The Woman From Hell

Chapter 2633

Shannon stopped smiling when she noticed that I had gotten mad and said to me seriously, "Okay, Wanda. I was wrong. I promise there'll be no next time, alright?" She grabbed my hand and shook it.

I lost to her. I was becoming more and more like a child.

I looked at her and asked, "Are you and Jordan really okay?"

"It's nothing." Shannon shook her head.

Turning my gaze to Marius, I said calmly, "Tell her what she said last night."

Marius hesitated a little when he heard this. "That... isn't such a good idea, right? What if it was just a dream?"

"Say it." I was getting mad.

"Alright then." Marius directed his gaze to Shannon. "You mentioned an affair last night. You said something about cheating.

"But I wasn't able to catch the specifics clearly."

He tacked on at the end.

My eyes were fixed on Shannon's expression. As I observed her, I noticed that she was calm and indifferent.

"Jordan's just been traveling often for business recently. I'm just not very happy with him,"NôvelDrama.Org: owner of this content.

Shannon revealed.

Jordan was on a business trip. It explained why no one answered the door when we went to her house last night. "That's it?" I asked her, still worried.

Shannon nodded. "Yes. What else is there? What? Did you think I had gotten into an argument with Jordan?"

"No, I'm just worried about you since you were acting off yesterday."

For a moment, I was flustered when I recalled Shannon having drunk so much all of a sudden last night before waltzing off with a stranger.

Shannon patted my shoulder and

said with a smile, "Don't worry. You'll be the first person I tell if something happens asked Jordan last night when n he would be coming back. He said it was going to take a white, so I got a little depressed. I'm alright now."

"Then you're the one who's wrong. The man is working hard for his career. As a good wife, you should stand behind him and encourage him. You need to cheer for him. How can you sulk?"

Marius expressed his opinion from a man's perspective.

Both Shannon and I looked at Marius, and he immediately closed his mouth. "I won't say anything else." He made a gesture of zipping his mouth. At least he was self-aware. "Alright. As long as you're fine. I'm just very worried about you." I was relieved seeing that Shannon was actually alright.

She hugged me, her eyes almost closed. "Yes, don't worry. It's about time you head over to Grant Corporation. Don't delay work because of me."

Looking up at the time, I realized

how late it was and quickly stood up.

"I really have to go now. You guys

pack up and head over to the company too. Don't slack off"

"Don't worry, President Lane. We'll head over right away."

I nodded and left the apartment.

I got into the car and was about to start it when I received a call from Jordan. "Wanda, what happened last night? You called me all of a sudden."

"It's okay. Shannon got drunk yesterday but there was no one home when I tried to take her back. I learned you've gone on a business trip." "Then, how is Shannon now..."

Smiling, I replied slowly, "It's all settled, don't worry. Shannon has always been the insecure type. You should come back early and put her at ease."

"I got it." Jordan's voice did not sound off. "I didn't answer her calls last night because of work. She might have gotten a little anxious. I can understand that."

It turned out that this was the case.

"She's a bit like a child, so you should be nicer to her."

"Alright."

We ended the call. Since Jordan called me, it meant that he and Shannon were truly alright.

With that, I was completely relieved and drove to Grant Corporation. There were still a lot of things to be dealt with.
