.

The prominent and captivating curves of her chest were particularly eye-catching.

"Ahem. Reene, I'm fine with anything."

"Ah!" exclaimed Reene softly upon noticing Kingsley's gaze.

Quickly, she put down her arms in embarrassment. "Alright, I'll take a look at the fridge. There are still plenty of groceries left from Alice's previous grocery shopping. I'll make a few dishes of stir-fry perhaps.

"Anyway, since Serena won't be back for dinner today, it'll just be the two of us. We shouldn't need to shop for more groceries."

Just as she finished speaking, the sound of the door being opened came from downstairs.

Immediately, Alice's voice came. "Reene, Kingsley, I'm here to mooch a meal again!"

Reene smiled gently. "Kingsley, ever since you came back, Alice has been coming to my place more and more often."

When Kingsley and Reene went downstairs, they saw Alice carrying two large bags of groceries.

Holding one bag in each hand, Alice exclaimed loudly, "Kingsley, quick! Help me carry these to the kitchen! They're so heavy!"

Kingsley strode to her and took the groceries, smiling and joking, "Alice, you're practically now Reene's procurement officer for groceries."

"What can I say? Her cooking is so delicious!"

Alice rubbed her waist and said to Reene, "Reene, I'll have to eat a lot today. I've been standing all afternoon, so I really need to replenish my energy!"

Kingsley carried the groceries to the kitchen and asked puzzledly, "Why? Did you have another surgery to carry out?"

"I wish I did. When you're fully focused, you don't feel tired easily."

Slouching on the sofa, Alice complained, "The thing is that this afternoon, I just stood there, doing nothing. It was boring and exhausting!"

While tying her apron, Reene asked, "Did something happen at work?"

"Yes!" Alice lightly massaged her slender legs.

"Didn't my previous Hospital Director, Director Church, commit suicide? Now, they brought in a new director from Seavale.

"This new director has a powerful background. He seems to be a scion of some influential family but was sent here because he made some mistake.

"Tsk, tsk. Even after being demoted, he still managed to become the director of Hill Crest Hospital, which just shows how powerful his family is!"

Hearing this, Kingsley thought of something and asked, "Even with the new director taking office, they shouldn't make you stand for an entire afternoon, right?"

Alice replied in a helpless tone, "It's because something happened to the new director's son. The son had just arrived in Cleapolis for less than two days and got brutally attacked! He was rushed to the A&E Department yesterday and underwent surgery throughout the night. Today, his condition stabilized, so he's finally out of critical condition.

"That poor young man suffered badly from the attack. One of his legs was ruthlessly severed, and he has injuries all over his body!

"So, the new director asked all the departments' doctors to consult on his son's case, fearing that there might be some hidden injuries."

Hearing Alice's words, Kingsley coughed awkwardly a few times. "And then? Were there any hidden injuries?"

"I don't know about other departments, but his heart seems to be fine."

With a resentful expression, Alice continued, "But the new director wasn't convinced. Even after I assured him that there were no hidden injuries, he wouldn't let me leave. He insisted that we all stay to make sure that his son's condition is completely stable before letting us off work!

"So, forced to become the son's attending physicians, we stood in front of his bed for the entire afternoon. It was truly exhausting!"
