Chapter 6
Chapter 6
My heart was pounding in my chest as I ran towards the bathroom. I can’t believe I had almost thrown up on a Vampire, and not just any Vampire, the Vampire King. I reached my hand out and grabbed the door to the bathroom, swinging it wide open and slamming it shut behind me. I dived for the toilet, thanking the Heavens the seat had been left up, and emptied my stomach of its contents. I continued to drive heave, not knowing if I had a case of severe motion sickness, or anxiety, probably a little bit of both.
Once I felt safe to get up, I slowly picked myself up off the bathroom floor, and made my way to the sink, to wash my face off. I turned the water on cold, and ducked my head under the faucet, gathering water in my mouth so I could swish it around, cleaning out my mouth. Afterwards I gulped down some water from the faucet, hoping to ease my stomach, Once I finished cleansing myself up, I peaked around at the bathroom. It was amazing. The bathtub looked like a lap pool, and it had so many knobs and buttons for different settings and temperatures. Past the bathtub, there was a walk-in shower, the shower head set up to release water like a rain cloud, outside the shower there was also a ton of features to choose from to change the water pressure, temperature, lighting, and other things inside the shower. The bathroom was definitely befitting a king.
“Human,” The king called. “ Are you okay in there.”
His voice made me jump and my heart race. Fuck, what if he’d caught me snooping around. I ran out of the bathroom swinging the door open wide, smacking no other than the Vampire King in the face.
“Fuck, I think you broke my nose.” He growled out. His hands covering his face.
“Teaches you to spy on a woman while she’s using the facilities.” I murmured under my breath, forgetting he had super sonic hearing.
“I wasn’t spying on you human,” He growled, dropping his hand off his face, his nose already having healed. “ I was inquiring on your well being.”
“I have a name you know.” I said glaring at him, my hands crossed over my chest.
His flashed red for a moment, before returning to his cerulean blue.
“ I need not know your name human,” He sneered, moving closer towards me, “You’re just a source of nutrition to me, nothing more.”
I felt a shiver go down my spine, as I slowly backed away from him. He continued to approach me, cornering me against the wall.
“There’s no where to run human, I’ve got your cornered now.” He put his hands on either side of my head, pinning me between his arms.
A wise person would’ve begged for forgiveness. I never said I was wise, I blame my short fuse on being a red head.
“What does cornering a defenseless woman, make the big bad Vampire King, feel like a big shot?” I asked in a condescending tone.
His eyes were now a vivid blood red and his fangs were showing. My heart felt like it was going to beat out of my chest, and I knew he could hear it. I closed my eyes waiting for him to drink from me. He inhaled deeply, and let out a low groan, before taking a step back from me. I slowly opened my eyes, trying to figure out why I was still alive. Was this a cat and mouse game? Did he enjoy the chase.
“This is your only warning human. Don’t talk to me like that ever again.” He growled at me. His eyes still a blazing red.
“Y..ye…yes.” I stammered, the fire that was inside of me, having been smothered.
There was a quite knock and the door, before a pretty blond girl entered. She had long blond hair, and beautiful blue eyes. She wore a pretty navy dress, that had a v shaped neckline, her cleavage
threatening to burst out.
“The clothes you requested sire,” She said, bowing her head down in respect.
“Put them on the desk.” He responded, not taking his eyes off of me.
“Yes your highness.” The servant girl responded, walking across the room, and placing the clothes onto the desk.
“Is there anything else I can assist you with King Nikolai,” she asked, batting her eyelashes at him.
He turned towards her, a smiled showing his perfectly white teeth. “Actually yes,” he responded. “What is your name?”
“Emma. Emma Macantee.”
“Who is your sire Emma.” He questioned.
“Lord Jasper.” She responded. Property © NôvelDrama.Org.
I Stifled a gasp, she was a vampire too, but she looked human.
“Ahh the Jasper lineage, a strong lineage indeed.” The king said nodding his head, as if he was pondering something.
“Emma, would you like to join me in my chambers within the hour?” He asked her.
Did he seriously just set up a booty call in front of me. I rolled my eyes, and let out a small snort. The king turned towards me, and I feigned innocence.
“Why yes, your highness. I’d love to join you.” Emma said, her face beaming.
“Good,” The king responded. “ I’ll see you in two hours then, and please, while you’re in here, call me Nik.”
Oh so Mr. Big Bad Vampire King, does have manners. I rolled my eyes again, this entire scene was irritating me.
“Yes Nik.” Emma said blushing, turning to leave the room. She shut the door quietly behind her and it was just me and the vampire king again.
“ I thought all vampires had cerulean eyes. Her’s are blue, like a sky blue.” I blurted out.
“Emma is part Vampire, Part Human.” He responded.
I couldn’t hide the disgust from my face, people breed with these monsters. Luckily the King wasn’t paying attention to me, his focus on the item the servant had brought in.
“Here,” The king beckoned me to his desk, holding up the items Emma had delivered. “You can change into this.”
I took the clothing item from him. It was a gorgeous emerald green dress, with a deep neckline. Noticing there was no bra or panties with it, I quickly disrobed and put the dress on over the bikini.
“Thank you.” I mumbled.
“Ah, So you are versed in manners.”
“Respect is not given freely, it is earned.” I responded back.
“I am the King. I don’t need to earn anyone’s respect.”
I rolled my eyes again. This man was so damn cocky.
‘Did you just roll your eyes at me,” He growled.
