Xander’s unexpected arrival dispersed Melanie’s previously gloomy mood. Meredith was also ecstatic as she crawled about Xander happily.

chocolate away from her. “Children can’t eat chocolate.”

Meredith did not understand what Melanie said and just looked at her with her big eyes. When she saw Melanie was not giving the chocolate to her, she looked at her with blame and complained in her gurgled, baby voice, “Mommy, give!”
